this is kabuto-mushi which means in japanese a beetle with samurai's horned armor helmet.

but female has no horns.

yes, i think every insect (both male and female) has a pair of antennae.

shape of antennae, however, can differ between male and female.

for example, male longhorn beetle usually has longer antennae than female.

and male moth often has more elaborate antennae (branched like a feather) than female to detect tiny amount of pheromone.
