this problem does not exist on the newer model Slash 4x4's does it? my cover seems to go all the way to the back. i still managed to get a piece of rock inside my spur/pinion gears however. it dislodged one of the pads on the slipper clutch. thankfully it was under warranty, so they repair it. just bought it less than 2 weeks ago.

i know this is kind of off topic, but how is the rear shock tower up front working for you? is it an upgrade in your opinion?

@indy34096 um i dont have the rear up front. its rpm body post mounts that might be throwing ya off

@GreenTuesday25 now when you say slop what do ya mean. does it slide back and forth mabie a 1/4 inch? if so thats normal. its made that way for chassie flex

Mkay yeah I knew about painting the inside and everything. But. For the overspray film does it already come on the body? You just cut. Spray. Then peel off the os film? Is it just like a peel off thing. (sorry for so many dumb questions)

Mkay thanks so if I did the same scheme as you, but uses black instead of silver wouldn't I have to mask blue first? Because black would not make the blue as great looking. 2 where do you get over spray film?

@TDpr0ducti0ns the over spray film is on the body. you dont spray the outside you spray the inside. and yes black paint first. darkest color first, lightest color last

@TDpr0ducti0ns masked off the areas i was gonna paint silver then painted blue pulled off masking tape and painted silver. over spray film is what covers the outside of the body thats keeps overspray of paint from getting on the outside and cut then paint

no not use a proline undertrays they do not work and they hold all the rocks in side the truck DO NOT USE!

I just bought the Slash 4x4 and im sick of rocks getting into the driveshaft! Do I have to take out the esc to remove the cover? If so, how do I remove the esc, just remove the two screws on the side? Thanks a lot!

@RE5niggajoedickballs No should have to remove the ESC. theres just a small screw at the front of the cover and one next to the ESC remove them and you should be able to pop the clear cover off. I never had the Stock ESC with mine so I dont know for sure if you have to remove it but im pretty sure you dont.

i just finished modding my drive shaft. I ended up using a piece out of pop bottle. cut to fit and slid under the original cover. fit in nicely and needed no glue. and looks near invivsible. :)

will see how well it holds up when i get it out again.

@weeweeinpants well I wrapped the driveshaft in Electrical tape, then once I had it to the right size( where it fills the hole in the chassie) I took alittle off cause you need to leave enought room for the heat shrink to go over it. then heat the heatshrink up. once thats all done you need to dremel the inside of the chassie where the driveshaft goes cause ther are 2 notches that well stop the driveshaft from spinning.

@STdemoniac sorry for taking so long to reply. for some reason I never saw this comment. The bumpers are RPM bumpers. I highly recommend them
