@fahad181992 You are all wrong. The original idea for GoW 3 was completely different then the final game. Kratos kills Zeus in the beginning of the game. It's the beginning of the war for the throne of the king of the gods. Not just between greek gods but also nordic and egyptian gods. People are loosing faith so the gods die. In the end Kratos dies too. The last scene is an old man following the polar star.It's a symbol that the man always needs something to believe in.

well if you take into the equation that there are different dimensions then if kratos would have drawn from the evils in the box nothing in the other games would take place and cronos would die in the dessert like in this video while the dimension the sequels follow kratos draws Hope from the box :P

For those of you who are confused about this, just let me clear it up. This video was a unlock-able for the original God of War back in 2005. This was just a plot idea, and is inaccurate to the current plot line. The creators did not know they were going to have Kratos kill Cronos in GOW3. So basically, don't take this video seriously, it was made 5 years ago and was just a wild idea the creators had after finishing God of War.

Another thing to take into consideration is that in the first God of War Cronos is found in the desert of lost souls. But in the third GoW we find Cronos in Tatarus which is actually correct in Greek mythology. So don't take the accuracy of the story line serious people. I actually played through on Spartan mode to unlock this video, and I totally forgot about this. Kind of funny to see now.
But they explain in God of War 3 that Zeus put Cronos in Tartarus after the events of God of War 1, so I don't think the accuracy of the story is at fault here. Rather its just that this was the first game and they were throwing out random ideas for a sequel at the time, just in case it became a huge hit.

The hell it wasn't. This was a bonus from God of War 1 if you beat the game on God Mode (at least, I think it was God Mode). Nothing was changed between the God of War Collection and God of War 1 and 2 except that they're now in HD.

For those of you who are confused about this, just let me clear it up. This video was a unlock-able for the original God of War back in 2005. This was just a plot idea, and is inaccurate to the current plot line. The creators did not know they were going to have Kratos kill Cronos in GOW3. So basically, don't take this video seriously, it was made 5 years ago and was just a wild idea the creators had after finishing God of War.

@IngoBlaze no it didn't I guess that was just a coincidence. As far as I know the creators had no knowledge that Kratos would kill Cronos in God of War 3. That's why in the video it says he died 1000 years later.

@VincentsGames I'm confused at the end of GoW I, the cinematic shows that Kratos remained as god of war for a long time, even to this days (there are images of modern wars flashing through the video) but didn't kratos sacrificed himself in III?

@VincentsGames Well sometimes I've heard that in Greek myth, a few weeks on Olympus was equivalent to years on Earth, but I think that if hundreds or thousands of years passed in God of War, we wouldn't be looking at the same Ancient Greece in all the games.

@VincentsGames Im just replaying GoW3 for those not wanting to know this contains some spoilers so be warned.
After killing hades you go back to hephastus who explains he was locked down in the forge by zeus after Kratos opened pandoras box and became GoW before this he explains the hyperion gate next to him hasnt been used in centuries, based on that we can safely assume that that is how long Kratos was on the throne of the God of war

Another thing to take into consideration is that in the first God of War Cronos is found in the desert of lost souls. But in the third GoW we find Cronos in Tatarus which is actually correct in Greek mythology. So don't take the accuracy of the story line serious people. I actually played through on Spartan mode to unlock this video, and I totally forgot about this. Kind of funny to see now.

But they explain in God of War 3 that Zeus put Cronos in Tartarus after the events of God of War 1, so I don't think the accuracy of the story is at fault here. Rather its just that this was the first game and they were throwing out random ideas for a sequel at the time, just in case it became a huge hit.

The hell it wasn't. This was a bonus from God of War 1 if you beat the game on God Mode (at least, I think it was God Mode). Nothing was changed between the God of War Collection and God of War 1 and 2 except that they're now in HD.

this video says that when Pandora's box was recovered from the temple on Cronoc's back, It continued to wander the desert for another thousand years.
but:
in God of War 3, it's explained that when Pandora's box was recovered from the temple, Zeus punished Cronos and send him to Tartalus in the underworld. Where he was later killed by Kratos.
