this music was introduced to me by a co-worker... my mentor... and a friend... only to learn a few months back that he has already passed on. i will always remember you everytime i hear this music. thanks for everything, my friend. may you rest in peace...
It would be wonderful and much appreciated if you would upload By Popular Demand which was a great album with many great song's and theme's from the The Movie Theme Tea, Ferrante and Teicher! Their music as so beautiful to listen to with their inimitable style of playing that was so wonderful, powerfula and so very moving emotionally! They were great pianist's and arranger's!
Ok what? Who rattlled your cage? I don't need your comment on anything and if my comment's about Ferrante and Teicher bothered you in some way it is your problem and that's just too bad you horse's ass!
Arthur Ferrante passed away last year at the age of 89....he left a vast legacy through the compositions he made with partner Louis Teicher...among them were the "Exodus" theme and the West Side Story song "Tonight"...other credits include the theme from "Midnight Cowboy" and many more unforgettable compositions....R.I.P. Mr. Ferrante...and may God rest your soul...
To this day i still couldn't forget the look on John Houseman"s face in that movie when i saw it in 1974....i was all alone on the 5th row of the theater on the last full show that night...i was scared stiff ....that poker face look still haunts me after all these years.....may he rest in peace.....
I remember, too, the AM dramas in the afternoon. I've been looking for this movie but I can't find a copy / I think the movie's title is the Paper Chase?
i saw the movie. a very good movie which starred timothy bottoms & lindsay wagner with the participation of john houseman (w/ his famous line, "...feel this room with your intelligence..." ) the movie has its sad part... i also went to law school but some others i didn't make... haaayyyy... (sigh) : (
yes, it was.. timothy bottoms got an "A" for his final grade in john houseman's class. it was in obligations and contracts (I think).. the movie was shown here in the philippines in the early or mid 70's. : )
shoesmeplace, i think you are referring to the last part of this piece. You're correct, AM radio dramas always end with the part at 3:29 and then you just have to wait for the next day's karugtong of your favorite drama
wqonder how sweet woud ir feel ifyou and your girl will just sit and listen to this piece, no words, and just hold each other's hand while in a tight hug..tindi siguro ng dating
how happy i am to hear this music again which i never heard off for a long time. i actually forgot all about it . so much memories but a wonderful music
Music by the great John Williams - of the "Star Wars", Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter scores. He also had a wonderful song for "The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing" - "Dream Away" with lyrics by the other Williams, Paul, and recorded by Sinatra in a peerless version. I wonder if anyone has it?
this is my most favorite instrumental my first boy friend gave me one of their record album . my yester years memories with him when i was in high school and he was the first liuetenant in military ...he passed away ...he was ambushed in one of the critical place in mindanao .....his memories remain forever ....its me jing del rosario of barcelona spain.
This is SO Seventies. The melody, arrangements, theme, the sound, everything! reminiscent of the good not-so-distant years 'when all the pieces fit' to everyone. Thanks for posting!
This has been one of my favorites since I heard it the first time decades ago... Thank you for posting this... tagal ko na ito hinahanap... May I download it? is there an mp3 file for this? I used to have the cassette tape of ferrante and teicher...
@Jokarilon - I have just shared this link on my FB. Today would have been my dad's 79th birthday and this is his kind of music. To this day this music lingers in my heart. Thanks! Would you be kind enough to forward to me the MP3 file so I could download it to my tablet? Thank you! mcmbonilla@gmail.com
matagal na kong humintong mag-yosi pero parang tama ang idea mo,.. mukhang mapapayosi rin ako sa popcorn ng plaka,.. classic ang tunog,.. reminiscing the old days.

They seem to be under-appreciated. I can't find many re-presses. I have "By Popular Demand" if you want me to upload any tracks, name it.

It IS a big mystery to me why this song is extremely famous in the Philippines, but NOT in any other part of the world, most notably the U.S.
I think it is an unfairly underrated, brilliant piece. The lyric version by Bobby Vinton is great too.
ticovaldezmd 2 years ago
I agree. Actually Bobby Vinton had been famous in 1960s and had not actually heard this piece in the radio at that time...
