  • blue is best but pinkerton kicks ass

  • pinkerton is better i think only because gh/rb didnt ruin any of the songs yet

  • @jtothed El Scorcho is in Rb

  • oh god since when?

  • Since about May. I don't mind it. A)I'm a fan of the games and B)Good way to this obscure ass album to the public.

  • WEEZER FUCKING ROCKS,

    FUCKING

    ROCKS.

  • If anyone thinks Pinkerton is lame then you haven't listened to it. not 1 second. It is AWESOME, AWESOME,AWESOME,AWESOME, and KICK ASS

  • ALL WEEZER ALBUMS ARE AWESOME! But I would have to agree.......Blue and Pinkerton are AWESOME.

  • I agree, Blue and pinkerton!

  • maladroit is under-rated but their new album is't that bad. however make believe and red sold out in my opinion. not as bad as green day but hey it did make them a lot more money

  • i totally agree still good just not weezer

  • madadroit is ok and i actually really like make believe but it was the begining of the end. Raditude is horrible though and red album has like 2 songs that i can stand without thinking of some stupid person singing it

  • Pinkerton

    Blue

    Green

    Maladroit

    Raditude

  • Blue

    Green

    Make Believe

    Maldroit

    Red

    Pinkerton

And no idea for Ratitude, but I don't have high hopes.

  • Rock on brothers.

  • My order would have to be:

    Blue

    Pinkerton

    Green

    Raditude(?)

    Maladriot

    Make Believe

    Red

  • Blue

    Pinkerton

    Green

  • Hey Velma, where's the rest of Mystery Inc?

  • their getting high off scooby snacks.... In The Garage

  • Really? I mean we all know that Blue was the best, but I really didnt like Pinkerton at all. More like

    Blue

    Green

    Make Believe

(where I think Raditude is headed)

    Pinkerton

    Red

    Maldaroit

  • pinkerton is superior to blue imo... so much more emotional

  • not sure. both brilliant but agree that pinkerton is great. have to be one of my favourite bands and totally under rated.

  • Agreed, pinkerton is by far their best album. I love all their stuff.

  • Each of their albums is good, even Make Believe and Red have several good songs

  • say what you want Make believe is a good album , as for your opinion . Dont talk about it if you dont like it

  • blue

    pinkerton

    green

    red

    make believe

    maladroit

i know everybody rips on everything after blue and pinkerton, but you cant write the same shit over and over, you gotta do something different, and they did....

  • Maladroit is the worst (of all their albums) that's not saying it's bad, just not their best.

  • Here, here!

  • Awesome video! I love this song

    Azuredreams717, totally agree with you.

Maladroit was more like Weezer's sound only heavier, Red was more or less a newer sound for them.

  • awesome!!! and yes the blue album is the best, end of story.... andy-34 old enough to know!

  • being old doesnt make you knowledgable, it just makes you old.

  • I've got Kitty Pryde.. and Nightcrawler, too!

  • hell yea nightcrawler is the best

  • I fucking love the X-men, so it's awesome to hear this line.

  • i liked all the albums except the red.

  • there needs to be a "burndt Jamb" video

  • agreed

  • Blue album is the best. end of story.

  • haha he messes up! says i write these stupid songs, and write the stupid words!!! still one of my favs =w=

  • beautiful

  • Pinkerton was the best by far, blue was good. I listened to Maladroit and Green but not as much as the first two. Judging by the singles and what I've heard, Make Believe and Red aren't worth listening to.

  • Wooow aren't you "underground"!

  • No I just try to avoid shitty music, that's all.

  • Just because they have successful albums does not make them not worth listening to >>

  • Pinkerton and Blue were the most successful albums. Pinkerton's sales just weren't good off the bat.

  • This guys dead on.

Green was O.K but nothing beats blue and pinkerton. all these kids are probably too young to actually know what those albums are so they defend the shitty stuff so valiantly.

  • im sorry but i disagree a bit, the blue album was actually released half a year before i was born but i still know what the blue album and pinkerton are, and i still think there are some good songs on some of their newer albums

  • both the red and belive albums hvave some wicked tunes...but clearly you havent given the time of day to acknowledge them,,,,

  • everything by weezer is worth listening to

  • thank you

  • Thats because you probably like shitty pop.

  • either that or

you were dropped on your head when you were a mere child

  • Every album has had atleast 5 great songs on it.

  • yeah, blue and pink every song is awesome!!!!

  • agreed

  • "I got Kitty Pryde, and Nightcrawler too, waiting there for me.."

  • they mention KISS members in this song , ace frehley and peter criss

  • 1. Blue

    2. Pinkerton

    3. Make Believe

    4. Red

    5. Green

    6. Maladroid

  • Agreed. Make Believe has some of the best Weezer moments ever. ..Yet it has some pretty terrible ones. But the great parts save the album. Just skip a few tracks and you have a pretty solid album.

  • Yes Make believe had many great songs in it, couple of skippable ones too but I seriously think it's the number three on the greatness scale.

  • best Weezer era. I hate Rivers doesn't plays guitar any more in almost all of the songs live.

  • i just saw him live 3 days ago and he played 90% of the songs, but i agree he should play in all of them :)

  • I like Red better than Make Believe, but just barely.

  • I like them all, but never listened to Maladroit.

  • best albums

    1.blue alum

    2.pinkerton

    3.green

    4.red

  • nah man

    1. pinkerton

    2. blue

    3. maladroit

    4. green

  • 1. Pinkerton

    2. Blue Album

    3. Make Believe

    4. Red Album (Deluxe Edition)

    5. Green Album (crappy solos)

    6. Maladroit (not weezer style)

    7. ???????????

  • Raditude is the next album

  • blue came before pinkerton...both spectacular albums but blue before pink

  • Maladroit isn't Weezer's style but Red is? Fuck you.

  • That's a little dramatic. I think even the bad albums have at least one good song.

  • yeah but it ain't weezer style

  • not equal. blue album was better......

  • Wrong.

  • I think red was complete bullshit. I cannot stand it. "Heart Songs" was the only song on that album that I actually own.

    1.Blue

    2.Pinkerton

Those are the two that I like, the other albums are all over the place. I like a few songs on Make Believe like "Perfect Situation" and "Haunt You Every Day". Perfect Situation reminds me of the Blue Album.

Some stuff on Green is good, some stuff on Maladroit is good, but Pinkerton and Blue was almost ALL good songs, flawless almost no duds.

  • lol why aren't you arguing at the fact that weezer doesn't perform like this anymore? Rather than cry about how much a failure the red album turned out to be. They have nowhere near this much energy on stage anymore.

  • red kinda sux...

dont have make believe, but i hear it also sux. Pinkerton, Blue, Green, and Maladroit are all amazing tho

  • make believe was a sick album dude

  • Very cool!

  • It's Weezer's music, not yours, if you don't like it go start your own band. :P

Personally, I like all their songs.

  • I personally think all of their albums are grear. But the Green Album is probably the first one I've listened to XD

  • Pinkerton was the first Weezer album I ever listened to. So that'll always be my favorite. "In The Garage" is my favorite song of the blue album though. Does anybody know where this video is live from?

  • whoever decides to fight on youtube

probably has no real life to live

you guys are really pathetic but funny

    because you're all morons

  • I read mormons haha

  • why the fuck there's always a dumbass that says "oh this shit is the best music to smoke , to get wasted" ---' douche

  • weezer, the best music to skate to, the best music to smoke to, and the best music period...... .

  • without question pinkerton will be the weezer album that influences musicians for years to come, as well as fans. blue is a solid effort as well.

  • one word makes weezer great "original" have you ever heard anyone say these guys sold out?........didnt think so they sound like no one out there always have and thats one of the big reasons i love these guys

  • i agree, personally i like pinkerton the most its such a classic and every other album they put out after that is just shite

  • just make sure you get the blue album delux edition it makes it even better

  • screw you, so what if you dont like the Red Album i agree it might not be their best but you dont have to trash it

  • so i guess your being ignorant and close minded.I've listened to it and gave my opinion. So i guess you can't accept that someone doesn't like the album as much as you do.

  • pinkerton is the best by far, and blue album is seconed, followed by the green ablbum and make believe

  • maladroits amazing too. idk theyre all amazing cept red i fuess, but its still good. idk i cant really dislike anything rivers makes

  • Dope!!! Anyone pick up that fucking epic Cobain scream at 2:12

  • Weezer's cool--they need to grow their hair out--I think they owe it to the general public by now

  • pinkerton and the blue album can't be fucked with

  • Am i the only weezer fan who really liked the green album, cuz i loved hash pipe, island in the sun, dont let go, photograph, crab, and smile. they are over the top awesome.

  • No dude i love the green album too.

    1-Pinkerton

    2-Blue Album

    3-Green Album

  • Comment removed

  • Did anyone care for maladroit? I think its an okay album, just not much Weezer in that album

  • what ?!? Maladroit is the best album I think

  • You probably think Make believe is second best to, lol

  • okay here's my list :

    Maladroit

    Make Believe (yep)

TIE :: Green Album // Pinkerton

    Blue Album

That's in ranking of which albums I ALWAYS feel like listening too. Obviously each album has some songs I don't like as much.

and besides that each album has its own sort of "feel." You can't really blast Freak Me Out or Photograph or something

  • Sorry but thats an awful list.

  • yeah except for blue album an pinkerton

  • well I'm sorry but you're wrong

  • come on man, Pinkerton all the way

  • yeah I know Pinkerton has all the classic songs...but do you really like listening to it all the time?

  • yes, yes i do, I don't care what anybody else says

  • 90's!!!! =D

  • Everyone shut up. We all have our opinions. The bottom line is that Weezer rules.

  • EVERYONE HAS THERE OWN FUCKING OPINION ABOUT WHATS WEEZERS BEST ALBUM, SHUT THE FUCK UP NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY YOU CANT CONVINCE SOMEONE TO CHANGE THEIR OPINION TO YOURS. wow..

  • heh heh you shut them up

  • yeah seriously!!

obviously maladroit is the best anyways

  • weezer is so awesome

  • Blue Album will always be my Weezer "standard". Every song on it is boss!

  • yeah, unfortunately they peaked on there first album... every other album since then has been disappointing.

  • maybe if you're stupid.

Pinkerton is their best album, and it's not debatable.

  • idiot! how could you say that... the blue album is *clearly their best work. pinkerton was so drab and stale in comparison. every song on the blue album is a hit, there's like 1 or 2 really good on songs on pinkerton but they would be considered the skipable tracks on the blue album. and I'd take the return of the rentals over pinkerton anyday.

  • I'll take the mature songwriting and cohesiveness found on Pinkerton. 1 or 2 songs? are you mad? when the worst song on the album is Getchoo... you've got a fantastic fucking album. An album with enough fucking balls to divulge in any topic it damn well pleases.

It's their most refreshing and honest work, Rivers will never attain those heights again.

The Blue Album is just pop music, it's not bad music... but to call it better than something as phenomenal and influential as Pinkerton is wrong

  • so you think say it ain't so and undone are pop songs? you call it w/e you want but there's better, catchier songs on the blue album... they do the vocal rounds in a few songs and have bad ass guitar solos and riffs. pinkerton was too artsy fartsy for me...

  • both albums are pop music, weezer has always been a pop band.

the difference is that one album appeals to everyone, and another album is insanely rewarding beyond simply being a good pop record. It's an aural attack, an album that wasn't afraid to be refreshingly honest and often brutal.

Pinkerton means something, it's a statement record... it may be the greatest album of the 90s.

you can call it artsy fartsy if you like, but it just makes you look like someone too dumb to get it.

  • too dumb to get it? ok there dbag, maybe you're too dumb to 'get' the blue album and see why it's clearly the better album. quit arguing with me, it's not a debate it's just a matter of opinions. so you're saying that say it ain't so wasn't a brutally honest song?

  • you're mistaking me... I love the Blue Album, but Pinkerton is just in another world.

Say it Aint So is probably the only truly honest song on the Blue Album, it's also the album's best song... so I fail to see your point... if anything... it's a sign of the maturity and themes that were coming on Pinkerton.

Pinkerton is an album of Rivers Cuomo attacking his own flaws, and that ultimately... is it's genius

that and musically, it's just better. It's a beautiful sounding record.

  • Comment removed

  • dude you can say w/e you want but the blue album sold a hell of a lot more than any other weezer record and it's truly a classic rock album...the songs flow very well in the next, whereas with pinkerton the songs are so different from the next that it's hard to get in to the entire album. critiquing your own flaws doesn't mean you're genius...maybe he just had self esteem issues.

  • fuck you you little shit eating bitch, PINKERTON IS COOL. You are nothing more than a sissy girl who eats his own shit.

  • a sissy GIRLwho eats HIS own shit ...MORON

  • how dare you bitch motherfucker.

  • okay, now you're just being silly.

Pinkerton isn't exactly musically diverse, and that doesn't make it any less amazing.

critiquing yourself is a big step of maturity for any songwriter, one that Rivers lost upon the commercial failure of Pinkerton.

Sales do not matter, it's fucking music man... some of the greatest albums of all time will never approach platinum, Pinkerton being one of them.

  • why do hardcore weezer fans consider the demo/blue album to be the golden age of weezer then? that's because those were the best songs they've ever written.

  • I'd say casual weezer fans consider the Blue Album to be the golden age of weezer.

real fans know that the golden age of weezer was 92-98.

but there's a little period in that period, in which they made an album that was just incredibly unexpected and special.

Pinkerton is so good, that I hate weezer for it... it's so fucking hard to make fun of them for sucking so hard when they achieved something like that.

honestly, Rivers needs Matt Sharp just like J Mascis needs Lou and Murph

  • Very...very very well said

  • Is that a purple guitar Rivers has? Ohh, I like it! By the way Pinkerton and Maladroit will always be the two best cd's of Weezer. They just are! Not to mention there are some underappreciated great songs on Make Believe.

  • omg, what about the Blue Album?

  • Ok, I just went through my weezer collection and reviewed the blue album. I am sticking to my origional statement; however, there are some really great songs on the blue album too. Weezer in general is just sooo freaking great!! :)

  • I think its just the stage lights, his guitar isn't necessarily purple.

  • Sadly, I think you're right.

  • I like this better than the album version.

  • Weezer's so NERDY in the BEST WAY. God, I'm so proud to say I'm a Weezer fan. Rivers is my hero.

  • I <3 this song.

The Blue Album is one of my favorite CDs I have.

  • so many ppl say pinkerton is underappreciated, but clearly not, everyone says its their best album...

  • Only the fans do. It was met with a horrible critical response, and sold like shit when it first came out. It's only started selling decently recently because of the "emo" movement.

  • awesome!!!!

  • This is such a great song!!!!!!!

  • haha kitty pryde

  • and nightcrawler haha

  • What kind of guitar is Brian playing?

  • a SG with a different pick gaurd...

  • It's a Gibson Melody Maker in Cardinal Red, probably 1966-67.

  • Weezer's website has a list of of the equipment they've used. They say that the red SG Brian is using is a '63, they also say that some people insist it's a '66.

  • I love this song, equal with Only in Dreams

  • haha these two are my favorite too, weird.

  • awesome

  • WEEZER ROCKS, i like make beleive the best; it doesn't have as many awsome songs as blue album but every song is still great

  • One of Weezer's worst.

  • WHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTT

  • this is a shining example of geek rock at its finest, and weezer in their prime. id like to hear what you think is weezer's best

  • There was no way make believe was geek rocks finest! IMy favorite weezer tracks are the leaked songs from SFTBH.
