Install smf 2.0

i dont get it i did the same from step 2 the database thing

and i got a critical error

Message:

Critical Error!

Cannot connect to the database server with the supplied data.

If you are not sure about what to type in, please contact your host.

Access denied for user 'Something' (using password: NO)

where is says 'something' it didnt really say something i changed it

please help

okay but what i dont get is what do i do when i download the SMF file because when i do it downloads but in like seperate files like one for avatarsanother for smilies and etc,

@champion0052 - put all of the folders and files as they are when you downloaded them (but extracted) onto your site where ever you want them

@champion0052 - put in the website address, if that doesnt work then put index(.)php on the end and if that dont work put install(.)php on the end

I recommend SMF 2.0RC3. It's really stable. Plus, everything looks so much nicer. ;)
