it worked for me it kept connecting and disconnecting sometimes it worked sometimes i diddnt but after reseting it it works again im not gonna just unplug it now eject! FTW

There is an easy soluition but it does cost a bit of money. For my friends I-Pod, her warranty was out, so what I did was I extended her warranty for 40-60 dollars... can't recall the price and they sent a "refurbished" I-Pod, I just had to send in the old one and about a week later I got the refurbished one, the warranty was for another 2 years. Still cheaper then buying a new I-Pod

Mine was showng a sad face. I reset the ipod holding menu and center button. When the apple symbol came up I held down only the play button. It seems to be ok now. My songs are still there and now itunes recongnizes my ipod.

i think you mean its freezing up itunes and that in turn is freezing other applications. this is a sign of a weak battery.

same thing happend to my 4g 20gb ipod, its something in your ipod like a corrupt file if you can get it running long enough you should be able to restore it or delete every thing off of it, it worked for me

haha. actually after a month of that, my ipod started to work without having done any. =)) i just let it stayed there then after a month i checked it. it was okay. :) weird eih. haha

that should resest your ipod and might take it out of disk modee

yeah if that shows.. connect it to your pc then restore or reformat your ipod. my problem was when i plug it in to my pc. my diskmode goes out..

If its going out in disk mode maybe you should give diagnostic mode a shot but I honestly don't know which tests you should run. Google Ipod diagnostic see if there is more out there.
