@ReverendSyn Tosh...Cause Nova doesn't help or stay on you're ship that long, ghost are pretty equal to Spectures, but i went for Tosh...sure he's mysterious but he eventually turns out a cool guy to talk to after every mission you go on, plus the Doc lady tells you Spectures arn't that crazy killers like from what Nova said...was false information from Mengs. So yeah Nova was trying to take the opertunity away from you.

specters are more brutal than ghosts and they do more damage to units and armor... so they're better taking down elites... they also have a stun field that can help delay things like a zerg rush while reinforcements come in and start blowing the things away....

Ghost are more of the traditional sniper and they have an EMP... also they can be used in multiplayer so.... you can get more practice with them...

If you choose Nova you can build ghosts. If you choose Tosh you can build spectres.

@BlingBlang609 Choosing Tosh is the official story line. Tosh and the Spectres help you with different (and better) abilities in the campaign, and also join the Raiders in the fight to overthrow Mengsk (will be significant in the expansions).
