  • Lol bragging over a win vs a washed up fighter? Roy is a legend but he's OLD as fuck and needs to retire. Nonetheless, Roys my fav boxer ever (so entertaining). Btw who's Calzaghe? Yah point made lol.

Btw this is a weird version of his song... remix?

  • everyone who pushed dislike is american!!

  • why is there even a dislike buuton

  • I hat to see rjj lose like that.

  • calzaghe can only beat has been boxers

  • Yeah a prime Roy would of won. You cant compete against a chemical barrier.

  • Jones Jr was out of his depth with Calzaghe. Too light mentally, he'd lost before he stepped in the ring

  • TO ALL CALZAGHE AND JONES JR HATERS ON THIS WALL.......HAGLER WOULD BREAK BOTH GLASS CHINNED BOXERS HERE...faster pace and aggression....jones jr struggled when boxers actually went after him and were not afraid........and calzaghe got his ass dropped against an old jones jr let alone a BOMB from a prime HAGLER.

  • A lot of people seem to think a 'prime' Jones 'would' have beaten Calzaghe. Well Calzaghe DID beat Jones, and that's the end of it!

  • put some fuckin rock music on in stead of this shite

  • @TheChaosRune the man you hear is roy jones jr himself. thats why the song is on the vid.

  • Woah, this song SUCKS SHIT!

  • @bareknuckles2u yes it does lol

  • Joe Calzaghe Just a sucker ;)

  • Calzaghe The Best!

  • calzaghe realy did beat the shit out of jones,, those slaps realy must be hard.

  • @wamampela joe isnt at his prime either you hace to see him when he was at his prime it was teice faster and had this fly left hook man u got to see that it would happen the same again people are mad because roy get beat the way he beat his oponent how doesit feel

  • wha the hell is wrong with Roy Jones' left bicept at 1:32?

  • YOU MUST OF FORGOT JOES 46 0 HOE OOOWWWW FUCK UP ROY

  • Some of you Americans are fucking retards!

  • Why do people always talk about what Jones/Tyson 'would' have done in their 'primes'?get over yourselves both Tyson and especially Jones decided to spoil their Legacies by fighting on too long how can you talk about what they would have done before when they lose?If you people are such bad losers stop watching and bitching at the people who beat them.

  • @MrConnolly25 dude ur wrong the fact that a boxer hasn't given up despite his age is proof that he still wants to test himself even if that spoils his "legacy" cuz he just doesn't care, he boxes just to box and the fact that roy jones lost a fight or particulary this fight means nohing cuz anyone could have a bad day or opponent cuz every fighter has a style that they prefer and it is unique , thats what makes boxing or every other sport so interesting

  • @Exterminaitor13 that would be ok with some fighters but not Jones i mean come on man he basically took a dive against glen johnson and Tyson vs Lewis both men were guilty of fighting on for money testing themselves never came into it

  • @MrConnolly25 yes that may be a reason but can u jugde them guilty? i mean even if u were a boxer and didn't have any money would u rather give it a shot or starve ? i personaly would try to win

  • @Exterminaitor13 Tyson and Jones earned Millions if they were not clever enough to look after it why would you give it them all over again when 2nd time around neither were actually good enough to earn it?Its a big problem that boxers have they get loads of money and blow it then carry on fighting but you have to see the big picture how good is it for their health?Lennox Lewis earned a tonne of money he is a perfect role model for upcoming boxers he aint broke he got out at the right time

  • Gtf out of here calzaghe wouldn't come even close to Roy in his prime. Yall must have forgot

  • @wamampela YOU must have forgot that RJJ was a drugs cheat, and that Calzaghe fought

for years with ruined hands. A prime RJJ against a prime Calzaghe (when he still had his knockout punch) would have been one of the best fights in history

  • Roy jones was so gifted and dominant in his prime he played basketball games before a 12 round boxing title fight. No one could touch him in his prime. No One!!

  • put calzaghe with maywheather jr, lool :)) and see how it goes u smart ass, roy jones was and it will forever best pound for pound, so shut the fuck up with your calzaghe bitch

  • calzaghe the man with a zillion crappy happy slap punches. guaranteed to stop any fighter throwing a solid punch at him. great tactic but not great boxing.

  • @takewhole His hands are fucked he shoulda stoped fighting 10years ago... theres a reason he palm slaped alot with his combos.

  • there really is no glory in beating a legend who has all ready made his name in the boxing world..........

there is a great difference in some who fights for glory and some one who does it just because they love it

    remember that.

Peace and much love to ya

  • GREAT BOXER.WORST THAN SOULJA BOY AT RAPPIN.BUT THATS OK

  • You must of forgot Montell Griffin,

THE greatest boxer of all time

    Period

  • @occultseeker who got knocked out by roy jones in round 1

  • Roy Jones is an all time great, but he didn't want to fight 2 people, Nigel Benn & Gerald McClellan

  • joe calzaghe 44 wins 0 losses. That says it all and you can't argue with that

  • @TheFredster911 Sven Ottke. Need I say more.

  • calzaghe best p4p ever shut the fuck up because joe was better in his prime too and would of demolished roy jones you forget how fast calzaghe is and he was faster you cant compeate with him give up wishing roy lost just because calzaghe was late going to hbo so not that manny people had heard of him doesent meen he wasnt as good as roy end of .

  • @karllovesbfmv are you fucking serious? Roy Jones is without a doubt in the top 5 greatest ever.

  • How many people talk about Calzaghe now he's retired? lol

  • roy got robbed. how many times did he hit the canvas?

  • why do so many bad vids get this maye wiews?

  • oh 2:04. ya know kinda like 'scoreboard'

  • ya I forgot. and my name is Ya'll.

  • roy jones should stick to crossdressing

  • or a person in general has made up in their mind to accomplish something. That alone is very difficult to beat. It's not about speed, power, who's the scariest. The mind dictates. Not to mention, Joe has an excellent work ethic as well.

  • I've been a die hard Roy Jones fan since he got cheated out of the Gold Medal in the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Korea. After boxing myself for a few years and being around the mind of fighters the one thing I've learned is the will to win. Joe is not a intimidating figure, not flashy, not a strong puncher either. He won because he made up in his mind that he would not let Roy's hand speed or flashy style intimidate him. It's that simple. Just like with Floyd Mayweather. When a fighter.........

  • calazaghe wanted the fight when roy was 1st at lightheavy, but roy was busy fighting part time cops. if roy had retired after beating ruiz he would of gone down as the best ever, but he did take roids.

  • a prime Roy Jones would have destroyed a prime Calzaghe.. thumbs up if you agree?

  • @MrOwned0001 would have been the same story.. joe would beat roy.. roy was great no doubt!!!!. he wasnt no joe c.. i know joe 48 wins no loss.. hes white.. so people say. it aint right.. evn bernard hopkins said ill never lose to a white boy!!. as he aint no liar or rapist.. youknow he came to fight.. an he beat roy.. cmon, dude!!!

  • @MrOwned0001. Losing hurts, sometimes you've just got to accept that, or you'll embaress yourself.

  • YOU SAW HOW ROUND ONE WENT??? THATS HOW EVERY ROUND WOULD GO AGAINST HIM HAD JONES BEEN ON HIS PRIME. COMMON PRIME JONES CHEW UP CALZAGHE.

  • Joe Calzaghe sucs

    Roy Jones Jr the BEST

  • @DS496081 who won that fight?

  • @dinkydodgem93 Roy Jones Jr win

  • @DS496081 i think you'll find calzaghe won that won...hahaha

  • "And when Antonio Tarver knocked my ass out with one punch in the second round, I must have forGOT....forGOT....forGOT....forGOT!:

  • Joe Calzaghe was 36 Roy Jones £39 in this fight big age difference?? Neither wre in their prime in their Prime Joe still threww to many punches for Roy to deal with foot work and skill is always over looked about Joe. Undefeated un knocked out !

  • roy jones was 137 years old in this fight

  • CALZAGHE = LEGEND!!

  • calzaghe = throw a million punches and hopefully clog up the other guy. Following which you should win on points. Calzaghe a good fighter but not a great fighter. Will be quickly forgotten. Pisses me off with his six million punch combos that wouldn't knock a mouse out.

  • En su prime JAMAS calzaghe le hubiera ganado a JONES JR.

    GRANDE ROY JONES JR.

  • fuck you!!! False advertising!

  • how is it that in the "suggestions" panel, this video is titled Roy Jones Jr With Mike Tyson, but when you open the video....that is complete bullshit? lame.....I hate false advertising.

  • @xquisitaz Same no1 gives a fuck about joe.

  • how is it that in the "suggestions" panel, this video is titled Roy Jones Jr With Mike Tyson, but when you open the video....that is complete bullshit? lame.....

  • now that we have decent drug testing all the american sports men and women cant win jack - no coincidence me thinks

  • These guys say blind jr fans joe calzaghe beat jones jr cool but jones in his prime would be a joke 3rd round knock out cuz its like ali said you cant hit what youn cant catch roy jones fought middleweights they couldnt catch him he fought better fighters of the 90s back when boxing didnt suck and the only dude that hit him often was hector macho comacho

  • you must of forgot how to spell the word of

  • Calzaghe fought these guy when they were past their prime.

  • who won?

  • Prime Roy Jones is the greatest boxer of all times, nothing lasts forever.

  • @TheGameFather101 he fucking sucks roids jones jr , is a fucking cheater

  • @TheGameFather101 you have got to be joking! Carlos Monzon and or Marvin Hagler would have knocked his weak ass glass chin off.

  • Joe was passed his prime too everyone forgets that. His chin, punching power and stamina were better in the early noughties than it was by this point. The only element of his game which was better by this stage was his experience to adapt to changing situations and he wasn't as reckless. Joe prime Vs Jones prime would still have been a hell of a fight despite what the blind Jnr fans will say.

  • @GoldenUx Also I think Calzaghe started slapping a bit because his hands were fucked keep breaking ur hands and ur looking at deformed hands, once or twice is ok but not as many times as Joe broke his. Also he didn't duck RJJ earlier in his career what he said was that he would want a big pay day or why risk it? Basically what RJJ thought of Benn even tho RJJ would have most likely won the fight.

  • i woke up when i saw calzaghe beat every man he man he fought.jones past his best???just look at hopkins now!!!jones didnt lose his boxing brain, age alone wont ruin a fighter.who won???calzaghe was past past his best 2.excuses r like arseholes, everybodys got one.the best man won,end of.

  • joe is a slapper nothing more, Jones was past his prime at least 8-10 years at the time they fought.. wake up idiots...

  • Calzaghe fought bums in Europe He get's no love in America!

  • ROY YOU ARE THE CHAMP!!!

  • This is best with the sound OFF,

  • How you can upload this even thinking it was a half decent match,Roy J Jnr was past it he wanted Calzaghe for ages but would he fight him NO he was scared to but when he thouhgt roy was about done then he wanted to fight Calzaghe is good but come on this was not a fight

  • @TheSwiftBMF Collins called out Jones all of his career, Jones never took the fight!

  • @javonoUTube Ye but I saw an interview with RJJ just after he lost his 1st fight and he said that he would fight Collins tomorrow and Collins turned around and said that unfortunately Roy doesn't have a title any more. Then they played an earlier interview with Collins where he said that that it was about fighting the big names not titles. Also he turned down Calzaghe originally saying he wasn't well known enough and where was he when Benn and Eubank were in their primes?

  • @Jimmynable Benn I can understand you mentioning him although I think Benn/Jones was talked about before Benn lost his will to fight after the McClellan tragedy. But Eubank was an absolute bum who only fought Benn & Watson. He fought nobodies thru out his career. He never fought outside of europe & despite what you euoropeans say, the money & the recognition was in the States during those years. That's why Calzaghe & Eubanks gets no love cuz they ducked top competition most of their career.

  • @MackDaddyCoolC I see what u mean. Another thing to consider tho is that no one in America could give a shit about the WBO title back then I think it's a little bit different now. I was actually on about Collins not Jones but good points anyway.

  • @Jimmynable My fault. I thought you was talking about Calzaghe. I actually liked Collins before he did like you said & back tracked about fighting big names instead of titles. I also thought Roy should have fought him during thier prime. At 1 point, Collins was the only real fight out there for Roy. Collins caught Benn when Benn was gone mentally & he out-psyched Eubank big time. But as far as Calzaghe goes, he only did to Calzaghe what Joe did to Froch years later. He ducked him!!

  • @MackDaddyCoolC Ye and 2 Collin's credit he did eventually agree to fight Calzaghe but it ended up he had to retire due to health problems. I have little sympathy for Froch, I think he talked himself out of a fight with Calzaghe just by his annoying pestering he started to sound like he was obsessed with him. A little of the subject but what did u make of Benn vs Eubank 2? I thought Benn really did enough to win, Eubank got lucky with the judges a lot.

  • @Jimmynable I thought Benn did just enough to get by with the win. I think British Boxing was trying to protect Eubank undefeated record at the time. Much like Calzaghe & his management, that undefeated record means everything to certain boxers. Rather than fight & earn respect in losing to the best, Eubank, Calzaghe, & Naseem Hamed fought so many tomato cans & no-hopers that many boxing fans don't like or rated them. Fighting faded legends to pad their records became Calzaghe & Hamed priority.

  • @MackDaddyCoolC Ye that seems to happen quite a lot with Frank Warren's boxers, it will be interesting to see how Khan's career goes now hes not with Warren any more.

  • What a gay tacky song.

  • fool uploader noob

  • Roy was my favorite fighter. I really miss the show he would put on like dong the chicken, putting his hands behind his back and knocking the guy out, the ali shuffle doing the jamaican butterfly dance and then knocking the guy out and so much more. As far as pure overall entertainment to the casual fan like me he is right there with Ali. Please though I hope he stop fighting!

  • in his prime Roy was faster as Joe !

Roy is one of the Greatest !

  • Just to help clarify the difference between a great fighter and a great boxer.

Great fighters: Tyson,Roy Jones,David Tua,Arturo Gatti, Wilfredo Gomez, and Julian Jackson to name a few. Great Boxers: Thomas Hearns,Ali, Sugar Ray leonard,Pernell Whittaker,Zab Judah,Ricardo Lopez,Salvador Sanchez, Hector Camacho to name a few. I hope that clarifies it somewhat; of course it is possible to win a world title without being a good boxer as there are many other factors that play into it. Cheers!

  • Props to Calzaghe he is a great fighter. Truth is that Roy was way past his prime, sort of like Ali-Homes, Marciano-Lewis,Ali-Spinks. I give respect, but those things have to be considered.

  • joe = undesputed fact :)

  • @edirpevitan no body knows who would of won. were are you from o yes canada the sporting center of the wold

  • Whats with all the prime talk about jr.All of you act like he was a washed up fighter insted of what the truth was.Jr picked and chose everybody he fought. One was a NYC cop, another was a Chicgo firefighter.Jones=punk fighter

  • @profsat5 James Toney was 44-0 when jones beat him, Hopkins was undefeated when Jones beat him. Both hall of famers in their primes, that is enough right there. He also beat Virgill Hill, destroyed vinnie Paz, and a host of others. To act like he did not fight anybody belies the truth.

  • @examinfo RJ just an athletic country bumpkin. He was never a great fighter. Just about every one of his opponents was a mediocre fighter. He was fast, so this allowed him to take liberties, walk around with his hands down, and outbox his opponents. It was only a matter of time before someone like Tarver exposed this chicken fighter. His ring entrances with the rap music were a celebration of ignorance. Patheitc seeing him now. He has always been an embarrassment to a noble sport.

  • @profsat5 Let me correct your statement somewhat (please don`t take offense). Jones WAS a great fighter. He was never a great Boxer. He was a pure athletic specimen who relied on great speed and reflexes. Of course age takes these things first, and eventually the lack of fundamentals caught up to him. This is why Hopkins and Toney still linger, because they have sound boxing fundamentals With that said; Jones must be given credit for defeating two hall of famers in their prime.

  • @examinfo Jones should have quit along time ago,he is showing signs of "punch-drunk syndrome".His last fight Denis Lebedev tee off a crushing right on Jones since the ref would not stop the fight.I don't want anybody to have brain damage but Jones is having trouble speaking and walking. He should retire if he recovers a little bit.Since you like him so much you should write him and tell him to stop because if he is stupid, and he is,he will get back in the ring, and BOOM permanent brain damage.

  • @examinfo Jones should have quit along time ago,he is showing signs of "punch-drunk syndrome".His last fight a few months back the guy,Denis Lebedev tee off a crushing right on Jones since the ref would not stop the fight.I don't want anybody to have brain damage but Jones is having trouble speaking and walking. He should retire if he recovers a little bit.I dont hate Jones but "Brain Damage"is not the way I want to remember him.

  • Maybe Calzaghe won, but if Roy Jones was in his prime it would be some other story... U all need 2 admire Roy Jones.. man he was holding fucking 7 belts in his prime, wasn't defeted in 15 years.. show some respect.. Calzage in his prime couldn't beat Roy Jones... ROY JONES <3

  • fuck u only all say prime jones prime shit Calzaghe was old to

  • what did we forget ??????? that Calzaghe beat down that nigaz ass ?

  • good fight though calzaghe is good but i dont think that he could have done that when roy was in his prime

    just my thoughts

  • Joe calzaghe wasn't in his prime either, don't know why people have to be such bitches. Roy lost on the night, get over it. Maybe he would have won in his prime maybe he wouldn't, Joe went 46-0 he was a great boxer, so was Roy, but Roy lost that night. Whatever! no one realy gives a shit what the haters say, well done Joe fuck the whining bitches, you beat Roy fair and square and that cheating punk hopkins! You beat younger upcomers, older veterans and all the legends they could throw at you!

  • @pennthebaker

You're wrong. Calzaghe came into his prime later in his career than most boxers. The Jeff Lacy fight did wonders for him.

And saying Calzaghe "wasn't in his prime either" when you're comparing him to Roy Jones is madness. Jones had been knocked out multiple times, badly, and really shouldn't have even been in the ring with a world class fighter at that point.

  • @kero64 Well luckily we all have our opinions. Next!

  • @pennthebaker

Wow... That's a really thoughtful riposte.

With hindsight, I don't know why I thought anybody on a fucking Youtube comments page would have anything to offer in the way of intelligent conversation about the sport.

  • @kero64 Because you're clearly one of those people who've already made their minds up that roy's the best except when calzaghe fought him and as such he shouldn't get any recognition for it. Brilliant. I've heard it all before and guess what it's getting boring. I've tried to talk to others properly on this subject but they just keep repeating the same thing. Why would you have been any different.

  • HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NO

  • fuck ur slideshow

  • He proved nothing with defeating Roy Jones Jr. A fighter is measured and remembered for the fights he won against great opponents in their prime. Not fights he won against legends way over their prime. Is Trevor Berbick a great champion for beating Muhammad Ali???

  • if jones was in his prime he may have beat a soon to retire ageing calzaghe. wheres the point in that? they were both near the same age and at the same point in thier career. being American gave jones all the chances in the world and he achieved a lot. mainly because they're all to scared to get over to europe and britain to fight real men. not fairy tale yanks.

the question is who would win if they were to fight when both were in they're prime? i'd certainly go for joe

  • yea he must have forgot that bloody eye. what a stupid song.

  • 2 legends. calzaghe the best super middleweight of all time easily. 46 wins in 46 fights. 21 world title defences. beat 11 world champions. fought 60% of his fights outside wales. couldnt get famous because the english dont like the welsh much and their sports stars tend to get ignored. so guys like frank bruno or hatton earn 10 times the money calzaghe earns, its just the way it is. business is why calzaghe couldnt get to america sooner. he loves america always wanted to get there sooner

  • At the end of the day, one can hypothesise all they want.

    46-0.

    Speaks for itself.

  • Roy Jones is the best !!!

  • Respect to what jones did in history but a wins a win and a loss is a loss. If you're washed up - dont fight. The winner is the one who knows when to step out the game when his fight game is done. A loss is a loss. Facts don't lie!

  • Calzaghe beat a past his prime Roy. Prime Roy would destroy Calzaghe witinh 6 rounds.

  • @donshery I have to agree. I loved watching Joe fight and win, but if he'd fought RJ jr in RJ jrs prime, Joe would have lost.

  • Yeah because beating a shot Roy Jones makes him a real champion HAHA

  • @BPnBAGofCHEETOS Not to mention all the european frauds he fought to pad his record of title defenses and get a gift against Hopkins. Kinda funny how when he had his 20 defenses somebody IN THE SAME DIVISION also had 20 defenses in Svette. So know there was mad pussy shit going on right thurr!

  • fucking trash ghetto vid....you fuckers forget that calzaghe was 37 when he fought jones and way past his best...jones never fancied leaving home to fight....at least calzaghe did...jones is just a sad washed up journeyman now..even in his prime he fought fighters not fit to lace calzaghes gloves...fact! get over it.

  • SUCK MY DICK the true champion was ROY !!!

  • people cant accept a white man was so good,he was undefeated n beat everyone, nuff said.a prime jones was better than joe though

  • @HENRYHOBBS1 yeah but the 2 biggest fights of his career both guys was over 40 jones was also undefeated for over 10 yrs hes old and its time for roy to retired shoulda done it long ago i didnt get to watch ali in his prime but roy jones is the best boxer i ever saw fight in his prime

  • @rayve330 i said a prime jones was better??! a old joe beat a prime kessler who`s the best in the world now, shows how good joe was

  • @HENRYHOBBS1 You say that yet joe kicked his ass, hes an undefeated champion of the world and you know why ? Because hes Welsh!!!! Yea baby!!!

  • @HENRYHOBBS1 he beat them when they were past there primes

  • @kingzula he beat alot of these big stars when he was past his prime also

  • @HENRYHOBBS1 who??

  • @kingzula he was 36 when he beat b hop n jones n getting on when he beat kessler,3 of the best in the world

  • @HENRYHOBBS1 jones was 40yrs old when they fought and had been ko'd twice and lost most of his ability be hop was way past his prime also but i admit he was not shot but still a younger b hop beats him. kessler was a good win but he's not one of the top 3. he was good but i dont think he's an all time great.

  • Joe C most notalbe win was over the build dude who name slips me that had poor head movement from florida and was undefeated...but Jones been done...Joe did not beat B hop at best was a draw...Joe, you are overated! You made your name in Europe...stayed away from the best fights on the main land...

  • jones is getting knocked out by cab drivers in europe..he was a bum

  • Forgot what? I remember Roy Jones getting his arse handed to him this fight, it was man against boy. Roy Jones took one hell of a beating and remember Calzaghe was 36 and past his best when he fought Roy Jones and Hopkins.

46-0. He beat Roy Jones, Kessler, Hopkins and Lacy.

  • In regard to Jones & Hopkins, Calzaghe reported a pretty laughable, "fear of flying" as one reason he wouldn't fight them. I remember thinking at the time how absurd that was, but it reached new levels of ridiculous when he went to the States to fight a well past-it Hopkins, & the corpse of Jones.

  • I must have forgot how bad music can be because the song here truly sucks.

  • Clazaghe - 46 - 0 record but no rep whatsioever due to ducking every fighter possible in his career, right up to the end when he ducked FRoch.

Hatton - Lost two fights quite brutally but his name will ne remembered long after Calzaghe's.

Unbeaten records aren't what they used to be.

  • @1878EFC2008 Accept GREATNESS and don't be such a sore loser.

  • @s13hgp How is he greatness when he fought a guy off a tv show that didnt even win it?? He was gonna pull out of the lacey fight, like many others he did until Warren stopped him. The guy only fought Kessler end of.

  • @TheVerdictIs Greatness is to remain undefeated! 46 fights 46 wins 32 by KO. Any boxing fan will accept the greatness of that record. To say he fought to many 'bums' is disrespectful to those boxers he beat and shows a total lack of understanding of the sport.

  • @s13hgp I never called them bums. if your just going on Undefeated records, that's a total lack of knowledge. Sven Ottke was a German fighter in the same weight division as Calzaghe and around at the same time. He retired at 36-0. So by your reckoning we gotta call him greatness as well. Its easy to hand pick fighters, guide your way to the top and never fight anyone, until the legends are well past it. Who holds the same belt for 10 years and never challenges for a unification fight?

  • @TheVerdictIs; WBO, WBC,WBA, IBF, Super Middle Weight Champion. The Ring Light Heavyweight Title. Your obsessional hatred of Joe shows a somewhat troubled mind I fear.

  • @s13hgp SMW champ is undeniable..but do you judge a fighter's achievements by alphabet belts or who he fought and when?

  • @badintentions2 : His record simply speaks for itself, I agree though that fighters themselves should not pick their opponents. However that is the way boxing is today. To add to Joe's credit, he picked himself up off the floor in both his light heavyweight bouts and dominated the fights there after.

  • @s13hgp ...against 2 faded champs with a combined age of 84 who he should have fought in their primes. unfortunately his record does speak for itself. joe was a very good fighter who never beat a proven world class fighter in his prime... look, i agree with you to a point..this is the way some fighters choose to use their careers, which is all the more reason why 'who they fought and when' should be the only way to look at a fighter's achievements. joe's 'unbeaten record' is a hollow one

  • Comment removed

  • Don't wanna take anything away from Calzaghe but this wasn't the Jones I remember, this was a Jones past his best and Bernard Hopkins was past his best when Calzaghe fought him too. We'll never know who would have won those fights but for me Jones Jr was the man

  • No one needs to talk down on either fighter, both were great fighters, and though Jones was past his better days, he was still a good fighter when he fought Calzaghe, while Joe Calzaghe was still or at least close to his best.

In my opinion, Joe Calzaghe was a better Super Middleweight than Roy Jones Jr., defended more, more longevity. But Roy Jones Jr. was the greater fighter overall through accomplishments.

  • Calzahge got out of the fight game with his face ,mind and brains intact - undefeated and feted across the globe as a true great - RJJ is an ATG who by the evidence of last night wont get out of boxing till he's a dribbling wreck who needs to wear diapers due to dementia - beyond sad, its a fuckin tragedy whats happening to Roy - a true genious of the ring reduced to a punching bag stiff for C class eastern bloc journeymen.

Roy Jones Jnr - all time great .

  • stop talking shit all u fools, jones in his prime blah blah,he wasnt in his prime he took the fight and got smashed, deal with it,i looved jones in 90's,he was good, wasnt great was good thats it,all u pussies need recognise a champ undefeated, how many boxers are that,u pussies haters.im not even joes fan i just respect the record,an those saying hes slaps then why dont u try one of his slaps and see if u ever wake up u fags. truth of it is jones wasnt at his prime, neither was joe so stop crap

  • @IIxMARVELxII How can you respect a career that in 46 fights he only took 2 prime fights? Lacey and Kesler?? that's not a great career in the scheme of boxing. Look at Sven Ottke, also around in Joe's time at same weight, never fought out of Germany, pretty much like Joe until his last 2 fights and retired with a 36-0 career but never fought anyone. The fights define your career, not your record.

  • @TheVerdictIs Eubank?? Accept GREATNESS and don't be such a sore loser.

  • In his prime Calzaghe will have been spanked big time by Jones. Calzaghe slaps with his punches while Jones has badass intentions.

  • @speedmaster001 I'm with you, i the Jones of old would have finished . Calzaghe off after he had him down

  • @BOXINGFANFAN Welcome everyone to planet BoxingFanFan the guy who scores the Calzaghe - Hopkins fight 11 rounds to 1, 118- 109 Calzaghe 11 rounds, Hopkins 1 round, Hopkins round win 10 - 8 LMFAO.. How can anyone take anything you say, any future boxing comment serious now when you spout bullshit like this on here ?

  • @BOXINGFANFAN Welcome everyone to planet BoxingFanFan the guy who scores the Calzaghe - Hopkins fight 11 rounds to 1, 118- 109 Calzaghe 11 rounds, Hopkins 1 round, Hopkins round win 10 - 8 LMFAO.. How can anyone take anything you say, any future boxing comment serious now when you spout bullshit like this on here ?

  • @TheMillford Jones Jr would have destroyed Calzaghe at anytime of his career, any boxing fan knows this, but in all fairness to Calzaghe you are wrong about him wanted to fight Jones when he was washed up, Calzaghe wanted to fight Jones when he was at his best but Jones coaches or whoever sets up the fights for them wouldnt do it, but Jones is my favorite fighter he would have walked through Calzaghe im not starting an arguement just making a point that Calzaghe did want the fight earlier

  • @steb1888smith where is the proof that Calzaghe wanted Hopkins or Jones earlier than when he fought them. There is none. Calzaghe pulled out of 3 fights with Glengoffe Johnson citing injuries when he recovered he didn't fight Johnson he fought Mario Veit again a fighter who he had already beaten years before. proving nothing by beating him.

  • IN THIS FIGHT I WISH I FORGOT!!!!!

  • mayweather could take out joe

  • Calzaghe was OK i give him more credit than I have given him before but Roy wasnt the same in this fight. Roy was washed.
