I have a very low tolerence for stupid bull**** and I can tell you guys that this video is very very wrong and pure bull****.... Ive been growing sprouts at home for years now and I SWEAR ive never been sick from it... In fact its funny because its kind of the opposite.. I just dont get sick anymore!! So its obvious to me they just dont want us to grow our own food so we continu to buy gmo foods and keep being sick as hell and then go at the hospital for pills. Peace, much Love from Quebec.
"The thing that bugs me is that people think the FDA is protecting them. It isn't. What the FDA is doing and what the public thinks it's doing are as different as night and day."
Therefor, if the FDA says something is bad for you and should be avoided, that's a very strong indication that it's probably extremely good for you and should be eaten in mass quantities.
This is a pretty stupid video. Seriously, 100 cases in a year is nothing. Do you know how many car accidents there are every day? The nutritional benefit outweighs the risk, though I do recommend growing your own at home anyway.
The key is to know where your food comes from whenever possible. Be connected to the land that nourishes you. Eggs and meat (especially ground beef) *are* dangerous when the animals are poorly cared for, so buy local/organic/grow your own when you can!
@offtodagobah I agree with you. You need to be careful what you are eating and not just alfalfa. Wash your fruits and vegetable carefully. One hundred cases a year is small stats. The health department here is pretty strict. If there is salmonella or e-coli from a market store or restaurant, it will get closed down, get inspected, etc.
I'd suggest you leave researching things to people a little more skilled in that area (you know people who actually do it for a living (I suspect your a type of person who needs to know when to differ to others)). The page doesn't say that alfalfa sprouts are unsafe. Just like chicken, they need proper preparation to be consumed safely. Chicken is not unsafe to eat, neither is raw alfalfa sprouts.
Using a spray bottle you can simply mist your sprouts or other raw vegetables with a safe vegetable wash solution containing GSE (grapefruit seed extract) which will eliminate pathogens.
118,000 cases of salmonila would equate to the consumption of almost 12 Billion eggs. Of course none of these things would be happening if we kept our water supply in clean condition, and stopped allowing the hormones, and other toxic chemicals that are created by big pharma, and agra.
@AlainWinthrope Psht. This video is a terrible source. Go for it; alfalfa sprouts are good for you, so if you like them, growing your own should be pretty gratifying!

@Hemp4Revolution I have to agree.
Former FDA Commissioner Dr Herbert Ley stated:
