i think its funny that their signs say stop big insurance, if we put health care in the hands of the government it will be the the largest corporation in the world controlling it instead of many large corporations
oh and you will still be paying for healthcare just before it was a choice not a tax you go to jail if you dont pay
Can someone explain to me why Israel can slap the USA in the face, as they just did, & yet we give them MANY BILLIONS in taxpayer dollars to help them with their budget so they can provide medical care to every citizen in their country and yet we can't have that here in the USA?
Funny how you didn't see the media covering this protest yet they were all over the Tea Bag rallies and town hall meetings stocked with health insurance company executives posing as "concerned citizens."
Make no mistake--this is all about money and the insurance companies have been rovving Americans blind for decades.
It's high time someone faced them down and thank God Obama and the Democrats have the balls to do it. The GOP wants only to continue to screw the middle class.
It's a sad day when people demand services from their government as a right. Tangible goods and services have economic boundaries that must follow supply and demand. It's the pursuit of such goods that should be a right, but that is simply the ability to live in a free society.
What people forget is that by demanding services from the government, they are taking from others through a third party. Maybe someday people will remember the responsibilities and moral roots that underly our republic.
Its a sad day the the U.S. hasn't closed all its post offices. Its a sad day that the U.S. hasn't closed the FDA, OSHA , and the CDC that protect Americans health. Its a sad day the Americans are trying the end the death panels of the Insurance companies. Its a sad day that some Americans believe other Ameicans shouldn't have to die for lack of affordable health care.
There's a difference between 'shouldn't' & reality. The problems with health care go far beyond what any bill congress wants to pass. Insurance is subsidized/distorted by vast regulations & restrictions that push costs way past the annual rate of inflation. If we treated it like true insurance (car insurance), you would have many more choices and much lower prices.
Unfortunately, the biggest problem is our currency. Eventually, it won't be prices going up, but our purchasing power disappearing.
So give your taxes and be glad you're helping others, even if you don't directly benefit or know those people! Think of it as your moral obligation to see to it that everyone has equal access.
I don't have a moral obligation to help others. I chose to be charitable by choice, not obligation. Unfortunately the government wouldn't really be helping these people. We should be restoring sound economics in health care if we really want to help people. Instead, we're providing something for nothing.
We already can't afford the promises we've made (wars, entitlements, social/corp welfare). If you really want to help people, don't put them in the trap of dependency - as good as it may sound.
Not really helping those people? Say that to the 50,000 people that die every year because of lack of affordable health insurance. Oh that's right, you cant say that to them because they are dead!
Maybe you could say it to a diabetic who because of the lack of affordable health care will later need a limb amputated.
-Change the tax code so that people don't benefit from having health insurance from employers.
-All expenses other than those that are extraordinary/infrequent should be paid out of pocket. Nobody cares how much it costs to go to the doctor for a cold b/c they don't pay for it- that's not the role of insurance.
-Allow competition and no subsidies to pick the favored companies.
Change the fundamental problem of health care - cost. Just giving people free care only exasperates our problems.
Insurance companies don't set prices. They don't set fees. It's doctors and hospitals that are charging you ignorant dummies and yo7u still blame insurance companies. Their profits are in the 3-4% range. Do a little research and see what the drug companies are earning. Check out GE.
Put down the kool aid and educate yourselfs. Don't be a lemming all of your life.
Actually, it is a partnership between the Insurance monopolies and medical / pharma monopolies that allows for the prices to exceed what the average Joe can afford.
You are right that it is the hospitals and big Pharma that is setting the prices but it is only because they Set their prices according to what group can afford rather than what the average individual can afford.
3-4% is a misleading and irrelevant "profit" because it is calculated after everyone in the company has been paid.
People pay out $2500 a year for 2 years, then has a heart attack and needs $200,000 in surgery. Then never works any more paying to it what the costed the insurance company.
Or may even die 3 days later. Yet the insurance company is out all the money. and with the wind fall of someone paying for years never getting ill till later in life. And costing $500,000 to a million to keep them alive.
...I'd rather be scum of the Earth, and know that in my heart my beliefs are because I care about my fellow man, then an elitist corporatist who cares about no one but himself.
Not the same thing. I am not demanding a policeman or a fireman provide me with a service and calling it a right. Do you think highly intelligent/educated people will want to subject themselves to a bureaucracy governed by fools? Where do the innovators go then?
In fact, the police can easily be viewed as an example of what happens when the government gets involved in a public service. Do you think the police is about public service or revenue collection? watch?v=YqHxvg9tgqQ
So in your view, fire and police should be for profit entities? Healthcare may not be a right, but providing for basic healthcare is about common decency. Alright, you don't agree with universal healthcare -- don't you realize that YOU are only a lost job away, who will take care of YOU if you can't afford to pay? I'm asking specifically. Should YOU die if you can't afford healthcare? Should everyone who is poor die? It all sounds a bit selfish to me.
No, they shouldn't DIE if they can't afford health care. They should be FINED if they can't afford health care (and don't qualify for free care). If they can't afford the fine, then they should go to JAIL.
Or...wait...that IS that position you're taking, right? I mean, you know that IS the bill that you're actually supporting?
And when thou pray, thou shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou pray, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret [Matthew 6:6 & 7]
But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. You will be repaid at the esurrection of the just. [Luke 14:13 &14.]
I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despite fully use you, and persecute you; [Matthew 5:44]
Look! It the Insurance company owners! Where? Right there in the video? Any of these people that have a 401K or mutual fund own an insurance company! Why are they protesting themselves? They must be morons.
The truly funny part about this is that probably 75% of the people there OWN insurance companies stock in their 401K or mutual funds! People forget that these are publicly ownded companies and their profit margin is only around 2%! If you think your 401K sucks now just wait until Obama is through with it. Freaking morons.
I don't think these liberals understand that it is not the Insurance Companies that are responsible for the high premium costs. It is the suppliers of health care. The services and the hard goods of health care that keeps going up. Everyone is a crook in the health care business. Doctors steal from their own practices. Nurses steal from doctors.Hospitals and clinics steal from their clients. Lawyers steal from everyone in this business.
Insurance profits are definitely a part of it. Insurance has been a long standing stand up comic joke in Vegas for decades. I personally don't have any insurance that the law doesn't force me to have, auto inusrance.
But I believe the larger crimes are committed by Doctors and lawyers with defensive medicine, and with illegals and uninsured using the emergency rooms for service. Those are much bigger costs than insurance company profits.
Insurance profits at least make their way into the economy
no not a damn thing. Funny you wory about the whole insurance industiers 3% profit margin where as Coke-Cola the worlds most unhealthy drink compay makes a 28% profit margin by themselves.
Yet you'll spend thousands this year alone buying their products.
Come on now, I gotta call you out on this one. 3% represents what the company made AFTER everyone in the company has been paid. If the people in the company paid themselves more, the company would be able to say that it made less profit. That is the same kind of BS math that the Clinton's use to make the "budget surplus" claim. If you have a irresponsible spending limit in your budget to begin with, it will be easy to stay within its spending limit.
Nazi??? That's quite a leap! The VA provides socialized medicine, as does Medicare. Taken further, fire departments and police departments are socialized as well. would you want a "free market" for profit company responding to your house fire? Or Blackwater patrolling your streets? despite the hyperbolic rhetoric some programs just need to be socialized, that includes Medicare for all, single payer.
What chaps my ass are all the fools that post saying we need to pass this bill when NONE OF THE FOOLS HAVE READ IT!!!! What the hell is wth you people? Can you really possibly be all that stupid? I mean come on at what point do you actually start thinking for yourself? Healthcare reform is a good idea but don't support a program that you have no clue what it contains. You just blindly follow the prince of fools and that's so sad.
Perfect example! People are mad at the wrong person. It is not the cost of health insurance. It is the cost of healthcare. The reason it costs more is that the biggest insurance company in the country is NOT paying the full cost of treatment it's patients. Guess who that is?
Healthcare is not a right. It is a service provided by doctors and nurses.
If healthcare is a right, because you could die without it, then isn't food a right? So, let's nationalize agriculture. The problem is, that's been tried, and millions starved to death.
The best way to do it is to let the free market run it. It will lower costs and improve services over time.
LOL.... You people are idiots!! You have "Big Insurance" but love BIG GOVERNMENT! How nuts is that? Of course you are all probably in unions trying to make more Americans pay for your stuff. Try paying for your stuff yourself once in a while. You may actually feel some pride in it! Keep your socialism and stick it! Let us know if you need a new flat screen TV we can all chip in and buy you one as it's only FAIR right? Pathetic!
who do you want in charge of your health care? the same government that runs schools, social security, DMV, and medicare? or private industries, who actually have a capitalistic incentive to provide you with the best care possible?
...a capitalistic incentive to provide you with the best care? PUH-LEASE, they're profit driven -- that means denying claims and deciding which care is appropriate ie (the cheapest) Rant and rave about government death panels -- LOL, we already have them in private insurance
We already have socialized medicine in medicare/medicaid and SCHIP. The government already sets the prices for 1/2 the healthcare sector and regulates all of it. Most regulations though benefit politicians pockets as well as the industry. Medicare/ medicaid are broke and full of fraud. If the private side did not PU loses of the government side it would be rationed worse. 50% of Dr. don't take medicaid. Very few Hospitals take it. 30% of Dr. don't take any new medicare patients.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
the only person that should be arrested is Obama, for firing Joe Walpin, bribing the senators from Nebraska and Louisianna, and letting communists work in his administration
People seem confused about the mission of Health Care for America. The public option is what we need to lower costs and cover everyone. Do not be fooled by hidden taxes. We already pay for the uninsured in higher costs and higher premiums. It is the uninsured who cause the costs to go up. Every time an uninsured person racks up $800,000 in medical hospital bills, that are never paid, we all pay for it across the board from insurance rates to services. The public option fixes this problem.
The public option does little to fix that problem. Instead of paying their ER bills, we now pay for their insurance, whether they use it or not, plus all the government overhead.
Lets say you pay $1200 a month for your insurance now. Your deductible is $500. And your hospital is covered up to 80%. With 45 million people who don't have insurance and who pay nothing. The public option would include those people into an insurance pool, which would then compete with your insurance provider. The hospitals and doctors will now get paid for treating those 45 million people so their costs automatically drop. Your insurance premiums will also drop in order to compete.
Under either plan, it is cheaper to pay the fine and wait until you are sick to buy insurance, since they can't turn you down. This will cause premiums to increase, since healthy people are not paying their premiums.
There will be no fair competition because the government can run at a loss, while insurance companies cannot.
You are also increasing demand, which basic economics says will increase the price of healthcare. Also, we may not have enough supply to meet the new demand.
Demand causes the economy to grow. Doctors and hospitals might make more jobs for people. If you get medical care and preventative medicine you will have less sick people and less people going into the hospital for things that could have been prevented in the first place. The public option runs just the same as any other insurance. An insurance company will run that business. The government will not run the business, it will pay an insurance company to do that work; it will compete with other in
In a free market, demand causes growth, but healthcare is not a free market, it is heavily regulated by the government, making growth very slow and risky. It may eventually grow, but not soon, which means higher prices.
The public option does not run the same as insurance. If the government pays it, no one cares what it costs, so they can charge what they want and the taxpayers have to pay it. Look what happened with railroad rates when the ICC was first created.
Free healthcare in Canada. I'm glad to be a Canadian. If you call free health care marxist than I don't even want to know who bush is. A gay rodeo cowboy perhaps? Guns for everyone! For gods sake, you guys even have guns at walmart. Corruption anyone? While rednecks live, the USA is crashing.
Stop Big Cable! Stop Big Lawyers! Stop Big Union! Stop Big Government! Why arent we going after the companies that support Democrats? What happened to the AntiWar protestors when Bush was in office? Did the hundreds of Democrats that looked at the same intelligence as Bush lie Too? and lead us into an injust war?
What's a crime is trying to pass this lie over on the American people. The lie that the current healthcare "reform" doesn't benefit the big insurance companies. It's also sad to see the very same people who demonized the Tea Party Protesters as ignorant racists now trying to imitate their success and co-opt their rhetoric.
You want to fix healthcare, eliminate the State sponsored monopolies. Choose a Health Savings Account and a High Deductible Insurance Plan instead of a Public Option.
Shouldn't Obama at least tell his Union thugs to not wear their fucking t-shirts! And oh yeah -- this bill only enriches private health care. FUCK DEMOCRATS AND LIBERALS FUCKING TRAITORS TO AMERICA.
Is that funny or what i just saw a bunch of Unions, not normal people. At least they had better Signs it seems like a company made them. Maybe Obama used the stimulus money to paid all this people to protest!!
the real enemy is not a bearded man in a cave in afgahnistan but: JP Morgen, David Rockefeller, Goldman Sachs, David Rothschild, Bill Gates, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Bush, Rice, Clinton, Kissinger, Wolfowitz, Silverstein, the CFR, the Trillateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group and on and on, in short: the oligarchs of the world and their servants!!!
But some say if we go to single-payer we'll be a Nazi country.
It's hard for me to believe Israel is a Nazi country & we give them billions -- which help them provide health care to every citizen
And are all these counties Nazi countries: Japan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Finland, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Brazil,The Netherlands, Romania, Denmark, Taiwan, Switzerland, Norway, Ireland, Georgia, Wales, Canada, Australia, Italy, England, Argentina, Hong Kong -- & the list goes on & on.
We'll only be a Nazi country if just one person is mandated to buy healthcare, be it froma private company or for the government.
but being single payer is of the government, then yes the USA will then be a Nazi country. or is words you better understand, a socialist nation. but if forced upon the people of the nation, thena communist nation.
and yes all those countries are socialist countries.
hyperbolic rhetoric from a corporate kool aid drinker. The VA is socialized, as is Medicare -- These programs (along with fire departments and police departments) did not turn us into a nazi country, and neither will healthcare for all.
I am a VET and go to the VA hospital in La Jolla, Ca. It is the 3rd rated research hospital in the entire system in America. Doctors rotate through there on a regular short term basis, (I've had 4 primary care doctors assigned to me in one year)They are from Peru, from the Philippines and from Iran.Health care at the VA hospital sucks.
Medicare pays only about 80% what private insurers and private clients pay for goods and services. Even at that is bankrupting the country. And, quality sucks.
We should pay for our health care the same way we pay for our food, clothing, housing, ect. Insurance creates a distortion in the market the same way govt. programs do, it introduces a third party to negotiate prices for you, which is insane. Imagine paying someone to buy your groceries for you and they get a slice of the overall costs. What is their motivation to lower costs? Not only that, the more expensive they make it the more you will need them to gain access to the pooled money!
That's the problem with communist like Hemihead and DillionX, they want to sit on their fat ass while we work and pay for their food,water,gas,cars,homes,i-pods,cellphones and the internet as well as their healthcare for their fat lazy lives.
They don't want to work for a living just live off the nation. Not willing to get off their fat lazy asses and work for themselves.
These worthless fat asse people need to be lined up to a wall and shot.
The main reason chemo costs 100k is because the medical industry sets their prices according to what the "pooled" money can afford rather than than what the average person using chemo would be able to afford. Why shouldn't chemo treatment be affordable to those who need and use it? Why should all of society have to pay for someones chemo?
If everyone in society were forced to pay for everyone else's auto repairs, mechanics would be a rich as doctors and repair shops would be built from marble
There are those that not only want you to pay for their healthcare like Dillion. but their car payments, house payments, cable, inyernet, college, gas, cell phones.
These fat lazy ass wipes need to be lined up against a wall and shot.
This nation built off people working foor what they what. Now a welfare sate.
But DillionX and HemiHead are part of those lazy fat asses.
Who's views sounds like a Nazi? You. I'm a tax paying, Hard working American. Who is going to go bankrupt from medical bills. meanwhile the Healthcare industry has made 200% profit in the last decade. Not to mention the up to 35% increase in cost they've made recently. What!?
I can't believe that it has taken this long for people to see that the major malfunction in our Health is the Insurance industry. A single payer is the least expensive, most effective and has the greatest cost controls. So tell me again why we are paying a middle man for health care?
Hi Boomer, You pay a middle man because it lowers health care costs by having an incentive to make profit. Overall though, there is not really much profit in health insurance, the big profits are in pharmaceuticals companies. Pharmaceuticals companies can make huge profits because the government buys their drugs and doesnt care what they cost.
Seems we have all been paying this middle man for a hell of a long time and the cost keep going up, so your wrong on that one. And no the gov doesn't buy pharmaceuticals at all, what the hell would the gov do with a bunch of pills? Medicare part D does not pay for a lot of non generic drugs
A middle man is a thug, like a mafia gangster. He makes profit and doesn't care about you the customer. The incentive in a free market is to compete for the business. There is no competition and therefore they don't need to please the customer.
The insurance industry has enjoyed the Anti-Trust exemption for decades now, where they can create monopolies and claim "territories" around the nation. That has (or is in the process) of being revoked. Every state has their own set of rules around health insurance coverage, so be very careful that you get the coverage you want at a reasonable price, check the fine print, insurance in Calif is different than in Georgia.
The insurance co are like thugs and for the most part they don't care about your health, it's the profit they care about = Wall St. As for competition, the insurance industry has had a Anti-Trust exemption, meaning they can create monopolies. And just like the mafia, they have their territories. This little golden egg is being revoked, therefore true competition can happen.
FYI This health insurance reform bill gives $338 billion to insurance companies for the insurance exchange. People don get it. Even if you get rid of insurance and shift premiums to Gov. (taxes) We still have the problem of high cost healthcare. You see Ins goes up because healthcare cost go up. This bill does NOTHING to curb rising HC cost. Like over abuse, restricted free market, 3rd party payers, retail pricing, unneeded testing because of liability, exorbitant rewards of lawsuits, monopolies
EXCELLENT articulation targeting specifically who is responsible, legible signs and proper serious attitude. I strongly suggest naming names on a list in the video and referencing a link where people can view them along with information exposing the dynamics that have succeeded in blocking reform (media choice of interviewees and lies it's broadcast, links to media video challenging the lies, money spent on propaganda bombardment, Grayson, Kucinich and Weiner interviews etc).
davidpark68 I also hate the fact I know everyone driving a car has insurance so that if they hit me, their insurance company pays the damages. I would rather pay for their damages myself or see my insurance rate increase rather than know everyone has insurance.
P.S. I am being sarcastic. I have to say that because may low-functioning Cons do not recognize sarcasm
LOL I'm glad you pointed out the sarcasm because that's actually how it works here in jersey. unless it's a major accident, we don't turn it in to our insurance company. if we do our premiums would skyrocket regardless who is at fault.
Can't wait for this to be played out also with my health insurance when they make it mandatory.
Universal Health care doesn't mean anything if you don't think you'll ever need healthcare, think again morons; we are not invincible, nor are we all wealthy enough to pay for even the most minor hospital and surgery costs; which could run into the tens of thousands to millions; which I might add would put quite a cost on those with wealth; but what really gets me is the A-typical FOXNEWS moron; would happily go along with his tax dollars spent on Emergency Room visits; the most Costly care.

Maybe someday people will remember the responsibilities and moral roots that underly our republic.
jwinter228 1 year ago
Its a sad day the the U.S. hasn't closed all its post offices. Its a sad day that the U.S. hasn't closed the FDA, OSHA , and the CDC that protect Americans health. Its a sad day the Americans are trying the end the death panels of the Insurance companies. Its a sad day that some Americans believe other Ameicans shouldn't have to die for lack of affordable health care.
Gosmner 1 year ago
There's a difference between 'shouldn't' & reality. The problems with health care go far beyond what any bill congress wants to pass. Insurance is subsidized/distorted by vast regulations & restrictions that push costs way past the annual rate of inflation. If we treated it like true insurance (car insurance), you would have many more choices and much lower prices.
Unfortunately, the biggest problem is our currency. Eventually, it won't be prices going up, but our purchasing power disappearing.
jwinter228 1 year ago
So give your taxes and be glad you're helping others, even if you don't directly benefit or know those people! Think of it as your moral obligation to see to it that everyone has equal access.
jfkjrlover 1 year ago
I don't have a moral obligation to help others. I chose to be charitable by choice, not obligation. Unfortunately the government wouldn't really be helping these people. We should be restoring sound economics in health care if we really want to help people. Instead, we're providing something for nothing.
We already can't afford the promises we've made (wars, entitlements, social/corp welfare). If you really want to help people, don't put them in the trap of dependency - as good as it may sound.
jwinter228 1 year ago
Not really helping those people? Say that to the 50,000 people that die every year because of lack of affordable health insurance. Oh that's right, you cant say that to them because they are dead!
Maybe you could say it to a diabetic who because of the lack of affordable health care will later need a limb amputated.
Gosmner 1 year ago
-Change the tax code so that people don't benefit from having health insurance from employers.
-All expenses other than those that are extraordinary/infrequent should be paid out of pocket. Nobody cares how much it costs to go to the doctor for a cold b/c they don't pay for it- that's not the role of insurance.
-Allow competition and no subsidies to pick the favored companies.
Change the fundamental problem of health care - cost. Just giving people free care only exasperates our problems.
jwinter228 1 year ago
Some of you people are so stupid.
Don't be a lemming all of your life.
tommyde8 1 year ago
Actually, it is a partnership between the Insurance monopolies and medical / pharma monopolies that allows for the prices to exceed what the average Joe can afford.
You are right that it is the hospitals and big Pharma that is setting the prices but it is only because they Set their prices according to what group can afford rather than what the average individual can afford.
3-4% is a misleading and irrelevant "profit" because it is calculated after everyone in the company has been paid.
dlucas90 1 year ago
not profit but profit margin.
How much is taken in vs much it takes to ran it.

Come on now, I gotta call you out on this one. 3% represents what the company made AFTER everyone in the company has been paid.
HostileNegotiator 1 year ago 2
The public option does little to fix that problem. Instead of paying their ER bills, we now pay for their insurance, whether they use it or not, plus all the government overhead.
xp19375 1 year ago
Lets say you pay $1200 a month for your insurance now. Your deductible is $500. And your hospital is covered up to 80%. With 45 million people who don't have insurance and who pay nothing. The public option would include those people into an insurance pool, which would then compete with your insurance provider. The hospitals and doctors will now get paid for treating those 45 million people so their costs automatically drop. Your insurance premiums will also drop in order to compete.
HostileNegotiator 1 year ago
Under either plan, it is cheaper to pay the fine and wait until you are sick to buy insurance, since they can't turn you down. This will cause premiums to increase, since healthy people are not paying their premiums.
There will be no fair competition because the government can run at a loss, while insurance companies cannot.
You are also increasing demand, which basic economics says will increase the price of healthcare. Also, we may not have enough supply to meet the new demand.
xp19375 1 year ago
Demand causes the economy to grow. Doctors and hospitals might make more jobs for people. If you get medical care and preventative medicine you will have less sick people and less people going into the hospital for things that could have been prevented in the first place. The public option runs just the same as any other insurance. An insurance company will run that business. The government will not run the business, it will pay an insurance company to do that work; it will compete with other in
HostileNegotiator 1 year ago
In a free market, demand causes growth, but healthcare is not a free market, it is heavily regulated by the government, making growth very slow and risky. It may eventually grow, but not soon, which means higher prices.
The public option does not run the same as insurance. If the government pays it, no one cares what it costs, so they can charge what they want and the taxpayers have to pay it. Look what happened with railroad rates when the ICC was first created.

We should pay for our health care the same way we pay for our food, clothing, housing, ect. I can't believe that it has taken this long for people to see that the major malfunction in our Health is the Insurance industry. A single payer is the least expensive, most effective and has the greatest cost controls. So tell me again why we are paying a middle man for health care?
Boomer1949 1 year ago
@Boomer1949
Silveracity 1 year ago
Seems we have all been paying this middle man for a hell of a long time and the cost keep going up, so your wrong on that one. And no the gov doesn't buy pharmaceuticals at all, what the hell would the gov do with a bunch of pills? Medicare part D does not pay for a lot of non generic drugs
Boomer1949 1 year ago
A middle man is a thug, like a mafia gangster. He makes profit and doesn't care about you the customer. The incentive in a free market is to compete for the business. There is no competition and therefore they don't need to please the customer.
HostileNegotiator 1 year ago
A middle man type business who doesn't care about the customer will go out of business, unless it's run by the government.
You are right, there should be more competition, and all insurance companies should be allowed to compete in all states.
Silveracity 1 year ago

What you will win is higher premiums and higher taxes. While nothing is being done to actually lower healthcare cost itself.
