  • i didn't know hospitals have alarms

  • I'm actually going to be working at a hospital with a fire alarm system similar to that one! But instead of strobes, some areas have incandescent lights with the word "FIRE" on triangular-shaped lens

  • God, that would get on my nerves

  • 4100 w speaker strobe truealert

  • *pulls fire alarm and alarm sounds :D*

  • Did I do that? lol

  • 4903 sieres truealert spkr strobe

  • Is this in saint josophs hospital??!!

  • 4100u w no message

  • @lkfcobra It may have a message it's just that it could've been programmed to play the message two or three times after a first round of that whooping and we missed it because the uploader didn't start the video until after it was done. Notice that the alarm stops about 30 seconds into the video. Correct me if I'm wrong but I've never seen a fire drill that only lasts 30 seconds lol

  • ive had surgery during one of these before.not like anyone would bother to tell me when i woke up though

  • Sounds like one of those raid alarms they used to use during hte war.

  • *out

  • Oh my god that alarm scares the fuck our of me. Im not scared of it, its the sound

  • What hospital?

  • Those are the same alarms as in my local movie theater!

  • i was visiting someone in hospital when the fire alarm went off! it really scared us! the entire hospital was evacuated we were all standing outside and u could hear all the sirens from the fire engines in the distance! I remember walking out and all the shutters for the cafe's and that were closing themselves!

  • @zacywacytheboxer Yeah they had emergency shutters set up some buildings have those instead of fire doors the thing comes down and blocks the path completely instead of just a door that you can open and close. They have to be reset to make them open.

  • THAT must of been SCARY!!!

  • dam if i was having surgery on my right arm that day from falling hard onto it d be screaming really loud!

  • recorded on my birthday

  • Did any one eles think that that sounded like a tornado siren but cut off??

  • Older hospitals usually used chimes for fire alarms, since a harsh sound could frighten cardiac patients.

  • It looks like a simplex TrueAlert speaker/strobe or another simplex model but either it doesn't have a voice message or the message only plays at the beginning and the video started afterwards. And the siren noise is definitely a Simplex tone.

  • try UCSF, 5th floor...and the doctors locking you in the room, when your first instinct is to use the exit.

  • This sounds all too familiar.

  • you're supposed to be getting out, not recording it.

  • @fayesthing fThat's what my dorm paremt yelled at me about once!

  • @hyperbaricchicken101 Dorm parent?

  • @Gb755c that was my old hyperbaricchicken101 channel which i shut down but yeah i stay at the dorm at School which is why i can only access my account on the weekends.

  • @fayesthing hospitals have different procedures than other buildings when it comes to fire alarms because they have patients of varying levels of health. There is simply not enough staff to evacuate them all in a timely manner. And as the title says it was just a drill

  • scary

  • I cocked my head sideways when I watched this!

  • Hosputals have chimes.

  • Thumbs up if you had to turn your laptop sideways to see this video!

  • @pianoguy101

id have to turn my 21 inch hd screen on its side so no thanks lmao

  • @firedude201234 Why are you trying to show off? I can't turn my 46 inch samsung HD moniter around because its mounted on the wall...

  • @AmersiPhone At least you have a 46" HD monitor I would like one but they are too expensive

  • I think it has already done the 2 voice messages. If not, it is weird for it not to be set on voice evac...

Btw, those are simplex truealert speaker strobes.

  • I'm not kidding either.

  • This exact sound and the same alarm went off in my ear. It was a truealert just like in this video. It was FREAKING loud!!!!!!! It hurt my ear!

  • A Simplex TrueAlert Speaker/Strobe is there.

  • That sounds exactly like the fire alarms at the middle school near my house. They do a female voice message too, and they use the same speaker alarms as in this video

  • @wileyk209zback What does the message on the middle school alarm say?

  • @Gb755c I don't know; I only heard the Slow Whoop when they were testing the alarms one afternoon during school February vacation. The panel is a Simplex 4100U.

  • Is this at Robert Wood Johnson?

  • Simplex Voice Evac TrueAlerts?

  • yup

  • they should have had it on chime!!! it's a hospital, don't make people freaked out because you made your alarm sound a tornado warning

  • That's the 4100U slow whoop. When Simplex came out with this system I think they altered the pitch just a little compared to the other slow whoop.

  • There is no such thing as "4100U slow whoop." This tone can be found on the optional 4100U voice evac add-on or the newer 4003.

  • Oh. weatherdan referred to it as the "4100U slow whoop" so that's why I said that.

  • @BandGeek6241 It's true, it IS the 4100U Slow Whoop, but doesn't just pertain to the 4100U, as c&s20 said, as I do own an INFOAlarm, but the INFOAlarm, as well as the original 4100U can have different tone settings by having the Simplex Tech change it. That's what I plan to do to mine.

  • thought it was a simplex rectangular fire alarm but it is a Simplex TrueAlert Speaker/Strobe

  • That is a Simplex TrueAlert speaker strobe.

  • cool now shut up

  • Why do I need to shut up? I was just saying what the alarm was.

  • Preston, please stop being an asshole to trevor.

  • on its side i was confused of what it was i turned my head and its a true alert speaker strobe

  • lets see, old men and women had heart attacks, people with broken legs went holy shit and the visitors jumped...(out the window)

  • Looks like this has to be a Simplex 4100U voice-evac because I can tell by the slow whoops.

  • I hate to be having surgury while this is going on

  • @zachray263 now THAT would suck....

  • @zachray263 Haha, I was hospitalized nearly 3 years ago and one morning the fire alarm went off.

  • The main hospital in my town has fire alarms like that, but many of them have an older triangle-shaped light with "FIRE" on the lens

  • @wilek209 They are probably older speaker/strobes the triangle-shaped strobes are no longer used for new systems.

  • @wilek209 They have those in my old elmentary school's restrooms
