Let me tell you all something. I grew up in the 80's, but i never watched the smurfs or anything from that time, all i ever saw was the stuff my mom grew up watching, Warner Bros, Disney, Tex Avery, Fleischer Bros. All containing similar stuff to this video and guess what, i turned out absolutely fine! And as mentioned, cartoons are not fully made for kids!!!!

I LOVED the Tom and Jerry series and Felix the cat when i was a kid. Felix was always getting drunk, and the violence and such made me love Tom and Jerry. I'm 22 now, i HATE cigarettes, i drink very rarely, and when i do, i limit my self. The reason they worry so much is cause parents don't know how to watch there children. so they chose to let the tv watch them. When there kid learns something on tv instead of turning it off and talking to them, they blame the network.

Between censoring cartoons, banning peanut butter in schools, putting a helmet on every kid who rides a toboggan... It's like a conspiracy to raise a generation of pussies. They're even taking wood shop class out of high schools. I had a great childhood with the cartoons I watched and so will my own kids, even if I have to dust off old video tapes to do it. All you folks who want to censor all the "racist" or "smoking" cartoons. Go fuck yourselves, pansies.

I highly doubt any child ever smoked a cigarette because Tom and Jerry showed him it was OK. Who legislates the mothers and fathers that smoke around their kids? It's much more likely that a parent or relative or other adult in their lives would influence them to smoke. This is, of course, bull. Turner should look into getting a corporate backbone.
