  • Respect to both guys, Holyfield came on bravely in the second half but this was Lewis' fight.

  • I agree with the draw, nether man really did anything.

  • Evander Holyfield is better than Lennox Lewis end of story.

  • @GtaKilla5000 That's why he lost twice to Lewis you dumbass.

  • Just shows how corupt Boxing is in america!

  • This is a case where two MEN with STAMINA and strength(NOT STRENGTH as in Mike Tyson) fought each other. Lennox Lewis WON the fight BUT Holyfield did put on a strong resistance. Historically, the MAN with GREATEST STRENGTH and POWER is Mike Tyson. Just put any MAN in the RING in 1986 with Tyson, ( including Lewis and Holyfield or even prime Ali) result would be a badly beaten MAN on the floor.Tyson's Bones and Muscles are unusually made strong(rare Genetics). Just compare the effect of ONE punch.

  • @eezeok01 wtf Lennox hits way harder with his right than Tyson

  • Holyfield best!

  • Holyfield did not loose this match at all

  • @thirdexodus2008 Holyfield lost it by four rounds.

  • MIKE TYSON LEWIS IA END 80 YEARS ONLY SEE THE FIGHT TYSON VS GREEN ARE LIKE HEIGHT MITH POSTURE OF LEWIS IA LOSE FIGHT FOR POINTS OR EVEN NOCAUTE!

  • Historic robbery.

  • Both fighters fought as though they were wary of the other, respectful of their power. Holyfield was far too tentative in the early going and Lewis looked sharp. In the second half, Holyfield picked up the pace and Lewis seemed more sluggish. Still I have 8-3-1 Lewis, with Lewis winning 1-7 and 12, and Holyfield winning 8-10, and 11 was a draw. On the 10-point-must system, it was 117-112 Lewis. The fact that the judges saw this as a split decision draw was a disgrace.

  • @musiclover59

Interesting to see your score - I also saw it about 117-112 for Lewis. I have to say I'm very surprised you gave round 8 for Holyfield though, I thought that was a clear cut round for Lewis, especially the way he nailed Holyfield in the last 20 or 30 seconds.I thought that Holy shaded round 3, although very close as were rounds 9 and 11.

How the hell Eugenia Williams scored the 5th for Holy and Larry O'connell scored the 7th as even remains a complete mystery.

  • @opera123able Rewatched R8 and still give it to Holyfield. Really, a coasting round for Lewis. Holyfield scored a lot of points early with body shots and a few head shots, then Lewis came back partially, and finally there was some back and forth, which was about even. Biggest shot was landed by Lewis but it did not debilitate Holyfield so it had to be scored as just another shot. Overall, Holyfield outscored Lewis in R8. Re: William's R5 score, in a later hearing she admitted she made a mistake.

  • @musiclover59

Ok, your entitled to your opinion and I agreed with pretty much the rest of your scorecard. I personally still think Lewis clearly won round 8 and so did Harold Lederman, Glenn Mccory and Ian Darke, although all the judges gave it for Holy(?)

Eugenia Williams also gave round 4 to Holy, aswell as rds 5 & 8, so for me she made 3 clear mistakes which is unacceptable. Larry O'Connell the same,he gave rds 6 and 8 for Holy and round 7 even, totally incompetant to make that many errors

  • @opera123able I read that Holyfield's promoter Don King paid William's salary and expenses so there was a conflict of interest. I score R4-R7 all easily for Lewis. In R4, Holy was not that active and Lewis had some good left jabs and a couple of combos to the head. R5 was almost dominant for Lewis as he had Holy hurt. Holy made R6 close in the first 2 min but Lewis took charge after that. In R7, Lewis hurt Holy with a sneaky right after a break early on and dominated in the last 90 sec.

  • @musiclover59 Your analysis of R4-R7 is exactly how I saw it round by round, and thats where the real conflict lay on the Judges scorecards. Stanley Christodolou (who scored it 116-113 for Lewis) gave those 4 consecutive rounds for Lewis, + 1,2 &12.

Its suggested somtimes judges will score later rounds in a fight for the boxer who is clearly losing to even things up a bit. None of the 3 judges awarded any rounds for Lewis from rounds 8 to 11. Do you think that there was a bit of that going on?

  • @opera123able I didn't give rounds 8-11 for Lewis either, so I saw that portion the same way as the judges. Every other round I gave to Lewis, who won this fight easily. As for judging in boxing, it's at best highly subjective, as Howard Cosell once said, and at its worst dishonest (e.g., Roy Jones Jr vs Park Si-Hun). I think, for this fight, the powers that be wanted a good outcome for Holyfield, who meant big dollars for the sport, and this may have been on the minds of two of the judges.

  • @musiclover59 Maybe your right - my instinct though is that basically judges Williams and O'Connell are just incompetetant judges.

My honest view of this fight is that Lewis VERY obviousley won R's 1,2,5,7 & 12, Lewis fairly clearly won R's 4,6 & 8. Holyfield fairly clearly won R 10, Holyfield shaded round 3 (although very close) and the reality is that rounds 9 & 11 were exceptionally close, text book even rounds. 118-112 for Lewis.

O'Connell said after the fight that he made a mistake.

  • Lennox "The Vulture" Lewis: career breakdown

Here are Lennox Lewis' most difficult opponents:

Evander Holyfield - Lennox cleverly waited until Holyfield was 37 years old to finally muster up the courage to fight him. Holyfield had already once retired with a congenital heart defect and looked a shadow of his late 90's-Early 90's prime. After Holyfield winning a controversial decision against Vaughn Bean in 1998, Lennox Lewis realised this was the "perfect moment" to face Evander Holyfield

  • @JoeCalzagheTheCoward you are the bigggest loser i know, evry single Lennox Lewis video i see you chatting shit, you dont know anything about boxing you prick, americcans didnt like lewis and didnt get the respect he deserved because he was british

  • @georgesullivansparks Monday, 19 November, 2001, 09:36 GMT

    Lewis: Good but not great

yet to meet another ring legend at the peak of his power - the win against Holyfield came too late in both men's careers.

    Lower tier

Five years after he retires, however, his name will fall from boxing's highest order.

Lewis will join a lower tier of very good champions who were never truly great.

    (c) BBC - BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION

  • You should have uploaded the decision part, that's the only reason I went into this video :)

  • Lewis won that fight.

  • Lewis didn't fight the Tyson of the 90's but a dowhill one .

  • @Garrikpz tyson of the late 80s was even better, 87 or so.

  • Irritated Lennox Lewis tackles Tyson question

    By CLIFTON DOWELL

    NandoMedia SportServer

Today's Tyson is no longer the Tyson of legend after being beaten twice by Evander Holyfield. And after the second Holyfield bout-went downhill

"Tyson's last few have basically been traveling circus shows," Lewis said. "I understand that he still has a lot of fans out there, but they're fans that look at him when Tyson was Tyson. The Tyson of today is a different man."

    LENNOX LEWIS = COWARD

  • @JoeCalzagheTheCoward Eh? Looks like the only thing you did was highlight a point Lewis made quite accurately. Bravo, loser.

  • i had lennox 8 rounds to 4

  • Lennox "The Vulture" Lewis: career breakdown

    Lennox Lewis' most difficult opponents:

Tony Tucker - Lennox waited until Tony was 35 years old, fat and addicted to cocaine, and beat him 116-112. To put this into perspective, less than 2 yrs later Bruce Seldon ko'd him in 7 rnds and in Herbie Hide in 2

Andrew Golota - A bum with no good wins on his resume

Shannon Briggs - This guy has nothing on his resume. He even needed a gift from the judges to beat a 47 year-old Geroge Foreman

  • and holyfield was soo much older but .. i like lewis

  • 3:32 nice little tap on the arse from the ref to Holyfield..."good game"

  • lewis has a better chin than given credit for

  • So who the fuck won the match?????????????

  • @SexyTannedGuy it was a draw

  • @lfc4lfe2009

It was called a draw, but it was an absolute travesty, and the worst display of boxing judging ever, from Eugenia WIlliams and Larry O'Connell. Even Stanley Christodulou was generous to Holyfield scoring it 116-113 (for Lewis). There is NO WAY Holyfield deserved more than 4 rounds - and to give him 4 was generous.

  • @opera123able i know thats what i just said your telling the one person explain it to SEXYTANNEDGUY

  • @lfc4lfe2009

I just have - out of interest how did you score the 2 Lennox v Evander fights round by round?

  • @opera123able is this some sort of test because i dont like to be belittled if i get it wrong

  • @lfc4lfe2009

LOL - no I promise that whatever you come back with I wont 'belittle'.

  • @opera123able it doens't matter what i think the score was they called it a draw i thought lewis won nothing aint gonna change what happened happened he won in the rematch though thats what counts

  • @lfc4lfe2009

Yep thats all true - I was just curious what you thought because the whole system of judging boxing matches came under scrutiny back then, and it still hasn't improved.

If your not interested in analysing it thats fine.

  • @SexyTannedGuy

If your asking who won this match above, I think it was obvious enough that Lennox won it clearly.

The ONLY clear cut round Holyfied won was round 10.

Rounds 3 & 6 were fairly close, with Holy landing the better shots in round 3, but Lennox doing a bit more in round 6.

However, Lennox clearly did enough to win rounds 4 & 8, and won rounds 1,2,5,7 & 12 emphatically. For me Lennox won 118-112, and no decent judge could score it closer than 116-112 or 117-113 in Lewis's favour

  • I'm a huge Holyfield fan and I'm not gonna lie but I think Lennox Lewis was robbed in this fight which is one of the main reasons why this great sport is becoming ruined also because of crooked promoters like Don King.

  • as for lewis vs a prime tyson, i would probably still put my bet on tyson. when mike was younger he was a much smarter boxer, following cus de mato's instruction of hit and not get hit. lennox know how to use his jab very effectively, but jabbing tyson in his early years was dangerous. i felt that tyson was quick enough to avoid lennox's jab and quickly return with a much powerful blow. but this is just my opinion, i could be wrong.

  • what a great fight. i got lewis winning 8 rounds vs holyfield 4. 1 L 2 L 3 H 4 H 5 L 6 H 7 L 8 L 9 L 10 H 11 L 12 L
  • @abcmaya

    I respect your viewpoint and I think that 116-112 for Lewis as an overall score is ok. Its interesting though, because your scorecard does have differences to mine, i.e = (1L) 2L (3Even) 4L (5L) 6L (7L) 8L (9Even) 10H (11H) 12L = 118 - 112 for Lewis

You've given rounds 4 & 6 for Holy, but I had Lewis clearly winning round 4, and doing a bit more in round 6.

I've given round 11 to Holyfield out of mercy, in reality it looked very even to me

I would be interested to hear your views

  • i never saw this fight back then, but i remember people said the same thing you said, that the fight is very even also. for some reason i didnt see it that way. maybe im being bias because i feel that lewis is the smartest boxer ever, (him and floyd). lennox is there to win, no matter what it takes, without being careless.

  • @abcmaya

I think you need to read my comments again! I'm saying that Lewis WON the fight 118 to 112, i.e. very easily he won this fight as well as the rematch.

What people were saying back then was that it was that the fact that 2 of the judges failed to score it in Lewis's favour was the biggest travesty in World Boxing ever.

I was surprised that you scored rounds 4 nad 6 for HOLYFIELD, when I gave these 2 to Lewis.

  • @opera123able o crap youre right... i had so many windows open that i thought i was reading yours. sorry about that. but yeah i saw the comment you put about the differences. yeah... i thought that was very interesting.

  • whatever the result these are two great men on n off the ring my hat off to both but as i live in england its Lewis i wanted naturally n Lewis made us ALL proud when he met tyson

  • @polygamous1 Lewis Trainer Disses Tyson June 6, 2002 | TIM DAHLBERG, AP Boxing Writer

TUNICA, Miss. (AP) _ If this were the Mike Tyson of years ago, Emanuel Steward might be a little more worried.

Steward, who trains Lennox Lewis, thinks Tyson is just a shell of the fighter he once was.

"Everyone is holding onto that image of Mike Tyson from 10 to 12 years ago," Steward said. "That Mike Tyson is gone."

    PROUD???? LOL WHY????

IN 2002 TYSON WAS A WASHED UP DRUG ADDICT...ASK DANNY WILLIAMS!!

  • Holyfield won this fight.....it was back n forth the entire fight, but the entire fight holyfield brought the fight and in close rounds the guy that brings the fight wins the round, and that is why holyfield won the decision, anybody that disagrees is just a britt lover and not realistice....holyfield won get over it!!

  • LEWIS WARNED: THIS IS FOR REAL.

    Sport

    Author: Dillon, John

    Publication: The Mirror

    Date: Sep 25, 1998

LENNOX Lewis was reminded here last night of the harsh truth that he has waded to the top of the world through a pile of washed up drunks and junkies.

"Lionel Butler was on drugs, Oliver McCall was in and out of rehabilitation with drug and booze problems and Tommy Morrison went on drinking binges before the fight," said Steward.

LENNOX LEWIS = FIGHTER OF WASHED UP HAS-BEENS

  • @JoeCalzagheTheCoward You are do stupid.

  • @JoeCalzagheTheCoward ahaha you made a new accout you still giving you own comment the thumbs up? you dont need to worry about this faggot he dont know shit about boxing. you must be a dumbass to believe everything you read from newspapers. still ducking questions too i bet the sign of a REAL coward!

TYSON = WASHED UP 4 YEARS, ALCOHOL + DRUG ABUSE

  • Hahahahaha while I admit lewis deserved to win this fight, he got carma coming to him for his future bullshit, like Vitali vs Lewis. Fight should have went to Vitali, but lewis got it gave to him!

  • I thought Holyfield won Lewis spent most his time counterpunching and running I always favor the agresser..

  • @remstyle Holyfield battered him, especially in the rematch. Lewis was a typical coward, just waiting for fighters to get washed up, prime Holyfield graveyards this bum.

  • @XavierMarciano Even the commentators said that Lewis had gone to sleep, neither man dominated the fight outright. I hate a draw but to call Lewis the winner is unconvincing, and the padding over all of Lewis' midsection? I mean part of the tactic with a larger fighter like that is going to be to take out his legs, any strike by Holyfield would have been totally ineffective with that on, never should have been allowed.

  • @MrBigolnuts Excellent comment, Lewis should of been told to readjust his padding or be disqualified. No different than loaded gloves, surprised Don Turner didn't protest. Naazim Richardson surely would have.

  • LENNOX LEWIS = SPONGE CAKE CHINNED COWARD WHO IMPERSONATED A BOXER

LENNOX LEWIS'S MOTHER = A CARBON COPY OF AN ACTOR FROM PLANET OF THE APES

  • Embarrassment to the sport. I can't believe the judges would do that to a man who busted his ass and rightfully earned the win. Shame on them.

  • @FSMNoodlyAppendage Who u talkin about........John Ruiz?? haha

COWARD Lennox Lewis only fought HAS BEENS!

  • I love Holyfield, and while I respect Lewis, I'm no fan of his. That said, the only thing that's worse than seeing Lewis beat my hero is Holyfield needing a botched decision to squirm out of a loss. But hey, at least Lewis got a second chance... that doesn't usually happen.

  • @93stormer Shame....Holyfield murdered Lewis in the rematch.....and he was like a DECADE out of his PRIME too!

  • While I felt lennox won the fight, he didn't clearly win it. He felt he had won it outright. Fact of the matter is he was on holyfields hometurf and he should have been pressing the action if he wanted a decisive win. There are way too many rounds here where he is just coasting! In many of these rounds its easy to see how an american judge could vote in favour of the american fighter. Lennox coasted some of the early rounds and he clearly coasted 9, 10, 11. Champions don't coast, they fight hard

  • @XavierMarciano

oh come man, holyfield only won 2 or 3 rounds that night. lewis had him IN TROUBLE round 5, and than again in round 7. Holyfield only gave lewis a problems in round 3.

Holyfield vs Lewis 1 was a just a sparing for lewis. Rematch was close.

  • @5AR1000 Hey I'm not denying lennox won the fight, I was just pointing out there is a considerable number of rounds where he is not doing enough, factoring in he is on holyfields hometurf and in front of holyfield fans. He is in a massive fight, he should have made more of an effort and left no doubt. But yes he was robbed. But I wouldn't call it lennox's best fight by any stretch of the imagination.

  • Why does Lewis have that padding that goes up to his neck. Cant even get him in the body. Cheating ass mofo!

  • @sweettats602 because holyfields wasnt high either...lmao

  • Its interesting to look at the judges scorecards of a fight like this, and then watch it to see how they faired.

Eugenia WIlliams gave rounds 4 & 5 for holy whilst the other 2 judges gave those for Lewis. Likewise Larry O'connor has given round 6 to Holy and 7 as even, when the other 2 gave them for Lewis, and they were more accurate I think.

  • no lennox lewis is jamaican its just that he was born in england

  • Holyfield was robbed.

  • LENNOX LEWIS retired because he didn’t think MUHAMMAD ALI will fight him to prove hia “greatness”. He could get a ready job as a COMEDIAN! The COWARD WAITED until 1996 to call out MIKE TYSON who had only fought 4 TIMES in 9 YEARS and SMOKED more DOPE than CHEECH + CHONG! The COWARD can’t even beat a POST HEART ATTACK, RUIZ ERA PENSIONER called EVANDER HOLYFIELD so EXPERTS are not surprised at the NEWS of LENNOX LEWIS’S RETIREMENT due to lack of action with the other PENSIONER MUHAMMAD ALI!

  • lewis shouldnt be a boxer.. he has no footwork and he just SUCKS

  • @BeyondDestiny You're a moron.

  • @jubilantjam agree lol

  • @BeyondDestiny Lol faggot.

  • wow and people say klitschko fights are boring..

  • @HigherPoker Guess who I am HigherPoker.I am HighestPoker this means I am better than you now eat shit and die.I said Tyson is more enjoyable. And be sure that Tyson would knock them out in the 1st round in his prime.

  • This is an example of how Emanuel Stewart showed Lennox Lewis how to lean and wrestle his opponent when he is trouble and he has trained Wladimir and the sequel continues grabbing, holding, wrestling, and pushing down your opponent for lack of condition or boxing skills. What a sad state boxing has become. Where is Thomas Hearns, Sugar ray Leaonard, Marvin Haglar, Joe Frazier. Boxing isn't the WWF it is boxing!! Now we have the Klischkos wrestlers pretending to box !! Excuse we while I puke !!

  • @smokeyvelvet42 Word!

  • Famous and big names like Holyfield and Lewis and I couldnt watch all this match because I got bored.Only Tyson can hold you breathless.Tyson is the most enjoyable boxer off all time.Fuck Ali,fuck everyone.Tyson is the man!

  • @xNoobFromHell Tyson got hammered by Holyfield and Lewis haha.

  • Holyfield loves to fight.

    Classic Evander.

  • Holyfield loves to fight.

  • Jamaican not english...

  • lennox is english.......born in england

  • @HermanTheNinja no he's not .. english people are white .. he's some black guy born in england

  • @steelermia Smiles...you are correct in the "oldskool" mannar that english & also british people are white but i was working with an asian guy a lil back.....3rd generation from india & he was pissed off about all the poles & eastern europeans coming over here....there is a paradox here of true-blood englishmen....& thos born 2nd & 3rd generation who are proud to be british & embrace british culture & way of life

  • @steelermia Centuries past englands been invaded so many times........i dont mind what color anyone is black brown green or blue as long as the respect our culture, history, tradition & way of life......cuz ultimately thats what makes you british.... & english.....................if we dont kill ourselves then cenuries to come we will be considering inter species compatability & mixing the human gene-pool with others.....

  • @HermanTheNinja the problem is that they don't respect it .. look at the muslims trying to implement sharia law and demanding things in england .. their way of life is nothing white except for leeching and taking from whites .. can you imagine whites protesting in saudi arabia over 'white rights' or 'christian rights' like muslims do in england .. they'd get lined up and shot .. but in england and any other white country, their little demonstrations are celebrated ..

  • @HermanTheNinja .. whites have been utterly emasculated .. I suspect by who .. hopefully this changes

  • They were amazing fighters.

  • The commentator said about something for Britain on the end of the fight,,, but Lennox had no relation to Britain in his boxing carrier what so ever.........(he only born in England)....Britain needs to get out some own boxer on his own!!!

  • @MrCsabaBalogh They have David -Gay- Haye hhhhhhhhhahaaaaaaaahahahaha

  • HES ENGLISH YOU TIT

  • @natebooce ....born in england....from jamaican parents....boxing for canada as amateur......later....as Pro he had trained only in Canada and the United States and already lived half his life in North America...you ugly bubbly..

  • @MrCsabaBalogh still hes english.....

  • @natebooce That doesn't make you any better.

  • @Beastie06 never implied it did, but hes english not canadian not from mars, does that bother you?

  • @natebooce As a boxing fan I couldn't care less where he is from. But since you are stressing the fact that "HES ENGLISH YOU TIT", it seems to me it's very important to you where he is from.

  • Had it 116-113 (7 Lewis, 4 Holyfield and 1 even). I've seen much worst robberies in boxing, like Marquez-Pacquiao I and II, Morales-Barrera I, Martinez-Cintron or recently Matthysse-Alexander and Matthysse-Judah. At least it was a draw and not a Holyfield victory.

  • @Koukinaba The same judge who gave this fight to Holyfield must have also been on the jury that aquitted Casey Anthony

  • @willisapril It was a woman I think, and it was also her last important fight as a judge, apart from Holyfield-Mercer and Mares-Perez maybe. "Professional" judges...

I think this decision weighted a lot in the rematch on the shoulders of the judges, when they gave Lewis an easy decision win in a very close match.

  • So according Jasminbaum. Lewis never really beat Holyfield and he never beat Vlad! How is life, in denial land?!

  • Holly was better. He is the best

  • lennox lewis was one of the greatest champs if not the best, he went over to the US & got mugged off so many times but didnt phase him, even against tyson the ref was the most biased ref iv ever seen in a boxing match but he still won, he took a beating against vitali but battled through & won.

  • btw BOTH fights of Holyfied and lewis should have been a Tie!!

  • @Jasminbaum 3 Judges did score the fight unanimously (115-113, 116-112 & 117-111) all in favour of Lewis who became undisputed heavyweight champion of the World. You clearly know nothing of boxing. Listen to George Foreman who said Lewis was the greatest champion ever.

  • @MrSmidgie

lol i know that, whats up with you listening to the media?? you have no idea, but i guess george foreman is god,and knows everything

  • @Jasminbaum you're an idiot

  • @MrSmidgie this is DRAW you stupid cunt.

  • @TSOKES silly boy, listen to the american commentator, 'LEWIS WAS ROBBED'0

  • @MrSmidgie I don't give a fuck for the commentator you silly gay, I'm telling you the final result.

    D-R-A-W.

Ask the commentator abt the fight Lewis-Mercer. How MERCER WAS ROBBED there. Shhhh be quiet. This is a DRAW end of story.

  • HOLFEILD JUST STOPPED JABBING!!!!!! IT WAS WORKING FOR HIM!!!!

  • hollyfield... 1,2,headbutt,1,1,headbutt,headbutt, bodyblow, bodyblow

Lewsis... 1,2,1...1,lean on hollyfield, 1,5,1... lean on hollyfield whispers ps... i'm wearing body armor.

  • either of these guys then would have crushed either of the Klitchkos in the early rounds.

  • @neilsdunn lennox already fought vitali klitschko! and beat him in the 6th!

  • @dronikos Lewis is a pussy. Klitschko was raping him in that fight so lewis gave him a cheap shot. then time for there rematch he fuckin retired. haha. Holyfield is way better than him too. look at this his body protection goes up to his chest. Holyfield is best a body shots. and holyfield is way past his prime and still has way more endurance look how tired lewis is. all he is is big........ a big pussy

  • @dronikos

WTF ARE YOU TALKIN BOUT?? VITALI RAPED HIM,HE WAS IN FRONT ON EVERY JUDGES PAPER...

  • @Jasminbaum vitali still lost in the sixth because he was to hurt to fight anymore, its a fact!

  • @dronikos

lol he wanted to keep fighting,he was feeling okay!

  • @neilsdunn

LOL VITALI RAPED LEWIS,CHECK OUT THE FIGHT IN 03,LEWIS GOT BOEED

  • @Jasminbaum sorry but who won?

  • @SilverLiningVideos

oh they STOPPED the fight, altough Klitscko was in front 4-2 after 6 rounds on every judges paper..lewis was a lucky winner,he got boed, vitali celebrated, check out the interview after the match with lewis and this larry guy..

  • I miss these days of boxing, Theres no good heavy weights anymore.

  • @joey318 agreed

  • @joey318 It's called basketball, football and billion dollar revenue. Notice how when football is locked out - THEN they go boxing and mma. AND excel.

  • cant fucking see shit on the score card

  • You guys are crazy. This was a close fight. Holyfield definitely did not get his ass beat.

  • @hugogirardisking I'm with you on that one.

  • @dposey38 Yeah, I'm not saying Holyfield won the fight, but it's not like he was completely uncompetitive or something.

  • @hugogirardisking he definetly didnt win either

  • @thadinininon No, I don't think he did. But he was in the fight all the way.

  • @hugogirardisking only thing in the fight was his big ass head rofl headbuttin da shit outta everything... thts why tyson bit cuz ear.

  • what a fucking moron Mercante Jr is

  • Yeah, Lewis won the fight. It shouldn't have been a draw, but give Lewis a split decision so that Holyfield can have some credit for staying up.

  • Holyfield got his ass beat in that fight no way in hell that was a draw.

After Vaughn Bean lasted 12 rounds against Evander Holyfield in their heavyweight championship fight last week, Lennox Lewis complained that Holyfield looked like a has-been.

    LOOOOOOOOOL

  • Tyson and Holyfield... both those guys were way past there primes. Lewis avoided both of them like the plague. Tyson in his prime would have knocked out Lennox(glass jaw)Lewis out in the 2 nd round. And Holyfield in his prime would have also knocked down Lewis in about the 8th or 9th round. Look, Lewis had one good fight, and that was against Razor Ruddock. Besides that, he fought fighters past their primes and got knocked out by two unknowns. He will not go down as a great Heavyweight.

  • Comment removed

  • @J:Lewis avoided Tyson? Early Tyson opponents were hand-picked. There was no % in fighting a legit threat like Lewis. Prime Tyson was the champ!: HE chose who to fight , not his opponents. Lewis fought Tyson as soon as Tyson was willing. Holy won 5 straight before his D & L to Lewis. His only Ls were to Michael Moorer, (on Moorer's best day), & the then-incredible Riddick Bowe. It could be just as strongly argued that Lewis -caused- the end of Holy's prime.

  • @lazur1

The Klitschko's would arrange funeral services for Holyfield

Holyfield (43-10-2, 28 KOs), whose been more spent as a prizefighter than Paris Hilton's bed since he slithered passed a bum named Vaughn Bean by a controversial unanimous decision in September 1998, was once a truly great pugilist to be admired.

    LOOOOOOOOOOL!!

EVEN THE BUM VAUGHN BEAN BATTERED OLD MAN HOLYFIELD IN 1998!!!

    KEEP TALKING IDIOT

  • @JoeCalzagheTheCoward So who should Lewis have fought during his reign?

  • @JoeCalzagheTheCoward Sorry, I didn't realize that this was a name-calling contest; You win that one.

  • Don King deserves to be slowly tortured to death.

  • @SoulfulLova. You think Lewis cheated? Why don't you go and tell him that

  • The filthy yanks steal yet another win. Cheating fuckers. Never trust the yanks.

  • Lewis is great but he wasn't this type of fighter when he was younger and in my opinoin he wouldve gotten beat by Holyfield and Tyson. When he got older is when he really perfected his style. He would stand more, it seems to me, inside with his opponents when he was younger and would back pedal straight back no lateral movment.. This kind of attitude wouldve gotten him soundly beaten by these two fighters. When he got older he just held and used his jab and feet to move away and inflict damage.

  • Why the hell isn't the rip off decision incuded here?

  • I would say that Lewis VERY obviousley won rounds 1, 2, 5, 7 & 12, was the clear cut winner of rounds 4 & 6, and marginal winner of round 8. I would say that round 9 and round 11 looked very even much rounds to me, and rounds 3 & 10 were clear cut rounds for Holyfield. My score would therefore be 118 to 112 for Lewis. The closest you could feasably score the fight would be 116 to 113 to Lewis, which is how one Judge saw it, i.e. 4 rounds Maximum to Holyfield, 7 rounds Minimum to Lewis.

  • the more agressive fighter gets points

  • that is when u let women be judge !!!!

  • @IvanhoeCRO iindeed

  • @IvanhoeCRO NOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • İ hate this arogant madafacka lewis

  • Everyone knows lennox won this fight. I watched it in a flat in Clapham, London with about 30 people all cheering a big win about 4am in the morning. We knew what really happened and Lennox went on to make it true. Biggest dissapointment of my life when the 'judges' did that. Made me doubt America integrity and have done ever since.

  • @oohmesides haha really? you doubt America over a boxing match?? for fuck sakes dude...haha

  • Here's the big question: did Holyfield do enough to win?

If the answer is "obviously not", then it can't have been a Holyfield win and it can't have been a draw. So Lewis MUST have won.

  • US judges look for aggression and excitement, if Lewis had of went for it when he had him on the ropes there would be no doubt but he didnt the commentaters even said Stewart was banging on the ring for him yo go for it, Lewis was the away fighter you have to do more.

  • Ass clap at 3:32

  • Lewis did not coast the last four rounds. He coasted rounds nine and ten. He dominated the last two rounds which should've sealed the deal. Fuck Don King, slimy scumbag piece of shit.

  • @DarKstarnosa151 watch the first oliver mcCall fight, the first rahman fight, the mercer fight, and the Klitscho fight and find out. lol

  • another example of a boxer who builds up a lead then tries to coast to a decision by not fighting the last four rounds very much like Del La Hoya vs Mayweather. When will boxers quit trying to be judges and fight twelve hard rounds?

  • @fadethetrade dont forget to brush your teeth with tysons cock before you go to bed you cluelss cunt

  • Holyfield was actually a better fighter in the mid to late 90's then in the late 80's to early 90's.But the 1988 tyson beats any year holyfield.

  • lewis didn't do enough to win. fact.

  • @alexjaep yes he did. holyfeild didn't do enough for a draw. fact. he knew it to. look at him after the fight.

  • @evol121 so true. but lewis knew he was in a hostile ring. i feel he should have made the fight beyond doubt his. out of subject, will Haybe retire without a Klitschko fight?

  • @alexjaep i agree he played judge coasted the last four rounds and it bit him in the ass. His doing not the judges.
