  • my ears!!!!!

  • HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU USE !SPORE! AS A TEST, WHEN THE CARD CAN RUN CRYSIS WARHEAD!!!!

  • is it possible to change the graphics card on macbook pro? And will it improve gaming performance? Coz i have a geforce 9400m and it runs my assasins creed 2 pretty badly. Anyone help?

  • @93badfingers i think you can go to the options in the game menu and change the settings

  • wtf game is that

  • @Jonasbook spore

  • @megamew28 thanks, 2 months xD

  • @macsoftwareforfree

High resolution.....with (most likely) the lowest texture, shadow, AA settings you can get. The 9400/9600 are fucking awful graphics cards.

  • I'm sorry, it's not true. 3D 'GAMES' (your is a 'game' :-) on nVidia 9400M work crappy, expecially on an iMac

  • dude i have a xps m170, nividia geforce go 7800 gtx graphics card and 2 gbs of ram and 100 gb harddrive and i can spore on high graphics and mw2 and battlefield 2 just fine on high graphics no lagging or anything

  • will this run star craft 2?

  • This video should not have been posted. The black flashes are absurd.

  • How much is it?

  • wow, do not use this game for a test, it has horrible graphics

  • It's a chugger on most hardware, as well. Especially when the shadows are on high.

  • @Shp00N READ THE FUCKING DESCRIPTION

  • Wich MacBook Pro, and what are the settings set to?

  • macbooks pro 13 inch with 2.26 ghz processor and 2 gigs ram running max game settings

  • @applehowto

    And it runs so good???

    That's amazing!! :-D

  • for all of those who shit on mac

if you want to play games, BUY A CONSOLE, you cheaps

  • That's a great idea, except gaming is much cheaper on a mac or pc. Its also more effective. Also, since macs now have intel parts and have bootcamp, you can dual boot mac os with a windows os. I am currently on 7 and it runs better than on a pc. Because of the extra, higher speed DDR3, and the high FSB of a mac, a 9400m graphics card can even run games like call of duty modern warfare 2. Ask me for proof.

  • rdanielbautista, I ask you this, would you rather spend around $100 for an os, or over 400 for a console with a couple games? Most people even have an extra windows OS sitting at home!

  • How can anyone expect to play games on macbook? OMG

  • Go to SoldierKnowsBest on YouTube. He's got videos of himself playing Crysis on a MacBook. Successfully. Isn't that what all of you gauge PC strength by?

  • Pretty shit card seen as macs cost more then PC, my laptop was cheaper then ur mac and it can play crysis on med, urs judging by the video would do bad on low....:/

  • Not everyone buys Macs to play games. I'm so sick of seeing everyone judge a computer by how well it plays Crysis.

  • well its not all about judging how well it can play crysis, its judging how much much stress the computer can take.

  • EXACTLY. "Crysis this" "Crysis that"... pisses me off.

  • @fiddy187 umm but even the basic MacBook can play crysis on high I assume the Mac mini could even play crysis quite well, so long as you get the 2.53Ghz model with more video memory

  • the price to proformance (Sorry for the spelling lol) isn't to great if you compare it to a PC, Yes Macs do look alot nicer then PC's do normaly but there are loads of faults on a mac (Im not saying PC's dont have any) one of which being that your paying a lot of money for something that doesn't have a great GFX card in it, where as in a PC you can buy or make one better for the same price as a Mac or less...I'm not a hater on Mac's it's just what i think myself

  • @macnerd93

Actually, if you look at the specs and the numbers and stop being such a Mac FANBOY, you will realize that even the $2499 MacBook Pro has basically the same specs as the $1149 Asus G72GX.

So unless you want to spend more than double for no reason, a MacBook is just stupid. And If you buy the $1199 MacBook you are getting crap.

There is absolutely no way whatsoever that you can play Crysis on High on a MacBook that costs less than $2499!!!

Come on people, just look at the numbers!

  • @crazycampkid1992 well my macbook pro has 8GB RAM, 500GB Hard Drive & a 2.53Ghz C2D, and for 1,149 does the Asus crap come with.. unibody carved aluminium shell a backlit keyboard with ambient light sensor L.E.D display DDR3 memory FireWire 800 SD Card Slot Multi Touch glass trackpad 7-hour battery slot load optical drive my ansdwer is no it won't maybe two of them things if your lucky.
  • Actually, I can play pretty much any game. Im sorry if you think that its important to spend a bajillion dollars for the same thing.

and actually douchebag, my Asus has an sd card slot and a firewire port and a multitouch pad. and i upgraded my memory to DDR3 for $50 bitch.

Plus I can overclock to 2.8GHz without voiding my warranty.

  • LOL $50 i'd hate to see what type of memory it is, even the very cheapest of DDR3 memory at the moment is quite pricy its about $120 for a 2GB DDR3 stick. It cost me $500 using crucial upgrades. The only asus i know of with a multi touch trackpad is there extremely low budget eePC and its not really in the same league as Apple's glass trackpads . I assume your case is made from cheap plastic

  • I own 7 macs and would just about pay anything as long as it didn't have windows as the main OS on it :P Windows is incompatible for the things i mainly do on my macs

  • Oh, I didnt realize gay porn was only for Macs. And if Macs are so great why do you have 7?!?

  • and!!! do you have a 17" screen? can you connect to a 50"LED tv? I dont think so so STFU!!!

  • i could very easily connect to a 50'' television, we have a 52'' Samsung plasma in the lounge and using the mini display-DVI connector it plugs in it just fine at full resolution, I have no as to why you thought a mac couldn't do that, but your very misinformed

  • so then does your asus come with

    aluminium enclosure

    7- hour battery life

    backlit keyboard

    LED display

    ambient light sensor

    firewire 800, not firewire 400

my answer was correct it doesn't come with all the features the mac has, then you have to spend money to get software for the PC to have similar functions to iLife. and then the ultimate version of Windows. In a recent survey Aus came in second to Apple in customer satisfaction Apple was 85%, Asus a miserable 65%

  • no, i dont have those things, they're not worth an extra $1000 to me. And the only reason apples customer satisfaction is so high is because people spend so much money theyre embarrassed to admit that they are unsatisfied.

And even at full resolution connected to an external display, if you dont use an HDMI cable you lose a lot of quality. But all macs GPUs are terrible anyway, so i guess youre right that you dont need an HDMI cable

  • DVI carries a HDMI signal so why would it lose resolution lol

  • i have 7 because A. i can afford it & B. They are all very different machines, I own 3 different mac minis, an eMac, a Power Mac G4, MacBook white & my latest purchase a MacBook Pro it rules. oh trying to insult me and failing miserably, because you don't know what else to says LOL

  • Well why didnt you just buy 1 good laptop and 1 good desktop? Or maybe thats what you planned to do but they kept breaking on you? And lol, I was joking with the curses, they weren't serious insults. And yea, my case is made of plastic. So?

  • Oh, and my RAM upgrade was so cheap because I got it installed before I bought my computer

  • erm no I bought them at all different years, I got the Power Mac back in 2000, the eMac in 2005, my first intel mac mini in 2006, my second mac mini in 2007 and my third in jan 2008, my white macbook early 2008. I could easily if i sold my systems buy a mac pro, but i like having a range of macs from different ages, makes the setup look great. None have my macs have ever broke nor have they had any issues either

  • and i guess youve never had a virus either right? BULL. i know for a fact that Macs are magnets for trojans.

  • LOL your nuts, you've got more chance of winning the lottery that worrying about trojans on the mac platform. Never had any issue on any of my macs. LOL i work at an Apple dealer and come to think of it i've worked there for a year and half and I've never heard anyone come in because they think they have a virus/trojan LOL, with the PC bit of the store its average 2-3 times a day

  • just because you cant detect a trojan on a mac doesnt mean theyre not there. in one of the data security courses that i took last year we had an assignment to create a trojan and plant it in a classmates computer to obtain a secret code they had. i was assigned to someone who used a macbook pro and i got their code. btw, the professor was fired right after the semester ended lmao

  • that was last year, with most likely a non-up to date version of Mac OS X Leopard which yes for about a week or so before Apple amended it did have a security flaw before a system update came out

  • i do recall that with Norton anti virus back the other month it listed the current mac threats. It listed 10 total threats one of which was a PC virus for some reason as it ended in .exe so that would have had no effect on the mac. The risk issue was at V-Low and low. I tried it on the PC side it found over 150,000 Trojans and it was still scanning. I'm pretty sure windows is more virus and trojan prone that a mac lol

  • is a pc more vulnerable or is it just that Macs only make up 20% of the computer market? if you were a hacker, which group would you go after? 80% or 20%. if/when Mac sales match PC sales then the virus count will match as well

  • yes I assume it would go up, but I like Apple like this, it keeps them making better and better products and since the majority of people buy PC's it also makes the mac just that little bit more unique. With Microsoft they can make any crap and sell it they don't really need to try, because some people would just have to buy it, because they see no other alternative.

  • @macnerd93 as someone who has owned mac and pc for a long time, i think both have this needless set of fanboys. neither are fantastic, both have some pros and some cons, but that's just it, both have serious CONS. a LOT of mac users are just as guilty as buying macs because they're 'different and cool' and think that makes them superior when in reality neither macs nor pcs deserve such credit when both are full of shit. the common fanboy attitudes for pc and macs is so tiresome, it really is

  • I want Macs to stay where they are at this point because the smaller the community, the better the service, and more people are brought closer together. Also, the smaller the mac community the less, as you pointed out, viruses are out there. This also creates as sense of uniqueness with owning a mac. If Apple continues to expand into a Microsoft like corporation even further I'll be very disappointed. I think Apple's expansion will destroy the mac identity. It'll be just another computer.

  • @nocommayoucantread exactamundo.

  • I just chose to have a lot of computers, because I like it that way. plus there all different specs and all do different tasks around my house. My G4 Power Mac is a RAID sever, one of my mac minis is a media centre and my television with my USB TV tuner card, the other is a server in my closet and one is downstairs connected to the tv for web browsing, my eMac is just used for word and stuff and my macbook is what I use around college for media, photography and graphics class

  • but i bet you dont use any for games, unless of course you like to play games on low specs

  • actually i play MW2, COD4, GTA IV, Sims 3 perfectly fine on medium and high settings. TDU also works good on high, good enough for me since they are really the games i play. I'm more of the creative person in all respects using my imagination to create and edit videos, create photos in photoshop and graphics too.

  • well good for you. i love computer games so for me a Mac just doesnt make sense. to each his own i guess

  • thats what I'm trying to tell you, over half the things I do on my mac are incompatible with windows, thats why I use a mac, because i like the quality and design, and the Mac OS X experience and all the features you gain through hardware & the optimisation of software. I can see we're not going to agree, so you use PC i'll use mac

  • Almost faster then my card x3100 three times:) if 9400m combined with dual core processor will owned all game.

  • funny thing that because when i buy a new mac i'm using my imac mini as a home entertainment system. When pc laptops only seem to last 2-5 years

  • IMO spore has the best EA opening thing haha

  • Whats with the flickering? :/

  • "Sorry if there are black flashes in the video, this is due to my recording software, not the game or the computer."

Not to be a prick, but it's sometimes an idea to read the description. :P

  • cool :)

  • Thinking of getting this in an ASUS, do you like the card? Does it perform well? Also, how much ram do you and how fast is the processor on this comp? For comparisons sake.

  • what's with all of that flickering?

  • bad beasts !!!

  • the white 09 mac has the same grafix

  • thats a cool game. I have the same computer and its great

  • looks amazing ;)
