Only reason to watch this is because of Tom Hanks. But seriously there are times I actually have to side with the batshit crazy DM: His mother went into and redecorated his room with out asking and as for Tom Hanks, he killed the mugger in self defense.
Also if you're going to do a movie about a crazy D&D Fan just do a Scream-Saw Rip Off only replace Ghostface and Jigsaw with a killer who hides in a bobbytrapped building an uses the game as the blue print for his crimes
From the credits, I see that "Mazes and Monsters" is property of Procter & Gamble, who also came under fire in the 80's for having a "Satanic" company logo. Ah, beautiful irony...
@bjonas0725 Honestly, EVERYTHING looks Satanic if you look hard enough. Same deal with finding subliminal messages in Disney films. It's called Pareidolia: finding patterns where there are no patterns.
I loved the MST3K Monster A-Go-Go reference at 18:40. That made this for me.
I've played D&D and I'm a LARPer. I have no idea what this movie has to do with either. I mean, I'll occassionally slip into the jargon or real life events will remind me of the goofier plots my group has invented, but I've never had hallucinations and I don't think I live in that world. I guess what Spoony says is true; this is what happens when a person who knows nothing about the game makes a movie about it.
That's right, Americans are afraid of another flash mob of monkey attacks, or Ryan Seacrest producing another stupid reality show staring worthless celebrities.
ASU? Oh man, I don't know if I can like this guy ]:(
Everyone knows that NAU and or UofA is waaaay better xDDD
