its really cool to see that the developers did quite a lot despite the systems limitations. I just wish that in the game gear and master system versions the developers didnt scrimp on fighting arenas. I also think that they should have added Kintaro. I know its only an 8 bit system but I think they could have pulled it off.

The Game Boy version is pretty amazing considering its on a small 8 bit monochrome console.  One of my favorite ports actually.

A blue colored "Sports" edition Game Gear was released in the USA. It was packaged with the game World Series Baseball. In Japan, a red Coca-Cola one was also released. The red Game Gear was packaged with the game Coca-Cola Kid.

The graphics are nearly identical on both versions, however, I like how the Game Gear version has a full color palette. The sound is better on the Game Boy version is better, despite the "FIGHT" voice being present on the GG version. The GB version is faster than the GG. It's really just a matter of opinion. I like the GB version better.

Hey I have a question in Mortal Kombat 2 for the GameGear does all the characters only have one Fatality as well as a Spike Fatality? One time when the AI as Mileena beat me up I saw it do another Fatality she sliced me up instead of chew me up and I want to know how to do that and if there is more. yea he was not in the gameboy version either the only fighters missing in this and the gameboy version are ofcourse kung lao,raiden,johnny cage, and baraka but they are both awesome ports the gameboy port wins over this one though

Nice review. I'm acually suprised we can see anything at all. Everyone of these early handheld systems had the same problem where you can't see shit unless you're at the EXACT angle of the screen.
