if you get some protective gear like a helmet and some pads you can actually do some fighting and dont need to worry so much about serious injury to the face.
Long hair guy, your main flaw is backing up. He always ends up backing you up which can spell defeat easily. That use to be my flaw but I ahve improved. I am sure you ahve improved as well. just saying
@TheUpperClan Much props for positive criticism :) This video IS old yes, and we both have improved...hes gotten alot more agressive. his big problem is hes a defensive fighter and as you state he backs up...and thats easy to do.
that kind of scythe is not a weapon a real battle scythe has the blade more longer and a little less curve and the stick should be curve backwards too and he's using it wrong!

There is no Combat scythe, just as much as there is no true art for it, save the european peasant fighting styles. Its all selfbuilt and honestly this was a trial stage. I have a much more fluent motion with a scythe nowadays compared to this.
@cherokyle Check out dragonslayers 3 and firesword :) Ill try and get some of my peeps back to fight again over the summer when were not busy with college XD

My weapon of choice is actually a saber or cutlass...Historical fencing plus watching videos of things like this, I make my own skills for battles that cross like these.

well useing a traditional scythe yes, but me and my buds have colaberated many times on this scythe in itsself would not be practical with the blade, the blade would be used for parying and finishing up the kill, the staff would best be used to keep distance and for it to be most effective a spike on the end would be used in a spear fasion, The other end a counterweight would be used as a hammer and would be a primary attack weapon, the blade being a followup. stab bash cut

Reminds me of when me and my friend (strangely also named Eric) would spar with weapons. He'd use his giant sword that's like, 4 feet long, and I'd use my scythe, and we'd go on sparring for hours or until one of us said uncle. XD

Take up a couple other martial arts and develop your style through the learning of those. Take and mix the styles then develop them through combat.
