well after watching the movie a few times, it made me think that one of them should have asked the children what they should have done, let them decide if their lives was worth more then 10 million.

The question is, do the # of lives matter when taking them? Is taking a few lives to save millions justifyable? The U. S. Army does it all the time. That man put his family and children in that situation because of his actions.

This is done around the world everyday, to the fullest extent. Even the torture of children to gain information. It may be morbid and inhumane but, in some cases, is completely necessary as viewed in film and first hand. Torture saves more lives everyday then it kills. I do not condone it but realize that it is completely necessary.
Once again this movie makes me sick. It teaches us, torture needs to be legalized and there is no limit as how far we need to go... this includes killing innocent children!
!Spoiler Warning! at the end of the movie H(Samuel L Jackson) kills the terrorist's wife in front of him to get the truth, she was innocent and knew nothing. The terrorist remained silent, so H brings in the terrorist's children and start tying them up, the terrorist tells H where the 3 nukes are. H is convinced there is a 4th nuke and wants to continue the torture of the children to extract the information from the terrorist, H is not allowed and the 4th nuke goes off. @throwingshit This is difficult, I've just learned tat there were two endings to the movie. In the version I saw when Brody takes the kids outside it just ends. You don't know if there was a bomb that went off. Personally I thought he yusef gave fake information and the bombs were going to go off. Or like H said let a 4th go off.

most amazing film I have watched in a while, some acting is a bit suspect but thats what you expect when you have a film full of brutes doing what they do best. most enjoyable film I have seen in a while, some acting is a bit suspect but thats what you expect when you have a film full of brutes doing what they do best. I like how some parts are grim and gory yet they appear to me humerous. so glad i went to QUICKFREEMOVIE to watch this absoloutly epic!

me personally, I would have started with the wife and children. I read all the comments on here. I respect the oppinions and views of you all. My oppinion is this: If it came down to 10,000,000 (thats a 1 with 7 zeros) innocent american people. 1) If the guy had everything planned to every little detail why not just blow up the entire shit from the beginning? This is done around the world everyday, to the fullest extent. Even the torture of children to gain information. It may be morbid and inhumane but, in some cases, is completely necessary as viewed in film and first hand. Torture saves more lives everyday then it kills. I do not condone it but realize that it is completely necessary.

The terrorist remained silent, so H brings in the terrorist's children and start tying them up, the terrorist tells H where the 3 nukes are. You don't know if there was a bomb that went off. Personally I thought he yusef gave fake information and the bombs were going to go off. Or like H said let a 4th go off.

I stand by what I said, the tortue of 2 to save the lives of millions is acceptable. If you can think of an alternative where we get information out of these extremists then by all means don't hold it in. Tortue has been used for thousands of years for a reason. It works. It saves the majority at the expense of the (extremist) minority.

@throwingshit I find that to be kind of selfish, because you're saying "I'm MUCH too proud to commit TORTURE! I'd rather of thousands of men women, and children die!" The terrorist could control rather or not his kids and wife would be torment or not by giving out information. But those thousands you allow to die because you're 'above torture' they DONT have a choice in the matter. So in a way, you're murdering them. A real hero is one who WILL anything to save his nation, even be a villain.
