  • Not a bad design at all. The only problem you really have is the wobble of your rail. Use plumbing shims to support and level it, maybe weigh your dolly down a little, and you'll be fine. To the question about how much a pro-grade slider costs... you're looking at five grand. at least. I like Tex's DIY idea.

  • Cool!!!

  • nice work tex :)

  • very cool indeed there Tex...getting all professional on us!!

  • Good Deal Tex!

I wonder if aluminum C-channel would give those wheels a smooth surface to roll across?

Btw, what would a commercial rail system cost?

  • It's awesome to see guy make something out of what he has than dream about what he can't afford. Great job Brotha.

  • Thats pretty cool Tex...I have made a rip line for a future video that I am doin... It is just a weighted basket on a steel cable but it works awesome. I should do a tech vid like this and show it.

  • Outstanding job Tex. Been following you for quite a while now. Always entertaining. Thanks for the great videos.

  • I LOVE IT! Looks like a true track, just needs a panaflex on it! lol You need to weld. then take the square tubes, mount them along the rails, then have connecter parts in them, so you can add track... I'll but 100 feet!

  • Damn nice idea Tex!
