yeah basically with a sampler you can do loads, but also with a combination of different sounds and efx...!

well the roland stuff is usually closer to "real instruments" for instance if you want to use strings or keyboards sounds...but get an electribe for more synthese possibilities I guess, it really depends what sounds you want in the end

i wanted to have electronic drums but changed my mind and got an alesis micron a korg em1 korg smk2 later i sold them and got a fast pc a bcr2000 a keyboard to go software

but in the end the mc808 worked out the best for me soo if i have some money to spend i will get one again
