  • i wanna sing very high notes not using falsetto, i tend to squeeze my junk so... just kidding!

i tend to increase the air coming out and so the volume comes with it... is it fine?

one more question, for example my highest note in falsetto can i reach it without falsetto?

  • @JIZZZification Don't Squeeze!!! That will cause damage to your voice. Increase the air how? If you allow the air to release - great. If you are pushing air - no so much. Volume is fine if it's not pushed. Falsetto is a different range for men. Your highest falsetto probably isn't reachable in full voice. Spend a few pennies- get a couple videos: go to SingerQuickFix. com and check out the free video first, then take a look at the Falsetto, High Notes and LOng High Notes. Deck the Halls!

  • @zimnochmusic if you your so professional why are you here? Are you just so completely immature that you need to bash on their video? Some professional.

  • yea to much mask give you a brassy over the top full sound,

  • this is interesting thank u veryy much :)

  • @RecklessInspirer You're so welcome! I have a great free video you might be interested in - go to SingerQuickFix. com and you can watch the video! Enjoy.

  • Neither am I (talking about whistle tones). All of the singers I mentioned have countless records with sustained high notes in them. They have no problem shifting registers or moving the voice either. While you do talk about some important basics, you certainly are not sustaining high notes either, or demonstrating that you even have the ability to.

  • @zimnochmusic I reiterate, this video is not about sustaining high notes. Are you a singer?

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak But your video is entitled 'how to sing 'High' notes' a 'detailed' vocal training". You fail to demonstrate your own ability to sing high notes (if you actually have it) and with the exception of one basic principal of keeping the body open and not closing down the throat, you have failed to explain anything about how to either. The whole premise of your training program is flawed. "Sing like you speak" only works if you are speaking well. And yes I a professional singer.

  • @zimnochmusic Don't knock my technique until you've tried it. The speaking voice improves dramatically along with the singing voice - they are 1 voice. Also, there's only so much detail one can go into in a 4 min video.

If you are a professional singer, I'd like to see your videos.

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak Based upon what you have demonstrated I think I will pass on that offer. All the best.

  • I would be much more impressed if you could actually sustain the high Bb (for at least as long as you do the fall off)

  • @zimnochmusic That's a whole other lesson. My focus here is to give the person who is new to vocal training a glimpse into what's possible. This is also training for contemporary singers and not classical singers who need to sustain high notes as a normal part of their repertoire - not so w/contemporary singers.

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak Oh, you mean like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, Diana Ross, not mention Minnie Riperton (Loving You) or Janice Segal and a host of others. Oh, Yes those singers 'never' sustain high notes. It's only the classical singers that do - mm mmm right...

  • Ok!!!

  • i really need help though because i have a raspy voice and i cant say anything high, i cant even scream so how am i supposed to get high?

  • @skyjordan0330 I will have a video for you in answer to your question next week. For now, try to relax your jaw when speaking and singing. It will help to relieve the what causes a raspy voice. All the best!

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak thanks!

  • @skyjordan0330 Hi. Thanks for your question. A raspy voice is the result of HOW you are using it. Screaming is not a good use of the voice anyway and has nothing to do w hi notes. U need someone to help u learn how to use your voice in a healthy way. Take a look at SingerQuickFix. com and SingLikeYouSpeak. com. Both sites have the info u need to sing like a pro. Check out the free videos. Good luck!

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak learning to sing in the mask and frontal sinus help anyone sing effortless,,,

  • @TheDarkchaos55 Singing in the mask is not exactly what I"m talking about here. Open those spaces behind the mask and let the breath and sound move through. Stopping the sound in the mask makes for a harsh and brassy sound, not one that is released and communicative. For more info SingLikeYouSpeak. com

  • hm, interestingg.

i never quite thought about it that wayy : )

  • @ThatNatalieGirl Try it! You'll be surprised.

  • wow this really works

  • @Flytothesky8595 So happy that it helped! There's much more help available on my website, SingLikeYouSpeak. com Keep singing!

  • could you check my video clip when i sing?, i rly need some hints and pinters if you would like to do so. i know how to scream and i wanna learn how to sing aswell :)

the video i have is my first on a song, and the first time im singing :) so dont be to mean please :), thank you! nice video!

  • @Votlaksos You have a nice way of working w/the lyrics. Pitch is nowhere, though. That is where you need to focus now. Listen and hear the music - then respond. I will have some videos very soon - check back in a couple of weeks for pitch help. All the best! IN the mean time check out SingLikeYouSpeak. com

  • This helped me so much! thanks for posting this video! :) Now i can sing Lilium-Elfen lied ^.^

  • @moodyfoofoo That's great. Keep singing! And if this video helped, check out SingLikeYouSpeak. com All the best!

  • i cant belived this helped me sooo much!!!!!!!!!!

  • @easytosing I'm so glad it helped! Keep singing. You can actually study online on my website, SingLikeYouSpeak. com. It works a bit like this video. Check it out! All the best to you.

  • This made me laugh ;3

  • thnx so much this helped so much!!!! :-)

  • @TheSamitola I'm so glad it was helpful - that's the whole point here. I have many videos that might help. Keep singing!

  • @sallymmorgan but i was just singing for my mom and she said it kinda sounded like i was yelling. so what do i do about that?

  • @TheSamitola Shouting is a very different and harmful use of the voice. Speak on pitch is the key. The power you want in your singing comes w/practice and training. don't shout, don't yell, Speak! Check out my website for tips: SingLikeYouSpeak. com

  • Yeah, but I can't even speak high nevermind sing high.

  • @TheTelevisionRemote I bet that when you are excited and happy, you do speak in a higher range. Play around with it and listen. Don't push anything, but when you see your friends, don't you say 'hi' at a higher pitch than normal? Try it out and let me know.

  • This is very great video. I just got a problem... or whatever you decide to call it. I've got absolute hearing, so I always get frightened cuz I know when I'll reach the notes I usually can't reach. I hear when I'm soon at C5 so I strain; my voice gets tired and my head aches and the show is over.

  • @MrAlmqvist If your head is aching when you try to reach certain notes, you are doing an awful lot of pushing. It's just a bad habit. Habits can be changed. That's what vocal training is all about. Check out this video here on youtube on my SingLikeYouSpeak Channel called Why Study Singing. Also, I have some low-cost options for singing lessons on my website, SingLikeYouSpeak. com All the best!

  • Thank you so much!! i used to 'strain' my voice when i was younger and had such a range, lately i've been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and a post nasal drip and began to really struggle with my singing in general due to it hurting my throat even through acoustic music. i'm glad to say that this has really helped :) I actually can't thank you enough! :)

  • @soupandgravy If your throat is hurting when you sing, it has to do w/how you are using the voice - not w/post nasal drip. Keep singing! So happy the video helped. For more help, go to my website SingLikeYouSpeak. com

  • @sallymmorgan I sing rock; things like Paramore... Well, I try. Haha

  • This was really helpful, thanks(:

  • @randomOVERrandomness Glad to be of help! All the best to you! What kind of music do you sing?

  • I guarantee you that the reason people strain is for two reasons: 1. They don't know how, or 2. They don't want to get high-pitched, which they don't realize is actually how you do it.

  • @AtariMaxiToriyama Can you please rephrase #2? Don't quite understand what you mean. Thanks

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak Well, those people who sound like they're singing in chest, but are actually in mix didn't START that way. It starts with a more high-pitched sound. You have to train your mix and head voice to become more powerful, and thus, sound more like an extension of your voice.

  • @AtariMaxiToriyama The question is, do you know how to train your voice to become more powerful - without hurting yourself?

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak I do, thanks to more than one excellent teacher.

  • when you think in ki ,all the notes are more easy

  • for sing high notes the best is this...ki,ki,ki,ki when you thing all the notes in the word ki ,you stay in the pich correct ,in the key

  • @zarapato Thanks for your comment. I can see how ki might help you focus the sound so you can hear yourself better. Make sure that you don't 'place' the sound very forward to get the correct pitch - it will cause your voice to get very tight and not free.

  • i have not heard dis bitch sing once?? how do i kno she can teach me bruh haha

  • Hi, Ive been watching a lot of these videos and I have learned to not strain my voice and to go higher then I usually do but my problem is I can only go high when I sing soft or low as in the minimum volume and every time I try to increase the volume my voice either cracks or im stuck in my chest voice and cannot go into head voice =/ what can I do to prevent that or to actually sing louder?

  • @lilpunk144 It's tough for me to write out how to sing. You need to have the right breathing, the right muscles working and to be able to sing in a normal range before you sing high. Keep doing the hi notes soft. If u're doing it right, the muscles will get stronger and over time you'll be able to sing louder. Get a free video lesson from my site to help - SingLikeYouSpeak. com

  • Sing like you speak? Just like Kesha! She speaks in her songs

  • @1nOnlyJackie Just think of it as talking in a higher range.

  • Background greenscreen :D

  • I love pressing 5 when I watch this video ... sry

  • PRESS "5" repeatedly and listen to the sound of a laser gun!

  • i hev a question why can't i go from head voice to whistle notes? i try but is always chest to whistle

  • @lc0309 It depends on how you approach head voice-most likely w/out the support of abs-that's why-because whistle tones need lots of ab support. For a free lesson go to SingLikeYouSpeak. com and sign up on the right side of the page. All the best!

  • @lc0309 When you skip from 'chest voice' does it hurt? I haven't heard of anyone doing it that way.

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak No it doesn't in fact i can do it very freely without any pain

  • @passionatesinger100 Great question-it doesn't have to hurt to be causing damage Most people do not sing correctly but you won't just loose it one day You or others will begin to hear a different quality Certainly if it hurts STOP immediately To begin learning go to my website to dnload FREE voice lesson SingLikeYouSpeak. com

  • your funny :))

  • @anouni1713 Thank you

  • Why is that when I hum I can reach high notes when humming it can reach up to 30 seconds! and then when I sing gahh!!

  • @anouni1713 I'd have to hear you to say exactly what you do differently when you hum. Try beginning w/the hum, then open up to an 'ah' - don't take a breath in between-continue into the 'ah' Let me know if you'd like a lesson.

  • Why is that when I hum I can reach high notes when humming it can reach up to 30 seconds!!

  • @passionatesinger100 Wow! you are very intuitive Yes u can learn online Video lessons, practice tips, video of me working w/private students, practice demos/tracks plus monthly live Q&A w/me to ask questions Check out the free lesson on SingLikeYouSpeak. com home pg

Mouth position is part of their vocal technique-lots of mouth movement causes tension-which is death to the sound. keep asking your great questions! Sally

  • i'm 14 i start singing since i'm 6,but it's been 2 or 3 yrs since i sing...s0 i f0rgot h0w to sing high note....when i watch this vid. i think i get it...lol

  • @haraomma27 Your voice is like anything else-use it or loose it Glad the video helped Keep singing!

  • @SingLikeYouSpeak ha3...thanxx f0r the reply!!! visit my channel...i've c0ver 2 s0ng...hi3

  • Hi, gerat video but i have a question...

im 16 right now and i'v started singing about 1 or 2 years ago

but still not good enough and im trying to sing like adam lambert......is it possible?!

and when i want to do the high notes in his songs......well it doesnt go well

what should i do to get a better and opend voice to sing like him?!

    Thanx

  • @L0veGame666 The problem w/imitating a singer like adam lambert is that what you hear on his youtube videos - If I Had You - the sound, the voice you are hearing is not what he sounds like in person-it's electronically altered. The best thing you can do is get lessons that will teach you how to use YOUR voice. try SingLikeYouSpeak. com

  • hi! i can sings high notes(but not as high as beyonce) when i dont use microphone, but once i use microphone, i cannot reach high notes. how 2 solve this problem? any suggestions?

  • @lurvechoco46 Possibly when you use the microphone you can really hear yourself. Try recording yourself singing high notes, listen back. Are you really getting the notes? For more help take a look at my website/blogs SingLikeYouSpeak. com

  • @lurvechoco46 I know that when I use the mic I tend to sing quieter or more timidly because the mic makes me louder than I'm used to... or at least something like that xD

  • i got a question i know how to do high notes and sing well i know the techniques but when i sing in front of people i sound really good they say but when i record it sounds like really bad

  • @2Warlock4You It's always painful to hear yourself recorded, but it's also the most truthful. My best suggestion, if it means a lot to you to sing well, is to get vocal training. Check out my website SingLikeYouSpeak. com for online training.

    breathe,

    Sally

  • how to sing powerfully ? B'coz when I sing powerfully I geet dizzy and feel weak .....

  • @keyphi Finding a good vocal teacher is a real challenge. I work with people all over the world via my website and Skype. IT's a great solution to long-distance learning. Let me know if you'd like to do a 20 min free consultation on Skype.

  • SPACE...key word...Very important for high notes and through the whole voice but most importantly to keep the voice resonating in leggatto.

one of the most important things ive learned throughout my lessons in the past 5 yrs.

Great short lesson Sally,... i would love to take lessons from you but im in Palm Springs, Ca. :/

  • @zackinator007 Thanks for your comments. You can study with me! I have students all over the world who study with me thru my website and via Skype. Works really well. my private email is SingLikeYouSpeak @ gmail.com - let have a conversation.

    breathe, Sally
