If you're wondering about how the objects are moving as they are, look more into SOHO's fairly unique orbit. It's not actually orbiting the sun, as it's more at an equilibrium distance known as the Lagrange point. Also note that the orbits of the Earth and Venus are not identical.

I think one thing to keep in mind is that a "Transit" is that which is viewed from Earth. They are calculated on both of the orbits of the planets in relation to each other.

What may seem like a transit is actually not, as the view from Stereo and SOHO are offset from the orbit of Earth.

So what looks like a transit of Venus is not the same view as what we see here on Terra firma. It may in fact actually be Venus.

I live in au and what is that half moon doing back to front at the south pole..THAT is NOT our moon....ours is around the other way....here quit a few people have seen a second moon.. pic up close shows it looks different to our moon.. i have pics of my own and it's not ours.

After watching the video it is easy to see that there is a difference between the real Vens and what is being labeled "venus" . Physics don''t just change on a whim, venus would appear to be gettting smaller as it moved behind the sun. I did watch and found the size of the object doesn't change. wtf?

After doing some research online (which didn't take all that long) I'm fairly convinced it's Venus... Yes it's moving up, but what if the satellite that's filming is moving down? Everything is moving/orbiting up there, so we can't just say "it's not Venus cause it's moving upwards a little vs another time it traveled behind the sun"... Please don't be so gullible like Donny...

just saw something freaking weird after hearing about people in australia seeing two moons in the sky i started watching the moon. and just above the moon inbetween the 12 and 1 oclock postion i saw a second moon with my naked eyes i coukd not believe it so i got my scope out to check it out and yes it was really there. a very faint second moon above and behind the moon it was like ten percent smaller than the moon. or it is much bigger but further out thus making it look smaller from N.W. Ga.
