  • I'm gonna get my triops eggs on Dec.16,2011!I would need help... :3

  • what do u feed them?

  • @chewongboy catfish pellets are good

  • For those that keep posting this stuff, the tank is not dirty. A certain amount of algae is unavoidable and does the triops no harm. The detritus at the top of the tank the triops like, it recreates their natural habitat and they will filter through it for food.

  • so how do you keep your tank temp regulated? i just bought some troip eggs to hatch but not sure how to keep it regulated?

  • @2029mom use a desk lamp pointed at the tank, adjust distance and number of hours per day its switched on as needed

  • @Spectre0wns is there anything else i can use i dont have a desk lamp right now

  • @Spectre0wns and when they hatch are they white or black?

  • @2029mom they are kind of white/clear. Depending on the eggs you buy, you might see all kinds of stuff to begin with. After a few days you should notice a triop or two, they will be a distinct shape and move quicker and more deliberate than the rest. They are working their way to the top of the food chain by eating everything else!

  • @Spectre0wns so its been two days and i still havent seen anything! :( hope there going to hatch

  • Dude gotta clean ur tank man flipping ....dirty there gon die if dont clean that tank idk why dont clean ur shitty tank

  • @Venomsnake12345 you're 18 months late, genius

  • So cool! I want some! :)

  • mine wont hatch

  • @hardasrock12 if u want to hatch them try distilled and if u are using that use natural spring water. us a lamp to keep the temp at 22c and thats about it they will hatch in 1-5 days

  • We have those! The are fun. I also think u need to clean your tank!

  • they just look like mini horseshoe crabs

  • Nice, I am also enjoying my triops - its a nice hobby ;)

  • Do they just automatically breed or is there something you need to do so that I won't have to keep buying the eggs lol.

  • @yohiwasupman they lay eggs on their own they dont even need to mate! once they die just dry out the tank but dont clean it then fill it up with water again and just do wat u did to hatch ur first lot and some more should hatch :)
