Thanks for these tutorials. They are so helpful. I feel like all they other tutorials are either too basic or too advanced to be useful. The basic stuff is basically in the manual. And the advanced stuff is way over my head to comprehend. But I feel like you cover the intermediate stuff that will help noobs like me bridge that gap and become better players.

You can wavedash by holding a turbo button that's set up with HP + MP . And you go really fast. That's how ugly this game is

Dude I wish I would have know about this video months ago when vanilla came out, my friends wouldn't tell me how to play (never had mvc2) and they would just zone me to rack up wins so I dropped it out of frustration. get an arcade stick. learn a basic combo. go to youtube, search for "morrigan bread and butter" watch the video and copy. almost all characters will do a 4 hit, L, M, H Launcher, jump, M, M, H, S... hit the ground. then do a super. and yes. do the dam missions, they are key!

@SuperKing201 Nah, imo. Both stick and pad are very good. You just gotta play with you're used too and get good at it. Look at Fanatiq, for example. (Very good pad player)

@AntiSass No, with an arcade stick you have to press 2 attack buttons to dash unless you assign one button to dash in button config. then you would only press one.

@DarkesstNight Well the TE is a little bigger and uses higher quality parts (sanwa buttons and stick) that's the biggest difference between them other than their price.

y know ? the street fighter 4 edition? I have my right shoulder button on L+M+H its an xbox 360 pad and I use that to dash and my left shoulder button to charge zero's buster shot...Its maybe cause Im doing a dragon punch motion... instead of tapping down after the dash? but how is the timing of wavedash is it strict?

@thirdartist22 It's not strict at all and doing the dragon punch motion is probably the reason you're getting supers. It's simply canceling a dash by pressing down.

@thirdartist22 I use a fight pad too, I have my RT (I'm on 360, so basically the bottom shoulder button on the front of your pad.) set as L+M+H. All you do is press that button then down, you don't have to press forward because if you press that button you automatically dash forward then you press down to cancel out of the dash, otherwise it recognises it as a DP motion.

So for me to WD twice it'd be...

RT (L+M+H) -> Down -> RT(L+M+H) -> Down.

Now I can work on wavedash - curious though; w/d seems like an aggressive thing for the 'low level player' to grasp; at least intuitive, functional use of it - why package it with simple A B C E B B C E combo? Just a random thought.

@JediJustinW well i made this vid shortly after the game came out so the combo was just for those who hadnt grasped the basics of how air combos worked yet and i dont think wavedashing is very hard to incorporate into your game so i figured those would be two easy starting points for those who didnt know the more advanced combos in the game.

bro, how abt triangle jump? the short jump for overhead. I used to the old KOF style of triangle jump which is b,d/b,d,b/f,f,f/up to dash and short hop. But in here, its high jump
