I was wondering if you could do a show on how to make your own little black dress or reuse an old one and touch it up. I've been trying to find the perfect little black dress, but I got nothing. Maybe making one would be a better idea.
I think you should make some note that saying "vintage" when showing feistaware is a bad thing. Some of the vintage circa 1980 feistaware contained lead.
Thanks so much for noticing and appreciating that, mutantpotatoe. That was on the roof of our building, you can see the Williamsburg Bridge from there.
My Grandmarosa would love this she does this kinda crafting all the time!

So cool, Meg. Brooklyn looks so rad and your place mat color choices are PERFECT!

Awesome! I LOVE the mixed match colors and set of these place mats. Cool episode.

Great colors.

Don't you clip the fabric almost to the sewn seams before turning the placemat? It makes the seams lie flatter when you turn the placemat.

i think that fabric is knit? if u iron it itll get flat
reika59 3 years ago 2
If its a knit fabric it will get a little wavy when you add top stitches.
SaviRaine 3 years ago 4
I ironed them after, and they flattened right out. Sorry I didn't grab a shot of that in time for the episode.

nemo379 3 years ago
My friend makes her own potholders just with towels and fabric, its pretty easy to just figure out yourself.
SaviRaine 3 years ago

theyre pretty cute :)

Those mats are very ripply. You should probably press them before the top stitching.

I'm more of a table cloth girl but those were super cute place mats. I like the quick tip too, I recently started collecting pitchers.
