@mazscsu: am not ignoring it. What all is told in Islam is 100 % error free. Today we feel that though this has music, its ok and rather helpful but allah knows best and Allah said not to use Music. Hence we should refrain from it, instead of this try listening Qari sadaqat ali, Qari Abdul basit. Quran is known for its eloquence, we dont need any music with it or as a substitute.

I don't speak Arabic but I understand a little bit. But my question is, are the subtitles correct? Because at a sertain point he sais: 'Ya rahamni ya Allah.' But isn't that the meaning of : Allah have mercy upon me?

And the singer sais in a lot of sintences Allah, but I can't match it with the subtitles. Can somebody help me with it?

@Zitoeenaa well the literal traslation for "irhamni ya allah" is Allah have mercy upon me.

see the subtitles are not the exact translation .. i think they tried to choose words that give the same idea, but not exactly what the guy is singing.

@leena190 the prophet (pbuh) said: be different from the jews & christians, they shorten the beards&grow the moustache, do the opposite,

some rulings were instructive&some was advice to be different & unique, that's not necessarily a ruling pertaining to paradise & hell.

if he said: tie your sandals high, would you take that as a ruling to forbid walking barefoot or with shoes?

btw, the rabbis & the fathers mostly have long beards now, i keep a trimmed one - Muslims still say peace on d streets
