  • The law was not given so that we would be made righteous. It was given to expose sin and to lead you to Jesus. It was necessary that Jesus did keep the law in order to fulfill Gods requirement for righteousness so that we would be the righteousness of God in Christ. Torah keepers miss the whole reason for the Laws purpose. If it's purpose was not to make you righteous then why strive to keep it? Do you think it makes you righteous? If so you are estranged from Messiah.

  • I've enjoyed this video..and find it thought provoking. I'll be rereading some things in the Bible. If I could ask,...what church do you attend?

  • "For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.” Galatians 3:10-12

  • @Conservmom The curse of the law is of sin and death, not the whole thing. If anyone in the new testament was saying the Torah was done away is a flase prophet. Matt. 5:17

  • @kidguapo1 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, [doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham." Galatians 3: 1-7

  • Shalom! I'm Torah observant & don't believe the Torah is obsolete - it's the manner in which we keep Torah that has become obsolete. Flesh vs Ruach. At min. 5:25 you said scripture was clear that the new cov. isn't better - remember Shau'l saying that the New Cov is better in Heb.8:6? Christians think that means Torah is gone (heaven forbid!). It's better because it keeps the Torah of Life while giving us His Ruach, enabling us to keep it. On stone or in the heart...the heart is better, no?

  • Are Jews God's chosen people? I am Vedic and does that make less human?

  • My beard is one month old. How many months do I need to grow it out before I can come out of my cabin out here in the northern scandinavia? Im afraid to disrespect the torah if I come out too early.

  • Thank you Paul. I've just posed this on facebook.

  • John the Baptist says about Yeshua Messiah "behold the lamb of God who TAKES AWAY the sins of the world". Not just our nature, but our actual sins. My life is hid in Christ. Please comment. I am a gentile who is learning to keep The Torah.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this Paul. You did a great job of answering her question, but could you take a moment and explain the verse in Hebrews about what is obsolete and is becoming old? You didn't explain that and I think many people will believe that you just skipped over it because you don't want to admit that that Torah is done away with. I hope you can see my perspective. But, I am a believer who has come out of the Church and is now learning the Torah.

  • I hope you can see my perspective, but this is one of those hot verses that people argue over and over. Thanks, so much! ~Shalom
