Can I just ask how long it took practicing to get these down like this? I just got a strat, and i played guitar before i had the strat actually but i cant seem to get my hands and eyes coordinated so i can look at the tv and play at the same time. Just wanted to know how long it took you to get this down.

there are 2 types of pro guitar.. the one you see in this vid is "mustang". you cant bend for this one as it has buttons not real string. another pro guitar called "squier". for that one, it's basically the real 6-string guitar. so, you can try to bend the notes (although RB3 game doesnt care for bending)

@sk8theimpossible It doesn't chart bending, it activates the fret for another note and counts it as a miss. Harmonics don't register either, it just charts them as regular notes.

Back before anything near a realistic guitar was involved a video showing fake talent with a score like this would have gotten 100,000+ views. Now that it's closer to being real.....barely any interest at all. It sucks how the minds of the masses work against real talent. Keep going, and use the skills on a real guitar!!! We should be hearing original music from you someday.

im not sure which one do u refer to... btw, the STRAIGHT LINE means holding a chord or note.. the WAVY LINE means slide .. the HO/PO icon is note with GLOWING LIGHT BELOW ITS NUMBER which indicate that that particular note doesnt require you to hit the strum.. u can just hammer-on or pull-off that particular note at the right time without strumming the string

actually, no ... also that if you dont fully hit all strings for open chord (e.g. hit only 4-5 strings), the game also accept as the correct play..

( im not really sure the rule to count correct OR miss but this is what i perceive .. )

thank you :D btw, practicing in RB3 good also make it easier i think.... this is because you can start "learn a song" mode to see how notes are for the main riffs or difficult note runs .. then, you can use the practice mode and practice each particular song from 70% speed... i'd say that RB3 is really helpful learning tool..

this is the DLC .. and you have to buy a pro guitar add-on for this ... and i think pro guitar add-on can run only on RB3 .. so, thats the only way to have it, i guess (RB3 + DLC/Pro Guitar Upgrade)

With regards to TTFAF, people will be pretty impressed regardless of how you do. You don't need to get 95+% on a song to make it worth uploading!

People would love to see an attempt of TTFAF from someone good like yourself, so they can gauge it's difficulty.

He might have started with bass. Finger picking is easier for me since I played bass before guitar.

i can play both way.. u can check my vids... some of them, i also play with pick... (my first videos are mostly playing with pick) however i cant find my pick for 2 weeks already (it must be somewhere in my room).. so, if you notice, my latest 5-6 videos are all without pick :D (And now i prefer playing without pick already) yeah.. funny.. but it is just like that :D

Yes, you are right... and i gotta admit that the kick pedal is really helpful... after i use it for a while, i find it very difficult to activate the overdrive without it.. its very easy to lose combo when u tilt the guitar... and you dont want to risk to tilt the guitar at some points of the song although that point seem to be a point to go for combo ..

Well, not really. All Rock Band 3 disc songs have both, but the majority of DLC does not have pro guitar charting, usually only 1 or 2 songs a week get pro guitar.

So @Moola008, yes TTFAF will have standard charting, since all RB3 DLC has all standard charts as well as harmonies pro drums and pro keys by default. It will also have pro guitar since it was one of 2 songs that week to get Pro guitar charting ( the other being Black Magic Woman)

the buttons of mustang are very good. they dont create any problem to me as holding these buttons feel really similar to real strings. (except that we cant bend it ... LOL) in my opinion, the hard part is that when i play real guitar i dont care the detail that much.. but when playing in this game, u have to play everything exactly as the original song is.. and that's the difficult part..
