He helps me concentrate when i train for my fights. his recitation gives me razor sharp focus.

With all do respect, i teach people to not only read qur'an but also to come back to the deen of islam. Listening to him gives me peace and fighting helps me remind me that not to fear snakes and komodo dragons or humans (whether public speaking or whatever) but to fear the lord of the heavens and the earth. If you lived in my community you will learn that our skill is indeed needed because people that don't want to be associated with islam will be associated through our example.

That very good that you teach people to recite the quran. UFC style of fighting, boxing, kickboxing or any style like it is really not good. Now learning to fight is good. I am saying these kind of sports are absolutly not good at all. It is not good in Islam also. Punching somebody senseless in their face. Believe me, i love love anything with martial arts, but there is no excuse for that type of sport.

I do Shorinji Kempo now but in the past I did wrestling and BJJ and muay thai. None of these sports teach brotherhood. Wrestling teaches you to survive. Shorinji Kempo is practiced widely by muslims in indonesia and stresses brotherhood. JZK for teaching me about the connection with UFC/Pride fc and Surah Rum. I never saw a connection in it. I live in Chicago

there is not connection with surah rum and when i mentioned rum, i just mean european(roman). they have always had sports like that, very very violent. there are also a lot of ahadith that speak about ar rum and the end times also, that is why i used the name also. ufc and sports like it is a way of entertainment for them and not only them anywere their culture reaches.
