  • I just LOVE how soft their wings are! When I had the privilege of handling a friend's giant cave roach, I rubbed his wings against my cheek. It may sound gross to quite a majority of people, but give it a try, it's very soothing, haha!

  • Strange I never liked cockroaches and I happen to click this and then I was like "aww that's cute I want one!" lol ;s interesting little creatures it seems.

  • You see, roaches get a bad rap, but its always the pretty tropical ones who make them look so much better

  • What sort of environment do you keep them in?

Im quite interested in getting a few, but there is hardly any help on the interwebs.

  • Do they smell bad? I like cockroaches but I have never kept them as pets and wonder if they smell.

  • @victoriapschen Whenever they emit their defensive scent, it smells a bit like nachos, lol... but only temporarily. Otherwise, they don't really have a smell. When I open the lid to their tank, it just smells of moist dirt, which I find to be a pleasant smell :)

  • oooooh how cute!!! the 2nd one you picked up looked exited, i love roaches i think they are wonderful creatures and because so i am called lord roach.

  • Are these legal in California? These are cool...haven't seen any for sale out here, and our wildlife and game laws are so wacko sometimes....

  • What do they use their wings for?mating?flying?or for show?plz write back.

  • @carlismycoolcat The death's head species isn't capable of flight, and the giant cave roaches only barely fly. So I figure their main use is for mating/displaying to females.

  • @PenanggalanMonster

Good to know, I saw a movie where they used those roaches and they flew in the movie. I was afraid it was true. lol It was one of those swarm type movies.

  • @carlismycoolcat they use their wings for gliding

  • i really don't understand how people have the nerves to touch them. i touched a dead one trying to pick it up outta the floor and literally had a panic attack. what's the official word for bug phobia?

  • Would you happen to know where you got these? Know a good place to buy them? Because I want some.

  • Fff I love how inquisitive he is, and so laid back. Absoutely gorgeous.

  • how did u get it?

  • no normalne to nie jest aby trzymać w domu....robale:d a jak by się ten stok obudził i by go takie oblazły...chociaż on ma zapewne tak z garem nie równo ,ze by się ucieszył ze go rano robale oblazły na przywitanie dnia :D

  • Awe, it's so cute.

  • :54 roach thinking "AAAH! Nooo. What U want?!?!"

  • I've had those 2 species mixed, and they mate with each other, but I guess fertilization was not successful. Cool roaches though.

I made a video of my roaches performing, check it out, you will be entertained!

  • I love the look of them, but the feel of them clinging to me and tickling me makes it impossible for me to touch them. xD Ironic, considering how I love to hold tarantulas. I think it's a beetle thing...

  • great....it makes me want a couple -_-

  • @Jiro2905

lol I just bought a few xD

  • Proper Latin terms of these are better informative than....bug 1....bug 2....brown bug....black bug....that kind of thing, I believe. Just a guess, but I think that's the point she's trying to stress.

  • So cute...and the names are in Latin, I believe.

  • Beautiful, I love the look of them.

  • why the hell are the names so funny sounding
