Seriously, you guys need to stfu about MLS being "bad" and a "crap league". The league was established in 1994 and is still a BABY in comparison to the major leagues in Europe. Its growing exponentially and its only a matter of time before the league can compare and/or be better than other top tier levels in Europe. I would like football to be popular in the US but their own sports are great. I love the NFL and Baseball ( much better than cricket)I think that there just isn't room for football. We should all remember that the US national team is pretty good. It would be great for international relations if the US was more involved in the World Cup etc, its a real good bonding method so I think we should all be enthusiastic about that idea.

Chelsea have always said in programme notes they dont want to try too hard in the pre season because then they will be too tired for the season. though the best player tht day was joe cannon the keeper. he did make some amazing saves but guys. if tht was a champions league match chelsea would have swept la off the floor

Because of that money, thats why you rarely see Mexicans playing in Europe, Mexican players get pay like if they were playing in Europe, and look at the Mexican league it is full of Argentines, Brazilians, and Latin Americans. The money might come for business but anyway money is money imagine if South America would of have money all of its players would be in their teams and what would of happend with the European teams without all of those players?

we dont have much support because soccer (or football, if you prefer) is still growing in this country. our league is only 13 years old, and the national team got into its 1st world cup in 40 years in 1990. in another 20 years, well have decent fan support. mls total average went up nearly 3,000 this year, so it's already on the move.

In england teams play friendlies so the manager can experiment with tactic or players and so players can warm up for the new season. Do you generally beleive that DC united would beat Chelsea in a competitive match.

I would like football to be popular in the US but their own sports are great. I love the NFL and Baseball ( much better than cricket)I think that there just isn't room for football. We should all remember that the US national team is pretty good. It would be great for international relations if the US was more involved in the World Cup etc, its a real good bonding method so I think we should all be enthusiastic about that idea.

It was a warm up game for Chelsea so they are trying out new players and formations etc. Also your linesman disallowed a really good well worked goal because he does not not know the off side rule!Might have to sort that out if US football wants to be taken seriously! Can't be offside if ball played back! Chelsea were playing on their lowest gear. Beckham has messed up his career up by going to the US, the US will never take to football, their own sports are too strong and established.

don't understand English footy fans. They make fun of Americans for using the word "soccer" even though it comes from the UK as an abbreviation of "association football." It's also used in Canada, South Africa, Ireland, Australia. Then they make fun of USA's footy league-which is trying very hard to popularize the sport-and its fans but also make fun of American sport lovers who don't yet know much about the beautiful game.
