Both the old and the new gladiators are brilliant but the new gladiators are better. The girls are hotter the guys are cooler and just the whole thing is brilliant. Tempest is my favourite.

theres some gladiators thats acting like wwe ffs... spartan and who else dipsy or laa laa... get the old ones back like lightning, saracen, cobra, jet, wolf etc

I remember watching the old one thru my childhood...i used 2 look forward 2 seeing it. The old gladiators were much much better, the old theme song was better, the old presenters were better, so was the set...In short the old one was good and the new one is shit

the old glads were modest and they knew when to compliment the contestants. These newbies are so 'showy', with too much posing and 'tough-guy' speeches.

The show has lost touch with what the original was all about. Very disappointing.

ive only watchd higlights but it looks alright i think it wud be much better with the big arena and more of an audience, but i think ppl are disliking it so much coz they are expectin it to be so much like the old series which just aint gonna happen its was set out to be new and different

I've been watching the highlights as i haven't got sky and if i'm honest, it's not that great- sure Atlas is gorgeous :) however, the games don't look as hard and it seems that the gladiators don't have that much personality,and was it me or did Oblivion's hard man speech seem laughable? Apart from bits in the men's final, i was not impressed with the games or anything come to think of it. Miss the old gladiators and am looking forward to the legends show.

This new series is alright but what's dragging it down is the lack of sportsmanship and the amount of smart arse contenders. Mind you, its only the fist few weeks so I'll give it chance. Besides, Inferno could have her first featured event instead of being part of the Hit and Run 4some. Mainly because she's sex on legs and she's from Tamworth, near where I live (Burton).

That final mens eliminator was so like something out of a movie! My little Christian brother used the Word of Faith just like the real David did to Goliath! I wonder if he will get to go against Spartan on Duel - he could just keep jumping up I suppose?!

SocailistPost - You haven't seen anything from the original episodes have you? There were some spectacular eliminators back in the day.

I'm glad I don't have Sky One anyway, 'cos from the looks of things, this new version of Gladiators just doesn't cut it for me. It's nice to see it back, but they really haven't done it justice in comparison to the original. Feel free to disagree with me - it's just my opinion.

The old episodes used to be my life, they were all I lived for when I was like five or six.

The recent one however had a guy start 15 seconds ahead only to be caught up with then to take the lead then get beat. You have to see it. Not a patch on the old ones but hey we would say that.
