This is a big place for a single person. Do you know if foreign Christians are allowed to bring their Bibles and Christian books into the country? Can they talk about God or are they forbidden?
I don't know what your business in China would be other than as a missionary, but, no, the authorities would not look kindly on a Christian missionary. Religion, formally, is taboo in China, and it is an issue best avoided unless brought up by a local, for there is so much more to talk about and see and experience while there.
@shelphs No I`m not a missionary just a Christian so Christianity is a way of life for me. It`s what I think about & like to talk about, sort of like a race car driver likes to think and talk about cars. Of course, he can think & talk about other things but it`s just what he likes. Anyway, my trip did not work out so I guess it was all for the best!
@shelphs By the way, I think it would be a pretty sorry missionary to have to ask YT if it was ok to bring in Bibles, talk about God, & be concerned about it. Missionaries like soldiers have missions to perform so fear can`t be a part of their mission if they`re a real missionary at heart.
@shayminaaaa well, nobody really cares what u bring, as long as it's legal. and bible sure u can, there are several million chinese chritian, and u can find 1 in every book store. atheism is the main stream there but ppl always repect all religions (except cults..).
@The391956 well, it's been a year so assume that you alrdy got the answers but 4 any1 who also wonder.
1.livin in China is probably alot easier than in other other countries, u get anythin u want for a really low price(only if u kno where to look for em)
2. the summer time is always HOT.easily go over 100 in most places.
3. $600/mon? sure. most chinese got a salary lower than that, and they live just as ha ppy.
the infrastructures r rather gud there, normally several hospitals in each city.
i miss Jinan. even more now when found myself in a coplete shithole called Tongxiang, he he. so how are things in Jinan now? is Jinzita still a good place to hook up and have a couple of drinks? ;)
you miss jinan? you can't miss the air in jinan - can you? where is tongxiang?
as for if jinzita is still a good place for drinks, i wouldn't know. is that a bar? i don't do the bar scene. there's a new japanese place that's fantastic though on shanda lu near shanda bei lu.

well, definitely not the air... it still stinks? )))
Jinzita (Pyramide) is a bar...well, was a bar. If you know foreigners in Jinan who stuck in the place for more than 3 years, they might know. Shanshidonglu, right opposite to Shanshida, where I used to study.
Tongxiang is in Zhejiang. You better not know the details, haha
ah. yes, Pyramide. i'm familiar with the English name. i have actually been there - once. i was invited by some ex-students of mine. it was alright. had far too much to drink. i was the guest and the name of the game that night was "get BLANK drunk."
i now live near jingshi lu and about a fifteen minute walk from the stadium, and though Pyramide still exists, i don't go there.
