  • Aweessooommeeee! Ilove your art.......Love , love love Superman!... your a Superman...

  • Ah, I saw you do the wishing well piece a while back... Nice video :)

Do you still do this? And how often and where?

  • You are absolutley amazing. I'm 15 and for a regular teenager, life sucks all the time. However, you have taught me that no matter how hard I look, there is a bright side. Thank you for being you, nothing less, nothing more. Keep up the amazing work. God, or whoever you believe to be up there, has for sure given you a gift that has to be showcased to the world. Good luck with everything. Much love.

  • Amazing!

  • Great job, Dave. I don't know if you remember but you and I were drawing at a festival in Massey, Ontario a couple of years back. Well just wanna say I enjoyed your video! Keep up the good work.

  • i saw this guy in toronto!! and it was really coool :D

    and greattt choice of song!!

  • thats just like pwnage

  • all i can say is wow...

but i do have a question

about how long have you been doing this?

i just tried my first one at a school competition today and it didn't look half bad(nothing compared to these though)

  • Thanks a bunch, I started doing this about 18 years ago and have been doing it steadily for the last 12.

Thats awesome about the school competition, nice to see chalk art like this is starting to be recognized as a legitimate medium. Best of luck with yours ... little tip, use paper stomps for your basic rubbing in of the colors and save some finger skin from being destroyed.

  • wow

that is a lot of time and dedication. I envy you!

yeah i thought it was great. It was definately fun

    thank you very much

    i'll definately try that

  • wow your amazing!!!

  • u r amazing. i saw out in front of the eton center on thursday april sencond 2009. It was awesome, i wish i could have stayed longer to see what it would look like when it was finished

  • thanks a lot. you folks are always nice and i'm flattered every time. eventually i'll make a new video but i need to update my mac before it will use the new ilife....sigh.

  • Freakin amazing. The best I've ever seen. :]

  • The one of the girl drawing with chalk was my favorite. Starting at 2:39 you can see the shadow of the bike and the pole moving as the sun sets. It's pretty cool. He must have been working in that one for hours. Well, I'm sure that they ALL take hours.

  • Can this art be done with paint since the rain will eventually wash it away? "Thank God for the pictures! This is so awesome

  • yes it can be done with paint. you could also use certain things to make the chalk last for a long time as well.

  • thanks a bunch,,,i really appreciate that.

  • went downtown today and saw you drawing on the sidewalk.

    amazing stuff. good work.

  • you gvuys are awesome...thanks so much for the compliments. only 6-8 more weeks of this crap weather and its back to chalking.

  • wow! 2:28 & 4:00 are so trippy!! awesomeee!

  • great stuff, love to see a time lapse video from start to finish.

  • Wow Dave, you are the Master indeed... Your stuff is so freaking amazing... I miss seeing you in front of the eaton centre..

  • Superb !!!

  • This is me questioning the music selection

  • What is this song called?!?!

  • Wow that's amazing! I live in mississauga and I don't go downtown very often, but I'd like to know where this is if there still is, it would be great to see your art someday...tnx

  • You are truely talented. I saw some of your work like, a few years ago. I was amazed. keep up the good work.

  • Hey! do you remember me? i asked you on Wednesday how you did that. you replied to me "with 15 years of experience. I truly think your art is amazing. Everytime i go to eaton Center i see your work. its totally inspiring and i really appreciate you sharing your art. What kind of chalk do you use? it seems so smooth.

  • yes i do remember you...but i didnt think your name was 3mme3mme, unless thats a secret code for something which is totally cool, secret codes are awesome.

chalk i use....i mainly use prisma colour nu-pastel chalks....i use red, yellow and blue and just mix the colours i need from that.

and dont thank me for the sharing the art....you people supporting my art is what makes it possible so i thank you.

  • lol I dont think i told you my name... I was on the walk with like.. 3000 other people. Prismacolour...Maybe i could afford that in like what? 10 years? I saw your wishing well thing for your girlfriend? was it? I'm a fan!

  • dont wait for 10 years....omg, you could build a subdivision in less time. Or are you waiting for that, secretly waiting for a subdivision to be built so you can go draw with chalk there....hmmmm...interesting.

anyways, nupastels are a dollar each, sometimes they go on sale....i wonder if the subdivision will ever have a sale, perhaps a bake sale...if it did i would probably buy a low fat muffin.

i had a girlfreind list??? i didnt see anyone drop a girlfreind in wishing well.

  • lol subdivision? nono i think u had a wishingwell drawn for your girfriend and you

said that you would use the money to buy her a gift? lol i'm not really sure. but the spot u use on the sidewalk is really smooth right? orelse ur chalk must really wear away.

thanks for replying to my comments.

  • Dave, your work is like, more epic than the most epic thing in the universe, you have some serious talent ( and i thought i was a good drawer, ha) i just wish i had more money to give you :( i see you all the time, and each picture you do, it's simply magnificent, i really want to donate at least $50 to you every time i am near you, i just appreciate your work so much, you deserve thousands for your work if you ask me, keep up the damn good work, good sir!

  • dave, please please draw some cool stuff from games? from World of Warcraft :D

  • I love your work, but why did you have to set such a crappy music under it?

  • i just happen to like the song.

it seemed to fit my mood the day i was putting the pics all together.

next video i think will be a little more upbeat and fun.

thanks for the compliment on my work...i appreciate it.

  • Hm, maybe Radiohead or something would fit well with your slides. Anyway, it's your decission.

Btw, I just wondered if you ever get payed for doing this?

  • when im doing the street i work for tips. when its a corporate gig i get paid. festivals can be a combination of both deending on the size and sponsors.

it's a good living, and it's so much fun and has allowed me to see places in the world i never would have otherwise.

  • That's awesome that you can live from it! Well deserved! Where did you learned this anyway?

Me and all my questions. Anyway, if it ever happends that you come to Belgium, let me know! ;-)

  • Hey, ChalkMaster.

Random girl walking by on the 19th of April, that was me.

I need to know, that girl with the long black hair and the white dress...where did you see her/get the inspiration for her?

I have been dreaming of that same girl my whole life. My best friend has been searching for her.

-P.S. I wanted to give you a birthday card so you could check it off but I had no paper/money ;_;-

  • i found that image from a comic called "shi". its easy to find online if you do a google search of "shi the illustrated warrior". its a nice picture and the original artist did a fantastic job.

  • CHALKMASTERDAVE, Toronto is blessed to have the keeper of the sacred chalk bestow his smudging strokes on the runways of our concrete jungle. STARLINEPIX is a longtime admirer. You rock the chalk!
