  • The problem is you can't see it--it just makes the water there unlivable. plastic can't biodegrade, it just photodegrades, which means it breaks down into smaller and smaller pieces of plastic that can get to be so small they re-enter the life systems of animals, which means soon many organisms will have plastic lining their bodies. Who knows what health effects this will cause as time goes on?

  • Yes there is the trash island, which is messed up! But you can at least see it. The plastic island is fucked up! Its layers go so deep, anyway.
