Is this the one CHINA buy from Ukraine and TRY TO make aircrafts carrier which is scare those little country in South East Asia like Vietnam, Lao, Cambodia.....
- Give China some credits if they can scare little countries. But not to the Western world, mainly just a COPY CAT and now Soviet Union gone with the wind and even Russia sell anythings to copy cat CHINA they must watchout...
- Worst things are USA make a big deal with that Varyag model 1904 kkkk
Is there something wrong with description (text, history-facts) in my clip ?
This is not a politics-thread and not intended to be. Pictures are just referring to the past - this is when this song was written and what the theme of this song is about. I'd like people to talk abut the song, my playing, the clip as a whole (in total - not only excerpts) - but not about war, politics or just parts of this. Thanks a lot..
I don't know something about Varyag (the old one in this clip) and the modern Aircraft-Carrier Varyag. Do you have any links/facts to prove a relationship between both ? Is there any ralationship at all (beside the same name) ? Do you want me to add this information (in case you have some) to my clip ?
Very beautifully done. You are an excellent accordonist. I have added your rendition of "The Hiils of Manchuria" to my Russian Playlist, and I have also subscribed to your channel. Andy
... and I hope people like my channel too, because I wanted to create some special playlists. I like music in general, history, diversity and sound of all kind of instruments and songs.
Thank you for your hint. I took this from Wikipedia:
She was present at the Battle of Port Arthur where she was torpedoed by Japanese destroyers and grounded, five men were killed. She was repaired and took part in the Battle of the Yellow Sea, where she was hit by 18 shells and suffered 6 dead and 43 wounded. She was subsequently trapped in Port Arthur and sunk at her moorings by numerous howitzer shells on 6 December 1904, during the Siege of Port Arthur.
Retvizan was raised by the Japanese and repaired at Sasebo between 1906 and 1908. Renamed Hizen, she served in the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War I, in which she took part in the hunt for the cruiser squadron of Maximilian von Spee and in the Japanese intervention in the Russian Civil War. She was retired as a result of the Washington Naval Treaty in 1923 and sunk as a target ship in the Bungo straits on 12 July 1924.
This is awesome! I love the Russian style,it sounds so......(insert positive adjective here) If by some reason you ever put out a CD I would buy it! even itunes. Danke for posting Herr Vieenrose!
yeah, you name it. I couldn't leave my fingers off the accordion when I heard it the very first time here on YT. My fingers and brains just forced me to play this. ;-)
I absolutely LOVE your beautiful playing that is full of verve and musicality! I am now a fan! Thanks for creating all the interesting videos... I will view them all now! -- Mary Kay
Als ich das Stück zum erstenmal hörte, wusste ich sofort, dass ich nicht umhin komme es zu spielen. Ich denke man sieht (und hört) auch, weshalb... ;-)
Fran, I have to repeat myself because this so important to me and it describes my inner feelings about playing accordion and "quality" connected with "emotions" concerning playing accordion (always remember - we are NOT professional, but amateurs instead):
Playing is not as easy as it sounds... it took quite a while to play it like that because it is one of the difficult waltzes (many fast changing chords and multivoiced - often in conjunction with legato). But I am confident the result was worth the time that I spend on it. I like it very much too.

One correction - Retvizan was not Japanese. This was Russian ironclad sank in Port-Arthur harbour

Thanks my friend...
I really was in doubt to play it even faster - but most interpretations I heard so far were playing quite slow, many of them slower than mine...
but speed is always something one can play with.
