I used to live in christchurch - now in the U.K. This footage is like something you'd see in disasters overseas - so upsetting - hope there won't be anymore like it - such a pretty place and now so much destruction. Thanx for posting it.

I filmed the damage from the earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand. Army and Police everywhere. Raw rare original emergency footage! Earth quake at 4:35am on Friday morning, September the 4th 2010. The New Zealand Army has been called in to help the Christchurch Police close most of the central city area. It was a 7.1 magnitude earthquake.
