How to Gimp a MK out of his Up "B"

Theres two reasons why this doesn't ACTUALLY work.

1. The metaknight we see in the video isn't doing the shuttle-loop stall correctly. The correct way is to drop and immediately hit Up + B, which sends metaknight grinding against the rim of the stage until it reaches up and automatically grabs the ledge.

In this video, he's doing it wrong, which leaves a gap for pit to grab the ledge first.

2. Metaknight can just swoop low and fly to the other side of the stage before pit can grab the ledge.

of course meta knight can ledge stall that way, but the idea isn't that he is stalling. He's trying to Bup into the character at the ledge in hopes of hitting him. If anything this is showing how to punish someone trying to do such a thing, and yes this does work.

theres at least a second window in there.

The MK will just have to be looking at the screen and have glided before.

I guess in doubles you could have your teammate grab the other edge......perhaps

Or you can just quickly dash for the other ledge. If that happens to M2K once then the next time he will try to go higher so he gets back onto the stage without going to the ledge (which is difficult to do) but then he can be punished very easily! Not very efficient. So it seems M2K would NEVER want to shuttle loop to get back onto the stage as it can get him punished. I'd use a fair for spacing

the shield doesnt have to be a perfect shield so u can hold it for a while.

This is super super risky.

first, if you miss the ledge hug, the mk can grab the ledge let got and reverse SL you to your doom.

second, it may be hard to time the shield.

3. you can only do this If a MK will SL to the ledge instead of just jumping and swatting you away while you attempt this.

will still be trying to make use of this. good stuff
