@hizzleyo Actually I can prove that I didn't push the guy. There is video and electronic proof that I was at work when the incident took place plus the eyewitness statements that my coworkers would give placing me at work. Then the fact there is no record of me leaving the country, especially since I don't have a valid passport. Yeah, I can definitely prove I didn't push the guy. Oh and Erwin claims there was just him and the complainant around when the supposed pushing happened.

@DTofMN no how bout this? Show a video of Erwin pushing the trainer and Erwin wins. Of course in Japan you're guilty until proven innocent but even so; the cove guardians called on witnesses from the hotel to vouch for Erwin and they did but the police still refused to budge. Also they had video footage of a fisherman assaulting a cove guardian and the fisherman was detained for a couple of hours and released.

I couldn't care less about that Dutch in jail, even if he rots 2yrs in prison. Whale Wars is like that other scripted reality shit on cable. Animal Planet is making money with commercials and most probably donating a part to Sea Shepperd. And SSCS gets important media exposure to collect even more donations. In the end its all about money. A whale being harpooned, and loosing tons of blood helps a lot to raise funds and audience rating.

You think they don't discuss what they are going to do with the camera men before they set up the shots. The whole point of camera people on the SS boats is to get their point of view and give them publicity. Animal Planet is very much in the tank with the She Shepards otherwise there would be no Whale Wars.

Animal Planet is hostage to whatever the SSCS wants because the can't afford to upset Paul enough for him to kick them off the boats.
SSCS has total control over what goes on Whale Wars.
The only reason for SSCS to not release the video is because they care more for money and fame than for the whales.

@hizzleyo No you seem to have the lack of understanding. I know AP pays the SSCS, and actually the current number is reported at closer to $750,000. But as you pea-brain can't seem to grasp, AP makes many many times what the pay SSCS when they sell ads on Whale Wars and they want to keep making all that money. To keep making that money they NEED the SSCS. So they won't do anything to upset the SSCS and thus if they are asked to release video they will to keep their cash cow happy.

Now as to your lack of understanding simple economics. SSCS has the only supply of direct action against the whalers. There is demand for that supply, I am sure many other channels would love to have Whale Wars as their program. Thus there is more demand than supply. In that case the supplier has ALL the power. If AP won't meet SSCS's desires, they can just let some other channel film them from now on.
