  • Amazing, i like better than the original

  • Should've done Headlong instead, he screws this one up.

  • Sounds like great remake by Bad Company!!.... No disrespect to Freddy Mercury

  • esta cancion me mata!

  • agreed PR is no Freddie....but this was something different....a real tribute to and by Queen. The idea put me off at the beginning, but adding the "odd" choice of PR only made the song shine without copying the original. And PR proves again he is one of the better front men ever.

  • Yeah everyone's on the same page that it's not up to par with one of the greatest vocalists in rock history, but do you think freddie would like to see Queen stop playing just because of his passing? Wherever he is I'm sure he's watching this and smiling.

  • that awkward moment when the top comments are the complete opposite.

  • You guys do know that Freddie Mercury, himself, was a huge fan of Paul Rodgers. Thus, Paul was asked to lead Queen upon Freddie's death.

  • @elknobomucho-You're a joke! Paul Rodgers, former lead singer of Bad Company has smoothly crooned his way through 40 years of classic American rock and roll. This "caricature" as you so stupidly put it, has a trillion times more nerve and talent as you will never have, so shut your Twinky bandit cakehole until you have the vaguest inkling of what the phuck you're so mindlessly babbling about.

  • @sinviernoche Jesus christ...some much twaddle...so much shitty spelling. By the way..american rock and roll? that says it all....

  • @sinviernoche American rock and roll? Bad Company was from England, and Rodgers started out in Free, also from England. Not alot of America in there.

You guys think you are responsible for every cool thing in the world -.-

  • Who the fuck is Paul Rodgers? He's a joke....a caricature. It's ironic that he has the nerve to be up his own arse....talentless nobody!!!

  • @elknobomucho You're a gay twit

  • @70goldtop Really. Looks to me like 'ol Paul there would know a lot more about being gay than me. Just look at the fucker for christ's sake...leather pants..false teeth...plastic surgery...a relic with fucking a hair piece. See at the strat pack concert ...so much talent on show and then there was him. He was embarrassing!!

  • @elknobomucho Oh my God you may be right.....Now upload yourself so no one has to second guess anything

  • @70goldtop Of course I'm right...I knew you'd see the light eventually. And there was I thinking you were an arsehole. Ha!

  • I miss Freddy as much as any fan, but you have to admit, this song rocks. I am glad someone is still able to give us his music with as much intensity as it was intended. Thank you paul rogers.

  • for gods sake Freddie is dead. Its a new band. no big effin deal. Enjoy

  • I'm watching this for Brian Harold May. Just listen to that sound.

  • At least they should find a man that has the voice more powerful than Roger! In this show Paul Rodgers' voice always disappeared under Roger's voice

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they are still Freaking Awesome with paul.

  • that's a loud base drum. (happy

    troll? face)

  • Thumbs up if you thought it was TOM GREEN being displayed in the preview screen!

  • Okay, by this comment, I am not inviting someone to try and attack it. I just think that Queen, if they're going to tour, should get Marc Martels. Just saying.

  • Paul is awesome. Freddy must be proud at him :D

  • THIS is what Willis was talkin' 'bout!

  • that guitar is so thin its probably weightless

  • We all know Paul Rodgers is known as The Voice... I'd hereby like to put forth a petition to name Roger's drumming at 3:03.. The Drumfill!

  • Paul's vocals work better on some Queen songs than others... no one can deny he knocks this one out of the park! What a performance!

  • @trumsolon Totally agree

  • @trumsolon It's a little bit the same discussion Bon Scot Vs Brian Johnson AC/DC. But yes I do not hear so many Freddie phrases - but I think, yhey have had that talk during rehearsels?

  • if we say that one man "ROCKS" we mean it when it comes to brian may. and like to the "white man" tribute in the beggining.

  • paul is #1 over freddie the voice alone over powers freddie dont you think

  • he was the singer from Bad Company right? he fits queen so well, not as much as freddie's though. almost like it was planned :o

  • Queen needs to find a Filipino singer like journey ;)

  • i mis freddie's voice...

  • why does these videos keep stopping?

  • Paul R is awesome, has been since his Free days.....

  • hes no Freddie just my opinion but that's what happens with great bands

  • Look at the audience,,,. they're voting for it,,I think here you have a man whom Freddie and his band mates would ave invited to jam anytime and were likely mates, who is giving everything hes got to pay tribute to someone he admires enough to cover, and also to bring it to the fans. Thank you Paul

  • I respect Paul and he's a great vocalist, but this just doesn't work. I would actually prefer a Freddie clone over him. He makes every Queen song sound like Bad Company. The feel and vocal inflection is really lacking. I was lucky enough to see Freddie 4 times live so maybe I'm just jaded? For me, everything about this is difficult to watch.

  • @ZenDriveSeven you dont clone freddie, he is a one of a kind, but i agree with you, no one can replace freddie, it would just not be the same

  • @ZenDriveSeven That's because you're probably gay and don't don't like blues rock.

  • paul was best choice to join queen

  • @M1SSMAGIC

He is or was not joining them, he was just a guest...a performer, an interpretator. A really good interpretator.

  • stop about complaining about freddie not being there! Paul is better than any of us and is a kick-ass singer Freddie would be proud and whatever happens, he is dead so we can't do anything about it

  • Brian May still looks and plays so powerful but Roger Taylor looks like a overweighted heap of half-hearted and powerless thing. I think he is not even playing live....he is deifnately too old fpr gigs like these.

  • @MrJudgeSauter Ouch...kinda harsh. I'd say (especially taking his age into concideration) that he is an absolutely fantastic drummer, as he always was.

  • @no1doesitlikeme

Please get me right....the age is not a problem. The quality is...If you watch the whole concert you can get an idea of what I mean.

Mick Fleetwood is older an still plays live, minutelong solos and is unmistakeable.

  • @MrJudgeSauter Well what you said was pretty rude man, and I have watched the whole concert, had the DVD for years, and I don't think someone who drums so well at his age should take such heavy criticism.

  • @no1doesitlikeme

Did not want to be rude. Just my opinion and yes, the criticism is provokating...I know.

But in comparison to the others in stage, I think he is kind of powerless....

  • @MrJudgeSauter Leave roger alone, and stop being so rude.

  • @debbie1879

Can you read? It is MY opinion. Has nothing to with beeing rude.

  • This song is awesome them 28 people suck!!

  • NO NO NO NO NO NO. queen without freddie mercury is like a sandwich without the condiments.

  • RODGERS, YOU KNOW HOW TO SING, AND IT's OK NOBODY CAN SING LIKE FREDDIE.

  • let's appreciate rodgers w/o revisionism please? queen set themselves apart overtime by forgoing blues-based rock, led zep, 60s rock etc. they pushed the envelope with non-traditional/"serious" rock influences. FBG was done as naughty, vulgar but still good-natured sexy humor - Fred was like a presh jester! OK if rodgers does it straight-faced bluesy twang, blokey bloke. no need to defend rodgers by dumping on freddie & queen's highly unique approach (still controversial!)- or vice versa.

  • MAN, What excellent, bitchin tone from Brian's guitar................my ears are melting....PERFECT ROCK-n- ROLL TONE!!!!!!!

  • I've ALWAYS liked Brian May's unique guitar sound!

  • He should just take the position of lead singer and be done with it so that they can record new material and just be bad ass.

  • They could have gotten a Freddie look-alike or somebody off the street who doesn't know shit about the band but instead they talked a veteran rock singer with an already impressive resume to join them. So take it and like it for what it is, If you don't like it don't watch.

  • Brian May is the shit.

  • @boots2bagpipes

Just watch you languege on here, if you dont like it then dont watch.

  • @debbie1879 Being "the shit" is a good thing, kind of like bad is good. Slang's a funny thing.

  • Nobody could ever "replace" Freddie Mercury, I think he was a once in a life time vocal artist. That being said, I think Paul Rodgers did an awesome job. He made the songs his own, but they were still very enjoyable, and true to the original spirit with which Feddie endowed them. I offer you a virtual standing ovation Mr. Rodgers.

  • Brian and Roger your are my heroes. Freddie's been dead for twenty years and you guys still rock. If you weren't around we would be forced to listen to Justin Beieber and Lady gaga. Thank You for rocking all over the world for over 40 years.

  • nobody can replace freddie RIP.....but you got to admit Paul does one hell of a job as a sub for him and this song is testament to that fact

  • may and the boys made the rught choice please play kansas city

  • Rodgers makes any song great. So smooth, so bluesy his pitch is always spot on, a great singer.

  • Ten gośc to nie to samo co Freddie:-(

  • Not the same without John Deacon and Freddy, but they still sound great.

  • I was at this show and the amount of people I heard saying outside the arena after the show, oh he is no Freddie, was really annoying. He wasn't ever trying to be and made that clear in many TV interviews before the tour. Paul Rodgers is a phenomenal singer and really did the show, Freddie and the rest of the band proud. Rock on Paul!!!

  • 23 people are jealous because they can't perform music like this.

  • 23 people still respect good music

  • The writing and playing can carry this song through any singer. PR is doing a good job and getting the crowd involved. Well done.

    Long Live Freddie.

  • PR in Queen is like when your mother dies and God takes her place...

  • They had to find the straightest guy they could find to fill in for Freddie? Tom Jones wasn't available?

Too bad George Michael decided to be a hermit.

  • @demonhoopa Queen's music was never GAY, Paul Rodgers is a EXCELLENT lead singer for Queen...Look at at this way, for the 1st time in Queen's history, all the members like FAT BOTTOMED GIRLS...

  • @rwaggs62 Huh? Seaside Rendevous? Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon? Killer Queen? The Fairy Fellers Master Stroke? Take my Breath Away?

Yeah those songs are OOZING Testosterone. LOL.

  • @demonhoopa You don't get it...I meant Homosexuality, although Freddie was, Queen's music didn't excite the gay masses, like say REM's music does...Bicycle Race, Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon, etc., Queen's fans, in huge amounts were straight as an arrow, more open minded maybe, but queer, not...Tie Your Mother Down, Ogre Battle, Liar, Dead on Time, Let Me Entertain you, screamed with Heterosexuality...and the fans who liked them did too...

  • @rwaggs62 Well I guess we BOTH "don't get it" then because actual "Homosexuality" and the sexual preference of Queen's audience was not what I was referring to. I was talking about the flair in the songs and performances of Freddie which are commonly associated with being "gay". Paul Rogers is nearly as bad a replacement as I could have come up. Why didn't they just get it over with and get Glen Danzig or Henry Rollins? Was Toby Keith not available? ROFL

  • @rwaggs62 You are correct. Some people don't get it. Queen appeal to the masses.

  • @rwaggs62 The majority of Queen songs were actually written in tongue and cheek i.e. "I want to break Free" which was written by John Deacon and it was Rogers idea to dress up in drag! All about humour. People can cherry pick what they would regard as "gay" but even songs like seaside rendevouz is not "gay" it's part of the genre of vaudeville. People should take a look at their catalogue before making such statements. daeth on two legs, liar, march of the black queen, hammer to fall, wwry+watc

  • I think Paul Rodgers is trying way to hard to be like Freddie. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of "the new Queen." I much prefer the original, but I give props to Brian May and Rodger Taylor for still going at it. I know Freddie would be proud :)

  • Such an electrifying song the people up top getting into it.

And I love Paul's shirt, I want it.

  • Do you have ears ?

This music performance is incredible quality.

Brian got a feeling, and Rodger got the rythm.

    Paul made it together.

  • Paul Rodgers is holding it down. Freddie would be proud.

  • @xXxdorkxlightxXx

I totally agree. I think Freddie's love of music would transcend musicians in a band and be just about the music its self

  • That was a performance. Not Freddie but real good anyway and a great mix..

  • OMG FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BRIAN DON'T DROP A NOTE OR YOU WILL BE ROUNDHOUSED TO THE FACE!!!

  • Go Roger!! Thats got to be the meatiest drumming I've ever heard!!

  • This buffoon has no place here

  • @satanaonline Dude, what the hell are you doing spamming these videos? Christ, get a life.

  • And for all you haters, don't forget, Freddie Mercury actually suggested that Paul Rodgers be the singer for Queen when they were first starting out.

  • i like queen.....

    and i like paul rodgers.....

but who's better? only one way to fine out!

  • This performance is better than the studio take.

  • The world should audition for queen singer, and see who sounds like freddie mercury, cuz this isnt queen singing

  • @Dj1nky Paul Rodgers doen't try to pass himself off as Freddie, he has the respect to realise that he shouldn't try to sound like somebody else. It Queen + Paul Rodgers, not Queen + some guy who hasn't got his own style...

  • Paul Rogers is still good after all these years.

  • not the same without freddie but still realy awesome

  • I can't believe people ask who the singer is..

  • hey, where's Deacon?

  • @jgmartino

he retired in 1997, he never joined Queen+PR.

  • takes a lot to fill Freddie's shoes, even to try :)

  • Comment removed

  • ......he will never be as good as freddie mercury

  • freddie mercury was better...im not very impressed... he is really good though

  • @sk8amerika no one is going to look good compared to the lat great freddie mercury

  • luv this song

  • Paul looks GREAT !!! He has played with the some of the Best Ever. The Firm Jimmy Page, Bad Co. Keep Rockin Paul !!

  • No one will ever replace Freddy but Paul Rodgers does a pretty good job. Love to watch them play.

  • The reason Queen's sound was soo powerful when they sang together was because Roger's really good on the very high notes, Brian May on the lower. And Freddie had a veery powerful voice in almost every case. SO when they sang together they covered everything and made a really cool sound. This does not happen with Paul. : /

  • Bad Queen Company

  • who is the guy singing? Sounds good!

  • I'm kinda changing my mind about Paul Rodgers. No Freddie, but this is definately THE BEST a rock band can be by now. Killers, STrokes, Muse can dream to sing/play/se the people on fire like this.

  • @Vendimi3 Give them 20 years... Muse will reach Queen status.

  • @xXxdorkxlightxXx Yeah that comment about Muse was out of line. Sick of my bitter old peers bagging on the current generation.

  • @Vendimi3 Paul Rodgers is a beast. He may not be freddie mercury but god damn he has pipes

  • @Vendimi3 muse is pretty good. This is AMAZING, but muse knights of cydonia is the best live peformance of any song ever. expecially at wembly

  • @Vendimi3 it is very sad to see Paul and Queen, not together any more, very sad !!!! best band very put together .. i have been to many Queen shows and when Paul joined them they have become a very special band , Freddy yes was a good singer but will never be a Paul Rodgers, sure there are the gay followers Queen has !! i Seen this band in Ukraine And two other places and with Paul and his song with Queens Songs,God Dam !!! there is no band that even comes close to put the show on like them !

  • Any band as big as Queen is hard to keep going once you lose a singer, but I feel that Paul is so classy in his renditions of these songs, and he's a real Frontman, with a world class voice, you fall in love with him right away. You just say, damn, what a great singer and he loves the songs. It's a gift really these four crossed paths.

  • @droid740 you mean three.

  • @droid740 Great words, no one could have said it better. Thank You!

  • Chuck Norris! hahhahahahahahahahaha!

PR should go back to Bad Co, and they need George Michaels or similar to

at least try and sing these songs IMHO

  • @sbrave Why, what's wrong with PR?

  • @RisteMakedonski He's a great blues singer and perfect for Bad Co, but not for Queen. Totally different voices...

  • I love Queen and I love Paul

  • Great to see Paul enjoying himself singing this song.

Haters were dissing the whole idea of Paul touring with Queen but I think people seeing these songs performed, both Queen's and Paul's will be amazed. Hopefully they'll get together and tour again.

  • Still has a great voice !!

  • Queen now introgucing their new lead singer . . . . . . . CHUCK NORRIS!

  • WTF!? I didnt know Danny Bonaduce played with Queen!

  • why do 21 people have to be so gay

  • I think it was cool they went old school. Bring in a little young fairy who sings like freddie and it would be old poser's just trying to get young again.

  • Comment removed

  • hate this guy so much :(

  • this has freddie mercury seal of approval

  • niesamowite wykonanie.......:))))

  • Is that really Roger's own hair? It makes him look like an elf!

  • It's really kind of sad to see Roger and Brian so old. Makes me wonder... maybe it was, in a way, good that Freddie died so young. I mean, of course everybody misses him and of course he was like some sort of angel ;-) but imagine angel Mercury being 60 years old, bent, grey-haired or bold, all wrinkled like Brian and Rog... that just doesn't seem right. Only the good die young...

  • @thereez93 Actually, I think Brian looks healthier than he's ever looked! He always looked like a living skeleton in his younger days!

  • @thereez93 HEY, wtf DO U MEAN BY THAT???HOW MANY SIXTY YEAR OLDS DO YOU SEE LOOK SO YOUNG AND PLAYING ROCK IN HUGEW VENUES TO ALL THOSE PEOPLE??????

  • comparing P.R with Freddie is impossible, Freddie was the legend, best singer ever of all times.

  • How do you get 60 and still have body like Paul Rodgers? I mean really, how do you PHYSICALL do that?!

    o.O

  • @Ratshee You be a Rock N' Roll God

  • The one thing thats missing that makes this song ferking awsome is roger's drum roll. yeah its there but not like the studio version. I firmly believe roger taylors drumming is some of the most underrated drums ever and definitely some of the best sounding drums ever recorded... save for maybe bonham's drums.

  • damn chuck norris has some pipes!

  • I've always loved Paul Rodgers, so I think it's great that he's with Queen!!

  • this is the closet thing to Freddie I've ever seen!!!

  • paul rodgers looks like chuck norris. also queen = Gods of music

  • What is Chuck Norris Doin on Queen Band? :D

  • @vampireguionbajogaru Okay. I love Paul Rogers but that is funny.

  • @vampireguionbajogaru Kickin ass of course

  • @vampireguionbajogaru KICKING ASS!!!

  • if i was paul id be embarrassed to sing this crap

  • I have avoided watching any Queen vids with Rogers and I have been very critical of it, but after hearing him doing this, my favorite Queen song... I must say he did pretty damned good. Not Freddy, noone ever will be but this is a nice sound and his lower vocal range fits this tune well.

  • There's nothing wrong with a fat bottom girl I can tell ya!

  • He's not Freddie, but Damn the guy is good. I guess the main thing is that the music is living on, and they sound great!

  • Freddie wouldn't hate.

Brian May introduced him once as "Our hero, our friend, Mister Paul Rodgers." If he has Brian's seal of approval he has mine.

  • Jeez you knockers talk crap. I never liked Queen much, but I'll sure as hell listen to this. Good hard gutsy stuff. Mercury was all flamboyance. Paul made Bad Company what it was and sure makes Queen a legitimate rock band. Radio gaga, radio googoo? what the hell is that? Kindergarten words. Give me a break. Pah!

  • don't get mad.....Paul makes somebody else's stuff sound like his!!!! Paul Rodgers was Freddie's favorite singer.....Definately rocks!!!!!!!

  • how has this been allowed for paul rodgers to supposedlly take freddies place, he's no good really!!! a better singer should have been chosen, just for the purpose of prolonging the careers of the remaining band!!!! i know some people are glad to hear queen live but its nothing like a true QUEEN CONCERT, compared to what they are churning out nowadays, FREDDIE IS IRREPLACEABLE full stop!!!

  • @sabbath1888 If Paul Rodgers cannot sing or perform this song properly, Brian May's got sausages, not fingers. Paul isn't Freddy, but hands off and hats off to him. You'd better get on your bike and ride! :-)

  • I agree with patricia2.. Freddie is smiling !!! oh yeah !!!!!!!!!

  • I know that what I am about to say will sound very weird. Paul did a great job indeed in singing for Queen. However, I have a feeling that there is also another great singer who could sing exceptionaly for Queen and his name is Robbie Williams. Not wanting you to make fun at me, I must say that rock music is my life and I consider Queen (with Freddie Mercury of course) one of the top bands of all time. I just have the feeling that this combination would work cause Robbie has an excelent voice

  • @JimFloyd86 We got a lot of great singers who could stand for Freddy: Robbie Williams, Sammy Hagar from Van Halen, George Michael, David Coverdale from Whitesnake for example

  • They couldn't find a better guy to sing Freddie's stuff! I never liked Paul Rogers but he has a great voice! The key here is that he was not trying to sound like Freddie!

  • I don't get why Queen didn't asked Jeff scott soto to join them he is way better at singing Queen songs than Paul Rogers is .

  • Paul=shame

  • As much as I am and have always been a fan of Paul Rodgers, I still had trouble imagining his voice on Freddie Mercury's songs. Forget that. Paul's a better singer than Freddie ever was RIP and his versions kick mad ass! I have to be up at 4am and I'm sitting here at Midnight with headphones on and can't get enough! Awesome! I hope... they do another tour. I want to see this show!

  • @BITEBOYBAND Saw this thing live and, damn, Paul is POWERFUL.

  • @BITEBOYBAND he's not better than Freddie for sure, im not saying he is bad but not as great

  • @BITEBOYBAND ARE YOU CRAZY!!!!! PAUL> FREDDIE?? Freddie is a fucking legend, he's probably the greatest rock singer ever!

  • Really good stuff. It ain't Freddy, but it doesn't have to be. The music speaks for itself and Paul does an superb job. I applaud him for not trying to be Freddy, but to put his own voice into the music. And there is nothing to say about Brian May, he's still is and has always been one of the very best in rock. Good for them
