This is amazing, and in the show...I mean, Spike claimed not to like kids early on, and all throughout the series, everyone was at odd ends. But when Ed left the goodbye note (in sloppy painting, lol) and Jet said the food was ready, Spike had such a hurt look. Oh, it was so powerful. A truly amazing anime, it will never be forgotten.

@DarkFafik he isnt known outside of anime fandom because all he does is work with Yoko Kanno on anime. he certainly has the talent to go into the music business, but i guess he's chosen to work in the anime business. which i can completely empathize with. if my brain was tuned(no pun intended) toward music, i would want to work with a genius composer like Yoko Kanno too. it must be amazing to work with someone like that.

@DarkFafik steven conte was fairly well known for a brief while in the late 80s, but between numerous projects, being a member for multiple bands simultaneously, and his preference for staying mostly indy because he makes music for the sake of making music, he's stood relatively under the radar. He does, however, he does live in nyc, and goes on tour with his brother's band every now and again, so if you're ever in nyc or seattle, theres a good chance you'll see him in a few small venues.

No need to worry there, I expect it (through my research) to be surprisingly awesome. Look up the guys who are working on the film. Matrix legend Erwin Stoff. AND on top of it, the original studio and creators in Japan are so tightly involved in the project that they promised to scrap the film if it does not meet thier standers for Bebop.

Steve Conte is probably one of the great lost rock stars: he belongs in that great lineage, really. It's almost like he's too good to have made it today. If he'd have been around in th 70s he'd have been massive.
