Memory is not in the brain, the brain on ly transmit, what is in the Universal memory that resides in the Cosmos, We just broadcast i . from our brain. The definition of energy is "ability to do work", energy is also not believed to be sentient especially by physicists who know more about energy than me or you. Deepak Chopra annoys me. Some people can string up random words together to mean nothing and some other people will act as though they are saying something profound.
