  • You are making such a big deal out of nothing. you have footage of nobody on the train and you want park and rides? i say screw you and anyone else who wants a park and ride. this is no big issue. dont make issues.

  • When I lived there in the 60's and early 70's there was crap everywhere. But then again it was common for people to throw their garbage out the windows or their cars.I haven't been back in over 25 years,I'm sure it's alot cleaner now,it has to be.I can't stress enough how much garbage was on the tracks and roads then.I need to come back and ride the rails with my daughter and wife and tell them my life stories

  • bs!!

you want a park-n-ride at a stop [atlantic] where only the last car opens!?

The east side rail line (unfortunately, the only one) is awesome.

I only wish they hadn't changed the orange and red seats!

  • why wouldnt we want that? if you need to get off, go to the last car

  • Uhhh...That was the NASSAU overpass location NOT Atlantic. Plenty of street parking at Nassau AND Atlantic BTW. Further along is where the problems are. Pleasant Plains, Prince's Bay, etc. The further north you go, the farther you have to park although Grant City and Jefferson Ave stations aren't too bad.

  • I have ridden staten island Rapid Transit Twice. Its ok. Too Bad they got rid of the other two Branch lines . that would have been something if they kept the other two Branch Lines

  • its not that bad...thats eltingville isnt it???

  • This was the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's Staten Island Rapid Transit. It tryed to do business while the highway lobby was derailing the country. They lost. Enter NYCTA that I'm sure is hated by the same highway lobby. They want you in your car and to stay there. (Better to sell the $5 gas that's coming. There was never any planning when SI was fields with no dreams. The only planning was for roads. They had the money. Still do. Park and ride is a great idea.

  • the train aint that bad. i used to ride it everyday. the only reason i don't anymore is cuz i moved.

  • it isnt that bad

  • stop your bitching

most of the people that take the train are teenagers that are either not old enough to drive or people who dont have cars at all.

  • awesome vid!

  • yeah parking is a bother. i now live in maryland and they have a park and ride. it is cool and more convenient for commuters. since we do not have to walk a long distance.

  • stop fucking crying...i take the train every day...it's always on time, at worst i have to wait 20 minutes in st. george because the ferry was late. yeah the subway would be nice but we're too far out to travel underwater so good luck.

  • yeah the segment at the end nassau the emty lot is contaminated with cancer it would cost so much to clean in out just for unnesessay parking tht would prob just be used for like people messing around in there cars and shit and pluss nassau and atlantic are the most run down stattions there like falling apart 1/2 the platformat nassau is original and made outa wood and ashfault

  • haha omg this is funny

  • lol i agree

  • lmfao SIRR is sooooo annoying....go there, come back....no other way....no wonder its free

  • They need to expand the subway from the other boroughs into Staten Island.

  • hmph. i lvoe taking the staten island train. Its easyer then walking. and its free.

but it nly goes in two directions. 1 goes up and 1 goes down.
