You put the thermal paste on wrong, why do people spend tons of money on a great system and do something wrong? You should know what you're doing if you're building a computer...
i don't like coils, although they can save u sometimes but u can also use other technics to "mold" the hose to the deisered turn heating them up,in my opinion without the coils looks better
@IggyB3 I like both. The differences in performance are so minute that it’s hard to notice them unless you’re benchmarking. Intel is slightly faster, AMD is least expensive.
AMD is in desperate need of their new Bulldozer CPU to compete with Intel. As mentioned, Intel did not even need to deliver a full iteration of Sandy Bridge to match AMD's best. Isnt a matter of opinion is just the way it is...a fact
Hey I know this video is a bit old, but by far it’s the best I’ve come across. I have recently built a pc and I’m still adding stuff to make it better. What I would like to know is if I should get a liquid cooling system would I need to keep replacing it as time go by, in other words upgrading my CPU?
@andr9557 This is not a video about cable management. The video is abouts how to install a liquid cooling system; then after you verify there aren’t any leaks you run tests and verify that your components are cooled, then overclock and make any and all the modifications needed, and then make it pretty with cable management. It makes no sense to run cable management at the beginning of the process only to have to remove it as you make changes.
Yea that's a lot of thermal paste you're applying :P I bet if you added half of that and spread it nicely around you'd get an extra 4-5 degrees less idle. lol :P
Nice work :D Although would suggest putting a small blob a little bigger than a grain of rice in the centre of the cpu/gpu. The pressure will spread it out evenly and force out any air. Apparently putting a layer of it on and slapping a cooler on top is liable to trap lots of little air bubbles and can effect temps.
@addz17 Thanks for your comment. The video is not about how to apply thermal paste nor that the way I did it is the only neither the best way to do it. The only point I was trying to make with that regard was that you should put TP. As you can imagine, I’m holding the camera between my chin and my shoulder trying to keep it steady while with one hand I held the mobo and with the other I applied TP. Later I used a credit card as a squeegee to spread evenly and remove the excess thermal paste.
@SpacePandaHDDepends what you are trying to accomplish. I like them both; performance is almost equal, the stock i7 extreme is slightly faster than AMDs, but really only detectable in benchmarks. If you're OCing then is a crapshoot. If you want excellent performance and a good price choose AMD. Sorta more bang for your buck. If you got a have the fastest, Intel will be my choice (usually). If you wanna know the difference, then get both. I did.
Wow good video, this gives me a good idea and reference for when I start using water cooling :P very informative. atm I'm using a Zalaman CNPS10X Performa with 2 120mm blue led fans, which is still an awesome cooler xD 21c lowest I have seen an 44c being the highest I have seen so far lol, rendering in handbreak. again good video xD

@PUA687 Oh ok, but how you can connect the ATX conector of the Power Supply in the motherboard with the conector of the cooler conected in the ATX conector?
@slaving300 I disconnected the ATX plug from the mother board so that I could jump start the system without turning the PC on that way I can run the pump and purge the air bubbles whithout having the PC on . The cooler draws its power from the mboard when the PC is on, or the electrical system can be ‘jumped started’ without turning on the PC like I showed in the video.
@slaving300 The water pump draws power from a regular PSU 12V molex plug. Typically electricity flows when you turn the PC on. However, jumping the ATX plug with a paper clip effectively switches 12V power on without having to turn the PC on.
@PUA687 ok, but how can you connect the ATX conector of the Power Supply in the motherboard with the conector of the cooler conected in the ATX conector?
@eppiegood They are both excellent. In general you'll find that AMD will cost you less and give you as much computer power as its Intel counterpart. I find the Intel cpu better for video processing and some apps, but they are pretty close when it comes to gaming. They are so close that in most cases is not noticeable unless you put them up against each other in bench mark tests to see which outperforms the other.
@eppiegood definitely the i7 if youre not worried about budget, but theres i7's that are priced at the same range as the phenom ii x6 black edition. the i7 860, 930 , 870 and the 950
