Good sp but gets a bit boring after a while...

I liked the huuuuge free roam maps though, fighting for your life, being chased and stuff, but the missions were a bit bit the same... kill this guy, blow up that thing....

A good game, but doesn't deserve to be title "Far Cry 2" it has nothing to do with the original and it is made by a different company. Give it a different name like "Savannah", that would be much more apropriate.

Didn't realise it was made by different company. Me an some of the guys reckon The Jackal could actually be Jack Carver from 1, even looks the same...ish, plus it did say "in the book" of farcry 1 Carver was a merc in Africa before farcry 1 took place and he ad to flee to south america R were ever, maybe farcry 2 is a prequal but they havn't said much because they will reveal more in Farcry 3. Of course I could be typing pure bollocks lol...Great games though.

Understand that for consumer marketing purposes, the name had to be something that the public could feel comfortable and familiarized with. I assume the first farcry must have done well, so they wanted to pique the interest of the large crowd that the premier namesake drew.
