Yes. If it's pronounced the German way it should rhyme with "right".

Me, being German, reading an English comic, thought it should be pronounced rhyming with "late".

Coz if you pronounce Veidt the German way you should, perhaps, also pronounce Rorschach with an "ch" as in scottish "loch" and clear vovels.

As a Dutch person, I know the English-speaking world has trouble pronouncing the "chchchch" sound. I think that's why Rorschach ends with a "k".

Let me clear this up. The pronunciation of "Vet" rather than "Vite" was intentional. I took a liberty that Adrian had changed the pronunciation of his German last name when he became a costumed adventurer in order be better accepted as an "American Hero". By winning the public he could better peddle his products and establish his economic empire. This was further explored in some scenes that were cut. Since I cut the film to focus on Rorschach the only remnant of this is the pronunciation.
