  • Slick, just plain old slick, congrats man, a great improvement. BTW bj, they do make a swivel head model of recip. saws, 90 degrees either way, I thought everyone knew that. $5.00 says sawzall or milw. steals your idea before you get it patented, maybe even after. Good luck anyway, hope you make a mint with it.

  • I would be a little uneasy using it. If the blade binds up or you slip, or something else happens and your arm is attached to the tool, you could be in a tough situation.

  • hi

its sad to see the negative comments made.... think the amount of good these cordless tools do to the environemnt compared to fossil fuel guzzling tools.... fantastic idea mate

  • totally idiotic, the sawzall is the best as it was invented! stronger motor, OK, better blades, OK, the quick blade exchange, the best invention on the sawzall, anything more, waste and added unnecessary weight!

  • pretty cool modify rig,

  • They invented this thing called a Chainsaw recently. Heard of it? You can operate it with one hand.. and prune trees with it!

  • @jeauba2 Hi jeauba, see this video "The advantages of a Reciprocating Saw over a Chain Saw" - there is no comparing the control and safety of this forearm mount to a chainsaw for the small stuff. Thanks for watching.

  • yesss the point iss the name "How to safely prune with a sawzall, Reciprocating saw" but yet its not a cordless saw wouldnt u agree that it would be 100 time safer if it was cordless

  • safely but yet its not cordlesss ahahah

  • Never posted a reply before but here goes. EaStxVaNxiNc, Cordless Sawzalls have been around for quite some time and work with this just as well. Were you trying to make a point? Thanks, MisterAMuck

  • @EaStxVaNxiNc Hello: The forearm mount for the sawzall is an accessory that will fit any reciprocating saw, corded or cordless. It takes about 3 minutes to install or remove with the three hose clamps. This is obviously a prototype. The finished accessory would be more attractive but this accessory works very well in a lot of situations and actually expands the use and accuracy of the sawzall. Don "the inventor."

  • Is there a website or a way to order this? Very nice idea! I hope you have patents or a company might take the idea from you...good luck!

  • Great idea. Even better if the saw can be rotated 90 degrees so you can cut in a horizontal plane. I have a tree with most branches sticking almost straight up. Would really be great.

  • @bjhennessey Thank you for your comment. It is quite easy to turn it sideways by just turning your arm. The arm hoop rotates so you can support the weight of the saw from either direction. See cutting tile for the latest version. This is the largest saw they make. The accessory will go on any saw, corded or cordless in about three minutes. I do hope to sell the patent or license it for manufacture. Thanks and spread it around. Don

  • @revmuck I think you misunderstood my suggestion. I know you can turn your arm, but now the weight of the saw is lateral to your forearm instead of below it (now your arm is fighting gravity and torque). I imagine that would get very tiring after awhile, espescially against a load, and then you're using your other hand to support the saw again. Could the saw pivot 90 degrees and remain below the forearm? Do they make blades that cut across the vertical plane of the saw?

  • dude that's awesome i think you should prototype and sell them i will buy one, great job

  • hey, this is a great idea, that's true ! you really need a free hand

  • Ilove it ,good idea!!

  • Hello tile guy: If you do tile check out the newest sawzall video titled. Safely cutting tile, slate and overhead. Diamond blade test. Thanks for your comment. Don
