  • what exactly make you talk about european languages under this great song? no one commented about this song really omg!

  • @MistiBear101

Spanish is similar to German because of loan words in trade, the fact that Latin has a bit of influence on German as on all Western European languages, both of your countries at one point were ruled by Gothic tribes which helped shape both languages, and because of similarities in Indo-European languages overall.

  • still rules!

  • This makes me think of girl I know who not only moved far away but is German and introduced me to oomph, oh and took my heart with her when she moved

I know what I'm talking about, cuz I am from germany and it wouldn't be my first choice to learn german as a foreign language. english is so much easier!

But if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask ;D

  • @DancingIntoDeath1 this person shouldnt have any truioble with it. english evolved from german and french :)

  • bin ich der einzige der denkt dass es bei dem Lied um einen Stalker geht?

    I can feel you

    sense is spüren wie warnehmen

  • loving it, OOMPH has such sweet songs, but badass at the same time. :)

  • From what album is this song?!

  • German is therefore a beautiful language, yes? Oh my god, what drugs they have just given you. German has a difficult grammar than the English language. But please, if you think the German is the most beautiful language, do not you forced them to learn. Just for information, I am a German. Unfortunately, with very poor English skills.

  • i have this song as a ringtone

  • thank God I can fluently speak both english and Deutsch fluently:D

  • englisch und deutsch sind "schwester sprachen"... und ich spreche beide Oomph zu verdanken!

  • Oomph ist eine der geilsten deutschen Bands <3

Oomph is one of the best german bands, i love em <3

  • oomph meinte ich xD

  • oopmh is einfach hamma geil <3

  • all of you stop whinning about wanting to learn it and just fucking learn it damn freakin mama junges and madchen

  • @lan33er hm, nearly right, madchen xD but srsly didn't you ever want to speak a language but couldn't learn it because of not existing teachers and hard grammar?

  • @TakiroChan well the thing is i am learning it cause if i want to know what they saying because they sound cool and if they sound cool imagin what they are saying

  • @lan33er that's not what I meant. But a lot of people'd love to learn a language because of the things you mentioned, but simply can't find anyone teaching them. (btw I never thought that you'd have to understand what they're singing even if they sound cool.. same with me and japanese rock ^^)

  • this song makes me feel safe <3

  • wow megga geil liebe diesen song klasse das es auf deutsch und englisch ist sollte mann öfter machen

  • Ironic how I've been trying to learn Spanish for years, but suddenly my best friend sends me the link to this band, and I'm picking up German like the back of my hand. xD

  • @MiracleofaSong Hallo! That's funny you say that, English is a Germanic Language, meaning it's a Decendant from German. Hence the Likeness of the two Languages. :) I'd advise you stick with German, sense that's your Pick-Up, atleast you'll be Bilingual, given English is your only Language? Try Spanish later though. :) Tschüß.

  • @Terminatrix6 I am taking French in school and I'm pretty good at it, but I'd like to advance more. I'm interested in German too. Do you know any good websites or programs that can help you learn languages? Preferably free ones?

  • @rebelsheepsaymoo2

my.dict.cc it taught me a bunch of what i know....but i prefer you try to find someone online as a friend and do video calls weekly....or also study the lyrics to german songs and try to interprate them yourself with a few help from the website above and on other things.....

good luck with trying to learn it...it's great to speak aloud...

i am also taking french in school b/c german is not provided...X( imma kill them

  • @Terminatrix6

i'm like multi-lingual....lmfao french, some spanish though i resent it, german, english, and i think that's it...ha...:)

  • @germanmetalgurl16

i love languages... all of them except spanish lol. im studying it but only because im forced to. its very useful where i live but i hate it. I am studying german french spanish swedish russian and korean but im not very good at those last three because i just started. but GERMAN IS THE BEST ONE JAAAAAAA!

  • @BlutigenFehler

wow i hate spanish i know a bit b/c well they are taking over in my city...i came across Rammstein in the 9th grade and i've been hooked on anything german ever since....and i've only a semester of school left...oomph! was discovered the beginning of 11th grade along with LaFee....i can't live without oomph

how can you learn that many languages?!!!!! YOUR INSANE!!!!!!!!

  • @germanmetalgurl16

omg i love all those bands. yeah i LOVE german music. LOVE ITTTT. And i guess im just a language freak! Right now theres about a dozen languages i plan on learning, but german will always be my number 1!

  • @MiracleofaSong It's because German is fairly close to English.

  • @MiracleofaSong

It's because English is a Germanic language.

    Our language derives from German.

Plus you might just have more interest in German. :P

But yeah, our languages are very close.

Even though I wish English never 'evolved' out of German,

and that we just SPOKE German. xD

  • @XrockerXmosherX but then you couldn't impress all of us "english speakers" with your perfect english!! = ) cause i am = )

  • @XrockerXmosherX Actually English is a fuck up of a lot of languages like Greek and Latin most words are from that however yes German is another one.

  • @XrockerXmosherX actually, we would just speak Norse if things weren't evolved :P

  • @XrockerXmosherX English isn't just a Germanic language its an Indo-Europe language that comes more from Latin. there are more Latin words in English than German.

  • @nicklucy94

All European languages excluding Finnish, Estonia, Basque, Saami and Hungarian are Indo-European and English has twice as many Germanic words than it does Latin that are used by the average English speaker, excluding advanced scientific terminology, etc.. You can call English a Hybrid but most definitely not a Romantic language.

  • @XrockerXmosherX youre right the angel (cause of them england) and sachsen came to england and were its inhabitants the juten had something to do with it too

  • @XrockerXmosherX yeah and German grammar is so different...so difficult...ich weiss nicht.

  • @Bardleader German is hard to learn, I am very happy to be a native speaker

I mean der, die, das this is hard to learn. But we are a language full of poets and artists <3

  • @Bardleader

Trust me, it is easier than learning Finnish! I am doing that now and they have grammar that's as hard as English!

  • @XrockerXmosherX english is actually the hardest language to learn, because most of our words look different then they are pronounced. like, night, the a german theyd be saying like nichhgt, thats how it looks like you'd pronounce it but its not. we also dont have the symbols above lettersto know if its long or short vowel, very hard to learn.

  • @eminemfan0192 you can´t say if your language is hard to learn cause you never had to learn it, and most non native speakers say it´s easy, no genders, no plurals, no conjugation, etc, so it´s easy, pronunciatin wise though it is hard.

  • @XrockerXmosherX Even if I'm a Finn I really can't agree with you comparing Finnish and English and saying that their grammar is equal... I'm 100% sure that our language is a lot harder than English... Dunno how far you've progressed in your studies but I'm sure it's gonna be real ''fun'' learning to speak Finnish once you're studying the harder parts :D

  • @Levinsnakeful

Just 'cause it's hard doesn't mean it can't be fun. My teacher is from Finland and he explains it pretty well. It's definitely difficult, and their grammar is not equal, but it doesn't deter me.

  • @XrockerXmosherX

Heh, personally I wouldn't mind hearing songs similar to this in Anglo-Saxon from back before the French invaded!

  • @XrockerXmosherX meh, i like our language. It has a hell of alot of latin words too.

  • @XrockerXmosherX

Saying English is derived from German is like saying humans are evolved from chimpanzees. English comes from a mixture of Old Low German, Old East Norse, Old Frisian, and old Norman French; all whilst German is derived from Old High German and shares much more similarities with the long extinct Eastern Germanic languages in comparison to the Western Germanic languages of English, Dutch, Frisian, etc...

  • @HojoOSanagi Im pretty sure that they meant it is one of the languages English derives from. I would be so hard on them.

  • @HojoOSanagi

Of course, America is mixed up of many different languages with many different people! I was just saying that it partly comes from German too and considered a 'germanic' language! :)

  • @XrockerXmosherX LMAO no, English evolved from Old English to become Middle English and then English, while German was Old High German, to middle German until the German we have nowadays, the only thing they have in common is that they´re west Germanic languages which is too generalized, meaning they have almost nothing in common.

  • @XrockerXmosherX English retains many archaic Germanic features which modern German lost. Our vowels are more similar to Dark Age German, and we still use the W consonant sound. On the other hand, we've almost entirely lost the declension of nouns, with "whom" being an ever-more-endangered remnant of the once rich system. Also, for the past five hundred years or so intellectual types have tried very hard to make English into a Latin Language. Show your Saxon Pride- split an infinitive today!

  • @XrockerXmosherX Agreed. I'm actually learning my English grammar much better than before because I'm trying to apply the grammar from german to english. XD So far it's worked!

  • @MiracleofaSong You and me both. : )

  • @MiracleofaSong The same thing happened to me. I tried for 3 years to learn spanish and all I could do is say silly sentences. At the time i was listening to Rammstein and then discovered Oomph! a few years ago and am now taking German in college and I've already learned more German from listening to those 2 bands then I did for 3 years of spanish class.

  • @computergeeq but Oomph came first :)

  • Es ist einfach nur toll!

Durch das Lied fühl ich mich schon viel besser^^

  • The intro reminds me of "Pretty Women" from Sweeney Todd.

  • Uhm...what album is this on??

Doesn't sound very oomph'y, to be honest..but still, I'm curious to know how many other OOMPH! songs I lack D:

  • It's off of Ego. It's like a special song or something idk. But it's a single.

  • it´s on DELIKATESSEN

  • Lots of bands have different styles in their songs, Oomph being metal metal metal all of the time would get boring.

  • ich lass dich nie mehr gehen....

  • great song!!

  • Das ist tollllles Lied!!!!xD 10/10

  • ein tolles lied 5*****

  • Du ich glaube es heißt nicht, "i can sense you" sondern " i can feel you" Aber bin mr nich sicher...

  • einfach geilllll

    :)

  • i noticed that you messed up on the subject verb aggrement with "ich" and "gehen" when its ich,its gehe.letting you know.

love the video and song so much :)

  • This is such an incredible song. <33

Definitely a favorite of mine from Oomph!

  • wow this song's beautiful...

  • dieses Lied ist einfach nur toll <33

  • i love the guy who sings this. how do you pronounce the funny, B-shaped thing?

  • The B-shaped thingy is pronounced as an "S" ^_^

  • thank you very much for putting up with my ignorance. i love this band.

  • The guy who sings this is called dero goi... just incase you were were wondering XD and hes the most amazing guy ever... sooo talented!!! hehe!

  • Thank you. I'll look him up.

  • its pronounced like a double "ss" and is called an "esset".like in the song 6 Fuß tiefer. "fuß" is the same thing as "fuss" it just makes the spelling shorter. and btw fuß means feet or foot like the measurement.

  • there's actually some grammar background, that decides when it's "ß" and when it's "ss" ;)

  • the 'funny B-shaped thing' sounds like an S :)

  • I can listen to this song everyday and to this lovely voice.

  • es sagt die Wahrheit! Ich es mein neues Lieblingslied

  • I love Oomph!

  • deutschland das land der dichter, denker und poeten

  • i want to learn German so bad!!!!! it's suck an amazing language!!!! it's so interesting!

  • It's the Language that English was built off of. A lot of people believe it's Latin based, But it's actually a Germanic Language.

  • i know...it's a really interesting lanuage...english is actually german, latin and greek all in one....:)

  • There is more German in it then anything.

  • yeah i know....

  • Started of as Latin with some small celtic influences, then later a -heavy- germanic influence when the Saxons dominated the Island(their language was a lot like modern Icelandic) then further Germanic influence when the Danes dominated the midlands, and finally a french influence after the Norman conquest. It's a mostly Germanic language with heavy French influences.

  • @babylette100

i am currently trying to self teach myself german.....along with the help of 2 german friends straight off of the net....german is so beautiful....too many people think german is a language of anger....but that's not true....it's beautiful....

did u know that English is a germanic language? wonder why so many words are so similar?

  • @germanmetalgurl16

I always loved how european languages have roots in each other. makes learning them alot easier, cus you can listen for more familiar words and get the gist of what's being said half the time ;D

  • @wulferos2

    exactly!!!!

    :D

  • @babylette100 first, u should with english

  • @platinumdesignerX

    hahahah. win.

  • @platinumdesignerX You have no right to criticize someone's grammar if you yourself don't even capitalize the first letter of your sentence, spell out the word "you," or put a period at the end of the sentence.

  • @DMPivots I can't seem to understand what u r saying, is that english or ? cause u see, I thought english used commas, whenever u wanted to divide sentances. mb u should go to school more often and try less kiddo ;)

  • @platinumdesignerX I used 100% correct grammar. And you're obviously an idiot. First off, the word "English" is capitalized. As well, the first letter of every sentence is capitalized as well. Also, the word "you" is not spelled "u." And you're being a blatant retard in criticizing my lack of commas in places that don't even need them considering the fact that you spelled every other word wrong in your "paragraph."

  • @DMPivots easy there kiddo, u mad ? ; )

  • @platinumdesignerX No. You're a hypocrite who has no better defense than false accusations and internet jokes that stopped being funny 2-3 hours after they were made.

  • @DMPivots actually going all grammar police on a youtube forum is considered pathetic, but I guess someone who was born 10 years ago wouldn't know anything about it :)

  • @platinumdesignerX Actually, 10 year olds are the ones with shitty grammar, and decide to have poor grammar just because it's the internet. And you're the first one that brought up grammar. Even though your grammar was shittier than that guys in the first place. Also, calling someone young is like Your Mom jokes. Immature and stupid. And youtube isn't a forum, so you just epically failed.

  • @DMPivots haha "epically failed" is that some new phrase u learnt in Wow ? u r so cute kid, all angry and trying to prove a point :) some day when u'll grow older u'll understand, for now I suggest u play less Wow and go to school more often. oh and btw youtube has a forum, for example u are a so called forum troll :)

  • @platinumdesignerX WoW =/= good grammar or internet memes.

And youtube isn't a forum, it's a video sharing website in which you can comment. A forum is a place designated ONLY for discussion of certain things, not for watching videos.

And yes, I actually am aware that I'm a troll, but I only troll idiots, so congrats there, buddy.

  • @babylette100 you said this one year ago but... if you want to - and if you didn't learn it yet - I could actually teach you a bit of german, as I myself am german :P

  • @Firedragon1993 I know you posted it to someone else, but could you help me with my German too?

  • @DarkestItachi Why, sure, I'd love to =D

I'm glad to help someone and, well, you can't get to learn a language that easy if not in school... btw, you're having german class or something?

Also, you have any chat programs like MSN? That'd make it a lot easyer

  • @babylette100 ich habe auch deutch gelernt.

sorry for the topic of the words, ich muss viel arbeiten.
