actually this ignition system does not have points. it has an ignitor sensor built into the ignition coil and i know the air gap on the coil is correct. plus the type of backfire(actually more like a misfire) you get from a misadjusted point would be more obvious under load as you can see this engine runs fine just backfires when you back of the throttle(enriched idle adjustment). thank you for trying to help though! : )

i never really found out how fast it really is but acording to my calculations, at the engines maximum rpm this scooter should go a little over 40mph. i did not max it out in this video though.

ive made a deal just like this. briggs and stratton 6 horsepower, goped body, and bike forks and handle bars. that was my settup. but i did a lot of afro engineering on it so it didnt work too long. not enough money

well all the parts on this scooter came off of an electric scooter,2 mountain bikes and an office chair. the only things that i purchased were the clutch, rear sprocket, chain and the air filter. i welded together sections of my mountain bikes handlebar to fabricate the exhaust system. the exhaust tip which acts as a heat shield, came off the office chair. i made the rear fender out of a stainless steel piece which used to be my jeeps old rear bumper. thanx for the comment!

my friend Ryan and i wanted to build more serious scooters after this one however we don't work together anymore and neither of us have any spare time. this was the one and only thing we built together. our goal wasn't to build an amazing scooter but to build something that looked completely ridiculous looking but rideable at the same time. it kind of started out as a joke but after we finished it, it sort of grew on us. thanx for the comment!
